After the actress demands Rs 1.5 crore to endorse a jewellery brand, she is promptly replaced by Ileana D'Cruz at one third of the price
Post her debut in Vicky Donor, Yami Gautam has been having a rollicking time when it comes to endorsing brands. Not only is she the face of a fairness product, she is also the brand ambassador of a cell phone company.
However, when she recently demanded Rs 1.5 crore to endorse a product, the owners of the jewellery brand promptly replaced her with Ileana D'Cruz.
Our source from the jewellery company says, `Yami is definitely in demand but the price she quoted was a bit too much for us. So we went ahead and approached Ileana.`
The source also points out that while Yami is just one film old, Ileana already has a huge fan base in the South. Ileana apparently was signed for a comparatively lesser sum of Rs 50 lakh.
The informer adds, `Ileana is a fresh face and post Barfi! she has been flooded with lots of offers. She showed interest in our brand so we signed her.`
While Yami remained unavailable for comment, Ileana's spokesperson confirmed that she has just signed a diamond jewellery brand.
