It seems that Bollywood flick Rowdy Rathore has many surprises in the kitty for the audience and the latest among them is a song that features Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor. Well, there is a big story behind the casting of Kareena in the song.

Helmed by Prabhu Deva, Rowdy Rathore is jointly produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shabina Khan; the flick stars Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles and is all set to hit theatres on June 1.A little birdie from the town informed that the designer turned-producer Shabina Khan is fond of Kareena Kapoor.

Moreover, the actress would be her first choice for the films she would be producing in future. Very few people know that, Shabina and Kareena are close friends in real life, due to their close bonding the designer turned-producer wants to cast the actress in every movie of hers.

On being quizzed about her bonding with Kareena, Shabina told the sources, “I wanted her to be a part of my first film for emotional reasons. She is my close friend. Obviously I wanted her to be a part of my first film but she had three-four films with her. I wanted to start my film, so if she could not be a part of the film then I thought she can be a part of the song”.

Now days when stealing the music from other films are quite common, Wajid, of the composer duo Sajid-Wajid came out clean regarding the music secrets of Rowdy Rathore.

Recently he confessed that a part of the music in their Rowdy Rathore’ score is borrowed from the original Telugu film Vikramarkudu. Directed by Prabhu Deva, Rowdy Rathore, that has Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, is set for a June 1 release.

"There is a signature tune in Vikramarkudu, which we couldn’t avoid. It was an integral part of the theme in the Telugu film. Our producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is very music-minded, our director Prabhu Deva and my brother Sajid decided that we needed to incorporate that refrain in the Hindi remake, so we did," said Wajid.

"We’ve taken the rights of the original music and then we’ve used it. We`ve also changed the original tune completely. But we still want to draw attention to the borrowed bits before others jump in gleefully and accuse us of plagiarism," he adds tongue-in-cheek that there is nothing underhand about the appropriation.

Jennifer Winget tipped to play the female lead in SLB's next on Star Plus

Telly was the first to break the news of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ambitious project on Star Plus being revived. We have already mentioned that the show is all set to hit the floors from March this year and some of the names who have been signed are Chetan Pandit, Monica Bedi, Ragini Shah and Yatin Karyekar.
For information, the show is about a middle class Gujarati family and their two daughters. However, due to some unavoidable circumstances the family will split and few members will stay in India and others will settle down abroad. The shooting will take place in Gujarat.
Now, the latest dope that we have received is that Jennifer Winget –of Dill Mill Gayye fame – is all set to play the female lead in the yet to be titled soap.
"Jennifer will be a part of the family that will be settled abroad. She has already shot for the pilot," a source added.
Furthermore, a newcomer named Shiney has also been signed to play one of the parallel leads.
We tried contacting Jennifer but she remained unavailable.
