STORY
When 24-year-old Veronica (
Deepika Padukone) and Meera (
Diana Penty),
23, start living together during the summer in London, they have very
different agendas. Meera is awkward, introvert and recovering from a
hoax marriage to Kunal Ahuja (
Randeep Hooda)
who has duped her off her life-savings by using the pretense of setting
up a base for them in London. She is spending her time under Veronica’s
roof until she can get some footing and find a job in this foreign
land. Veronica, on the other hand, is a wild-child, impulsive,
constantly looking for distractions to escape facing issues of a
troubled upbringing. Being poles apart brings the two close, forging a
loyal and solid friendship.
Soon Gautam, 32, (
Saif Ali Khan)
enters their lives, moves in with them and has a whirlwind relationship
with Meera. Meera does love Gautam because his don’t-give-a-damn
attitude reminds her of her husband who had conned her into coming to
London in the first place.
Both Gautam and Veronica believe in living for the moment and they
honestly consider this a fling rather than a serious relationship. But
as three people living together they all have a blast… Though their
intentions for each other don’t change, their friendship starts to grow
strong. It becomes a beautifully balanced friendship between three
people. Soon Gautam realizes that he is in the horns of dilemma since
he has to chose between Meera and Veronica. Unable to decide between
the two, he removes himself from their lives but unlike his intentions,
this sudden emptiness in both Meera and Veronica's life worsens living
for both.

Saif Ali Khan and
Deepika Padukone
were signed on to play the leads in the film. Padukone was offered both
the roles of Veronica and Meera, however the character of Meera was
similar to her role in
Love Aaj Kal and so she chose the role of Veronica as a new challenge.

Diana Penty makes her Bollywood entry with this film.

Director Homi Adajania said
Imran Khan was his first choice for this film which has
Saif Ali Khan,

were also used to make the scene look as real as possible.

But it is interesting to note that the discussion table now has planned something opposite from the expectation. Grapevine states that in the coming episode, Sanchi will take the extreme step of filing for divorce and getting out of the forced marriage with Indu.
However, in the coming week, the story will take a new turn when Sanchi will muster all the courage and files for a divorce. It will be a great shock for Indu when he gets the divorce papers in hand. He will be an angry man. At this point viewers will see some bad shades of Indu. Furthermore, the drama will go high when, as per the court orders both Indu and Sanchi will have to live under one roof for six months together before getting a divorce.
The love cum hate equation is now turning complicated!
