C.I.D. is a series that airs on Sony Entertainment Television. It is about a team of detectives belonging to the Crime Investigation Department in Mumbai. The protagonist of the show is Shivaji Satam. C.I.D. is regarded as the longest running TV series in India. On 21 January 1998, Sony Entertainment Television and Fireworks Productions launched a weekly crime thriller called C.I.D.C.I.D. set another record on 7 November 2004, when B. P. Singh entered the Limca Book of Records and Guinness Book of World Records for canning an entire episode named "The Inheritance" / C.I.D. 111 in a single shot of 111 minutes (one hour fifty one minutes) without a single cut.
According to an old interview of B. P. Singh, he shot six episodes of C.I.D. on Doordarshan (DD) in 1986 'even before Sony TV saw its first daylight'.
On 3 January 2005, Sony Entertainment Television and Fireworks Productions launched a daily investigative thriller called CID Special Bureau, which had a run of 168 episodes, and ended on 27 April 2006. CID Special Bureau was also aired on SAB TV.
Beginning on 7 July 2006, a nationwide hunt called "C.I.D. Operation Talaash" was launched, in search of a new officer to join the C.I.D. team,which ended on 1 September 2006. Viivek V. Mashru was declared the winner of the hunt and his character's name is Vivek.
After its success, C.I.D.'s producers arranged an award function — CID Gallantry Awards — on 26 January 2010, on Sony Entertainment Television to celebrate their 12th anniversary.

Mar 7,  2:3 PM Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan won the Best Actress award for her performance in the film 'Dirty Picture' in the 59th National Film Awards 2011 announced in New Delhi today. Girish Kulkarni won the Best actor Award in the Marathi Film Deool. The films Deool in Marathi and Byari language jointly won the Best Feature Film Award. The Award for Best Direction was won by the film "Anhe Gohrey Daan" ( Punjabi film) directed by Gurvider Singh. The film 'Chillar Party' bagged the Best children's film award. The best Child Artist award was jointly won by child artists in the Hindi films Stanley ka Dabba and Chillar Party. The Indira Gandhi Award for the Best Debut film of a Director was won by the Tamil film Aaranya kandam Directed by Kamararaja Thiagarajan. "I Am" won the National award for the best Hindi film. Anand Bhate won the Best male playback singer Award in the Marathi film Balagandharva, while the best female Playback singer award was baggged Roopa Ganguly in Bengali film Abosheyshey. Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary says she couldn't turn down the offer to judge "Chhote Miyan Chapter 3" because she loves spending time with kids.

"I have always loved comedy and when 'Chhote Miyan Chapter 3' was offered to me, I couldn't turn it down. It gives me the double chance of not only being around kids, but also witnessing the innocent minds of kids at work while creating comic moments that leave me in splits," said the actress, who has a daughter named Aryana.

"Being a mother, I cherish every minute I get to spend with children because they are the perfect balance of innocence and mischievousness. The kids on the show are exceptionally talented and keep us thoroughly entertained through their acts. I am sure that the audiences will enjoy watching it just as much as I have enjoyed working on it," she added.

Tellyworld  has reported that 24 Frames' new offering for Colors Chhal..Sheh aur Maat is set to surface soon. With names like Karan Goddwani, Hunar Hali already locked in, the latest to join the cast is Dev Keswani who was last seen in Sahara One's Subha Kadam.

According to our source , " Dev Keswani will play the character Karan, a fun loving guy but at the same time very responsible towards his family. Karan's character has different shades.Initially, he will enter as main lead Abhishek Malik's friend but later on it will be revealed that he is his younger brother.  Karan will do everything that his brother tells him to do."

We contacted Dev who confirmed the news, " Yes, I am a part of the show but can't divulge the details about my character. It's an interesting one and you will have to wait and watch."

Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga

Sooraj Barjatya is a talented man when it comes to penning down family dramas. He is also a renowned filmmaker, remember ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ and ‘Vivaah’, both movies went on to become blockbusters with the former being one of the all time greatest hits in Bollywood.

Sooraj has been away from the small screen after his successful ‘Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki’ but he is now storming his way back. The industry is abuzz with his latest venture ‘Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ and at the very onset there is an interesting premise.

The central plot of ‘Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ revolves around a doting mother Kalyani Devi whose family has a tradition of getting grooms to move in with the brides at her place instead of the other way around which is a normal custom. So we have Kalyani Devi’s husband and all her brothers in law staying in with their wives as per their quaint tradition. When Kalyani Devi and Raghuveer Raichand’s daughter Angana is set to marry Aakash, tradition and history has to repeat itself and Aakash would be the one saying ‘bidaai’ to his family and not Angana to hers.

The makers have denied any links of the soap to Anil Kapoor starrer ‘Jamai Raja’ which touched the same issue as that of Ghar Jamai. Sach Ka Saamna in its first season earned such high TRPs that the Star Plus airing the show wanted the production house to produce 40 additional episodes of SKS. Various plans were discussed and extending the show’s runtime to one hour was one of them. 50 episodes were initially planned and production house stuck to that plan as extending the number of episodes would have been a huge process — testing the contestants' authenticity, getting their details and contacting family members. PUNAAR VIVAAH ON ZEETV

Punar Vivaah is a love story with a difference. As the name and the theme suggests it is based on a couple who gets re-married. The female is a single mother who was dederted by her husband and the male lead's wife died and he has two daughters. It narrates the story of a couple who is forced to stay together under tough circumstances and how their emotions and feelings bring them together.
Punar Vivaah is a story about two individuals, Aarti(Kratika Sengar) and Yash(Gurmeet Choudhary). Aarti is a divorcee with a son, Ansh. Yash is a widower with twin daughters, Payal and Palak. Its been four years since Aarti's husband left her and then divorced her. Yash's wife, Arpita, died three yeas ago. Aarti's In-Laws and Yash's family Wants them to get re-married. The story is about how both the families, after deciding about the re-marriage of Aarti and Yash , convince them for the re-marriage(Punar Vivah in Hindi).

 Story

Aarthi and Yash

Punar Vivah is the story of Yash and Aarthi's life after second marriage. The show begins with AarthiKratika Sengar) dancing in the sangeet ceremony of her friend Mansi's marriage. Aarthi is a divorcee, she lives with her son Ansh, her mother-in-law Shobha and her fathe-in-law Satyendra Dubey. A wealthy women named Vimala arrives there and is impressed seeing Aarthi doing her work. She is impressed with the way she cooks, handles the chidren and decides to marry Aarthi to her son without knowing that she is a divorcee. But after knowinng it she insults Aarthi of deceiving her and curses her that she will never get married again. Shobha comes to Aarthi's aid and vows to remarry Aarthi to a fit person. (
Mansi's mother comes and solves the issue by inviting them to Jayamala ceremony. Mansi consoles Aarrthi and takes her along with her. On their way Yash (Gurmeet Chaudhary) the wedding planner misunderstands by accident makes the flowers, which was to fall on Mansi (Pankhuri Jain) and Vijay (Mansi's fiancee) to fall on Aarthi. Yash is a widower and has twin daughters Payal and Palak. He lives with his mother Gayatri, Father Scindia, elder brother- Pankaj, Sister-in-law Vidhi and younger brother Pratik.
Both of Yash and Aarthi's family wish them to remarry but they deny. Aarthi and Yash recollect the memories of the past where they spent time with their respective spouses.

 Proposal for Marriage

One day Mr. Scindia asks Pratik to give back the goods they bought and get back the advance money from Mr. Satyendra Dubey, FIL of Aarthi. Pratik goes their and meets Aarthi she denies to pay back the advance money and also ask them to pay the full payment and threatens Pratik to leave. Pratik is impressed with Aarthi. Another day both the families are travelling in a train. Ansh runs into tha AC coach and Aarthi rushes behind him but gets caught as they don't have a ticket for travelling in AC. Pratik informs the TTR thai she is her sister-in-law. Aarthi thanks him and leaves. Pratik is completely sure that she would be a match for his brother. He speaks with his mother and Sister in law, they go and speak to Mr. and Mrs. Dubey . They want only a widow and not a divorcee but Satyendra hides the truth that Aarthi is a divorcee and convinces Shobha to say the same. Yash's mom lay one condition for the marriage that "they want only a mother for Palak and Payal and nothing else and so Aarthi should not bring her son with her". Shobha and Satyendra Dubey are shocked to hear this and discuss within them. Aarthi overhears this and flatly refuses the proposal. On the other hand Yash and his father do not accept the condition laid by Gayathri (Yash's mom) and they ask her to inform Mr. and Mrs. Dubey about it. Even though she is not convinced she does it. Shobha picks up the phone and Gayathri informs that she has no demands and asks Shobha to fix the engagement date.

 Dilemma Prevails

Yash has accepted for the marriage halfheartedly but Aarthi is is not convinced. Ansh's school organizes a competition in which Aarthi and Ansh enroll. Aarthi slips due to her shawl and loses the game. Ansh is upset. He goes home and writes a letter to his father asking for him to come back. Aarthi reads it and gets upset and accepts for her Punar Vivaah. Later that day Prashant (Aarthi's ex-husband) calls and says he misses his family. Shobha and Satyendra shouts at him and cuts the call. Aarthi is disturbed. Yash remembers the time spent with his dead wife Arpita. Shobha asks her husband to clear the misunderstanding of Aarthi being a widow. She says life cannot start with a lie and he accepts. Ansh is elated when Shobha says Aarthis is going to bring him a father but Payal and Palak say to Yash that step mother's are cruel.

 Engagement Happens

Aarthi informs Mansi that she has accepted the proposal of Yash's family. Instead of pacifying Aarti, Mansi tells her that a relationship can only work if they was physical intimacy between the partners. Aarti disagrees with Mansi. Shobha and Satyendra are still apprehensive of hiding the truth about Aarthi being a divorcee. In Yash's house Gayathri misplaces Aarthi's engagement ring. Vidhi manages the situation by giving a spare ring. Next day Yash's family comes to Satyendra's house. They meet Aarthi and get impressed. Pratik, Mansi and Vidhi unitedly manages to make Yash and Aarthi accept for speaking personally. But when they get alone they do not speak. A bug comes near Aarthi, Yash removes it, while doing so his hand touches Aarthi. Aarthi gets apprehensive about Mansi telleing about relationship can only work if they was physical intimacy between the partners. Aarthi gets upset and leaves the place in mid-way. Shobha pacifies her and they come down and the ceremony is completed. Ansh comes from school and is excited on seeing his father, Gayathri is not impressed with him but Scindia consoles her. After the cermony gets over, the family of Yash leave.

More Misunderstandings

The reason for Aarthi's strange behaviour strikes Yash while speaking with his brother. He decides to clarify with Aarthi that his only intention for marrying is for his daughters and asks for a meeting with Aarthi. Aarthi accepts and decides to make it clear to Yash that her decision for Punar Vivah was for Ansh. The place they had decided to meet was not a decent one. Unfortunately the place was chosen by Yash. Aarthi again misunderstands him. The story takes a twist when the police come for a raid and arrest Yash and Aarthi for being present their and as a suspect. Aarti and Yash are handcuffed on their way to the police station. Yash asks a person sitting besides him for his cell phone. He sends a SMS to his father and informs him about the matter.Soon after, the police inspector receives a call from an influential person who asks him to set Yash and Aarti free. The inspector gets scared on learning about Yash's identity and so releases the duo. The inspector also hands over Yash's cell phone to him. After the police leaves, Aarti refuses to accept Yash's help and decides to go home alone. When Aarti leaves, it starts thundering. Yash gets worried wondering how Aarti would travel home alone and tries to stop her. Aarti again misunderstands Yash and decides to teach him a lesson. Aarti and Yash both want to clear out their intentions behind getting married to each other but fail. Yash comes to drop Aarti home. New Life
Palak and Payal feel lonely as the family is busy making arrangements for the weddings. Pratik assures to convince Yash to take the duo for shopping. Vidhi, Pratik, Yash, Prashant, Payal and Pakal go to a shopping mall. On learning that Pratik has asked Paridi to accompany them, Vidhi suggests to call Aarti as well. Yash, however, does not agree with Vidhi. Aarti and Ansh are also present in the same mall but are unaware about Yash's family. Yash and his family too do not see Aarti. Yash decides to take his daughters to the gaming zone. Aarti too takes Ansh to the gaming zone. Aarti accidentally dashes with Yash outside the gaming zone. The duo is left surprised to see each other. At the gaming zone, Ansh and Palak get into fight over a trivial matter. Ansh threatens to complain to his new father about Palak, while she threatens to complain about Ansh to her father. Aarti gets worried when she sees Ansh fighting and so rushes inside. Ansh complains to Aarti about Palak. He is surprised to see Yash and complains to him too. Palak and Payal get angry at Ansh and accuse him of lying. They claim that Yash was their father. Aarti pacifies Palak and Payal and makes them understand that Yash would soon become Ansh's father too. She also makes them understand that she would be their new mother. Paridi's parents, Mr and Mrs Khanna visit Scindia Residence. The couple brings shagun for Pratik and Paridi's wedding. Mr Scindia and Gayatri get furious when Mr Khanna gifts a bottle of champagne to Pratik as the marriage gift. Vidhi visits the Dubey Residence and gives shagun (wedding gifts) for Aarti and Yash's wedding. Gayathri did not buy any gifts for Ansh as she felt that he comiing to their house is a gift and gives an used sherwany to him. When Aarti and Ansh return home, they are surprised to see the gift boxes. Ansh gets happy as he believes that Yash had sent gifts for him. Aarti is left shocked when she sees the wedding card. She gets shocked on learning that her marriage was fixed on April 2, which was her and Prashant's wedding anniversary. Shobha sees Aarti and tries to pacify her. She requests Aarti to forget her past and start a new life with Yash. She rips off Aarti and Prashant's wedding card and requests Aarti to forget her past and start a new life with Yash.

 Marriage Preparations

Satyendra asks Shobha to make all arrangements as they had to leave for the wedding venue the following day for pre-wedding functions. Next morning, before leaving for the venue, Shobha tells Satyendra to inform Aarti that they had told Scindia family that she was a widow and not a divorcee. Satyendra is about to reveal the truth to Aarti when Mansi arrives. After Aarti leaves, Shobha decides to reveal the truth to Aarti at the venue. Aarti comes to the venue along with Satyendra, Shobha, Ansh and Mansi. Paridi arrives with her family and a number of relatives and friends. Aarti feels sad, when Yash's aunt insults her family by questioning them why none of their relatives had accompanied them questions them whether she thought they had come to an outing instead of marriage. Yash's aunt is a widow herself, but she is jelous that Aarthi gets a chance of re-marriage but her family is not thinking about her.
