Ekta Kapoor started making telly soaps like Yash Raj films, says Sudha Chandran

Sudha Chandran doesn’t need any introduction as the lady was an inspiration already before she forayed in the glam biz. She started her career with Nache Mayuri, which is a film based on her real-life story and also braved out of a tragic accident and started dancing again.

Ever since then, Sudha has never looked back and it's been almost three decades that this versatile artist has been entertaining the nation and globe via various mediums. In fact the actress is awestruck with the way television industry has progressed and doesn't mind being recognized as a TV actor.

"TV is what made me a star. It rescued me when I had no work and gave me recognition. Mostly we are addicted to television shows for two reasons; whether it's because we get to connect with the story-line as somewhat similar is faced by all of us, or otherwise it gives you something which is totally fictional, unrealistic but catchy.

But then, Ekta changed all the rules. She started making television like Yash Raj films; her serials were lavish and larger than life. It was time of gloss and plastic."

Well, for this even we would happily give the credit to Ekta, after all she is the queen of small screen!
