On its release, Kya Super Kool Hain Hum generally got mixed reviews with the "Times of India" giving it 3/5 stars for its refreshing adult sex comedy and the actors, however criticizing its dumb and rather unreal storyline[6]. Taran Adarsh added "It's not for pseudo intellectuals, neither for fuddy-duddies or hard-nosed and stubborn evaluators, who persistently dismiss and disregard movies of its ilk as lowbrow absurdity," This movie was praied by the youth who turned up in millions[7]. Janhavi Patel of FilmiTadka gave it 2 out of 5 stars and wrote in her review - "Fans of the Kyaa Kool Hain Hum will make a beeline for this movie which is dirtier and more shameless. College-goers are sure to fill up the cinemas. But the people who were annoyed by the promos should better stay far away"[8]. Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV gave it 1 out of 5 stars and said - "The film is ostensibly targeted at the teen segment and it might even find some takers there. But it barely passes muster as a sex comedy. It’s crude, crass and completely clueless"[9]. Writing for DNA Aniruddha Guha gave it 2 out of 5 stars and wrote - "Kya Super Kool Hai Hum amuses you intermittently but largely leaves your brains in a tangle, and the mind gasping for breath. In other words, dimaag ki macho deta hai"[10]. Independent Bollywood gave the movie 3 out of 5 Star and stated "Laugh out Louder"[11].
