Legendary historical saga Veer Shivaji on Colors recently witnessed a big fat leap and renowned characters such as Dr. Amol Kolhe, Amit Behl, Nawab Shah, Raza Murad, Chetan Hansraj were brought in to play important roles.

It was expected that the entry of these high-profile names will lead the show in continuing its TRPs that it had managed to get of late, but it never managed to gain the desired numbers, and the latest info that sources received is that the channel has decided to pull it off-air.

Yes, we know it’s a shocking development. There was also a buzz that Shivaji would get an extension if the numbers went up. But alas, TRPs never smiled on it. Producer of the show, Abhimanyu Singh confirmed the news and said, “Yes, it will wave goodbye by end of May (2012). It will have a logical ending with Shivaji’s battle with Adil Shah and Afzal Khan coming to an end.”

He further shared, “I am thankful to Colors for allowing me to make such an important show. It’s great that we could pull the concept, given the sensitive nature of it, without stirring up a single controversy.”

Well, another show bites the dust. All we can say is that viewers will definitely miss Veer Shivaji!!!
