Sanjoy Wadhwa's Sphere Origins to churn out a family drama for Sony TV
Now that Sony TV has stepped into the world of fiction back, it is being overloaded with offers from various production houses.
In the recent past, we saw Sony bringing in many dailies. And now buzz has it that Sunjoy Wadhwa’s Sphere Origins, highly known for helming shows like Saat Phere, Balika Vadhu, Gulaal, and Jyoti, is willing to churn out a drama for Sony. It is notable that Sphere Origins has always tried to bring forth different social issues on the small screen and they have indeed stood successful in educating the masses.
Earlier they had their show Godh Bharaai running on the same channel and the new project in talks is also going to be based on one of the social issues. Sources from town say that this show is going to be based on two sisters. One will get married in a nuclear family, while the other will have a joint family. It will track their journey after marriage. “The auditions for this daily are currently on and its shooting is expected to start soon,” added the source.
Confirming the news from his ends, Sanjoy said, “Yes, we are making a show for Sony Entertainment Television but at this point of time, I can’t comment anything beyond that.”
