It was four years ago, the superhit show Balika Vadhu, based on child marriage, brought in a wave of rural shows. Now it moves into a progressive zone with the lead characters Anandi and Jagya finally getting divorced.
Being the traditional Indian wife, it was tough for Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) to cut off from Jagya (Shashank Vyas). However in the recent episodes we witnessed that Dadisa, who earlier had a conventional mindset, now has realised that it was unjust for Anandi to suffer like this for lifetime and that’s is why she took the life-altering step of getting the two divorced.
The upcoming episode will show Dadisa and Jagya’s father Bhairon visiting Jagat in Mumbai to get the divorce papers signed. And after reluctance, he will sign them eventually. Sources say that in the upcoming episodes, Jagya’s life will be affected, as his career that is already in the doldrums will face more roadblocks.
Anandi was his lucky charm and after the divorce, Jagya’s downfall will begin. His wife Gauri will be successful in her career, which will lead to trouble between them. Anandi, on the other hand, will try to make sense of her life while her family will look out for the right man for her. The channel Colors will finalise a suitable actor for the role in a week’s time.
