With Habib Faisal directing the movie and Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra acting in it, how can one expect Ishaqzaade to fail at the box office?
The movie which released this Friday along with Karisma Kapoor starrer Dangerous Ishq created an impact on the people which Vikram Bhatt’s movie couldn’t make.
Arjun Kapoor, son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin did a splendid job at the box office with their movie. Being a low budget movie and the star cast also being new the movie has brought wonders to the cinema. The love story of the two youngsters is really appreciated by everyone.
The movie earned about Rs 4.54 crore on the first day, making it the fifth biggest opening of the year (Agneepath – Rs 23 crore, Housefull 2 – Rs 14 crore, Agent Vinod – Rs 10 crore and Jannat 2 – Rs 8.52 crore). And it showed marginal growth on the second day by making Rs 5 crore. So the estimated weekend collections of this movie is said to be around Rs 15 crore net.
On the other hand, Dangerous Ishq could manage to gross only 3.5 crores in the first three days. Well, the filmmakers now know what kind of concepts is being taken in more.
