Delhi based model turned actress Mrinalini Tyagi is gaining fame and praises with her role of Tejaswini aka Teju, the daughter of Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and Ankita (Archana Lokhande) in Pavitra Rishta. The pretty girl wanted to be Miss India but destiny got her into the field of acting.

So far we have only known her professional front but the fact about her personal life did leave us with a surprise. The girl is happily married and says, “I am happily married to Manan Modi, who is the events head in a renowned daily. It’s a love cum arranged marriage. He was associated with Banugi Mein Miss India contest wherein I also participated. Eventually our eyes met, love blossomed and the rest is history. He is well settled, very humble and understands me the most”.

Further the actress added, “We tied the knot on 21 November last year (2011) just after which Pavitra Rishta happened. After we got married in Delhi, I flew down to Mumbai for a look test and later I signed the contract. During the look test, I had mehndi (henna) on my hands. I was newly married. Moreover, Manan is very understanding. Just a week later, I was busy with work and he let me take up and do this show.”

“He is very much from this field; he knows the timings and everything. The sad part is that we haven’t had time to enjoy honeymoon, may be later as at this moment I am busy with the show.” shares Mrinalini.

As reported last, Zee TV’s Choti Bahu is done with the current track where they introduced the Bharadwaj family as Radhika’s (Rubina Dilaik) real family.

Though it was a twist in the tale but the double role sequence couldn’t bag the desired numbers and hence the CVs quickly moved on to the next option. They got in the paranormal activities within the Rajpurohit house and made the viewers witness a war between the good and the evil.

Eventually, it showed the triumph of goodness and now the story will take a new turn. Meanwhile, Choti Bahu will welcome a new face onboard. Buzz has it that after getting in Colors’ Havan fame Prachin Chauhan to play Kanha, the makers have now roped in Srishty Rode to play Radha. Sources say that her character Radha will be seen walking earth and going to the protagonist Radhika's house.

Srishty's character will be bubbly, chirpy and an eternal optimist. It is notable that she was last seen in Zee TV’s Shobha Somnath Ki.

Let us now wait and see how her entry brings a change in the track!

Twelve beautiful Indian television actresses are adorning a financial calendar shot by Marinating Films, Mumbai. It is first of its kind financial calender shot with Television beauties and has them donning a new avatar! Tell Buzz is offering you an exclusive sneak preview into the calendar and revealing your favourite star's look.

Twelve stunning beauties who have made it to the calender are Ankita Lokhande , Pooja Gor, Juhi Parmar, Sukirti Kandpal, Giaa Manek, Shweta Tiwari, Shweta Salve, Divyanka Tripathy, Sara Khan, Mouni Roy, Anita Hassanandani, Hina Khan and Barkha Bisht Sengupta.

We spoke to Sunny Arora, Director of Marinating films, who feels that TV actresses have a more dedicated fan following than the various models who feature in a plethora of calendars - " TV actresses who have featured in the calender are household names and it is rather shocking that such an initiative has not been taken up before"

He also mentioned that he was surpised to not to find a list of top Tv stars on internet - ' We wanted to zero in on the stars and were shocked to not to find any list. We turned to our journalist friends and TRP's for guidance. Keeping all this in mind we chose the names. Also, the actresses we have selected are very stylish, which was mandatory for the calendar'

Tellybuzz got in touch with few of the stars who were associated with the project and their enthusiasm was palpable. Divyanka Tripathi of 'Banoo Main Teri Dulhan' feels that the experience was surreal- "Shooting with Marinating Films was a very comfortable experience. I had certain reservations about going all glamorous , but it was handled really well."

We quizzed her about naming three men se would love to see on a similar TV All Male calendar - " Ronit Roy , Gurmeet Chowdhary and Apoorva Agnihotri" and we also asked her to compose her own beauty ad and she replied - " Presenting to you the epitome of womanhood that means divine soul. Candidates interested in knowing more about this diva , get in touch with India Forums"

Sukirti Kandpal of 'Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani' feels that her shoot made her see herself in a new light- " I love the way they have highlighted my hair and the forest background does justice to it. It is just a completely new look'. When she was asked about one trait that defines her inner beauty she replied -" I'm brutally honest. Even if I may an effort to lie , my eyes belie my futile effort.' Her response to what would your beauty ad be , she promptly replied - " 100% natural - Be it face or hair"

Giaa Manek of 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' felt that all the girls included in the show broke free from their regular mold and donned a different avatar -" Everyone looked glamourous and beautiful. I do think that Hina Khan's pictures have come out beautifully."

On further questioning she revealed that it was the first time she flirted with a red lipper -' I have a very innocent face and was not sure if I could carry a red lipstick. But once my lips were pianted red, I surprised myself. I feel I can now certainly endorse a lip stick brand"

Barkha Bisht of 'Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi' who has just returned post delivering her baby feels that she had her reservations but then the crew put her at ease - " I was circumspect about wearing an outfit that revealed my back. I delivered my baby just a few months back and was not sure if I was in my best shape. But, the pictures have come out really well". She feels that she can certainly endorse a body bronzer and it makes her look exotic -" If I have to compose a beauty ad for myself I would say a young 32 years old , exotic beauty who will take your breath away"

Anita Hassanandani of 'Kavyanjali' feels the entire concept of the calendar is very bold - "It was very exciting to be a part of such an experience. The concept was very bold and totally different from the 'Saas Bahu' norm." She feels all the effort that she has put in tone herself has paid off - "I had to shoot some really bold pictures with a drenched pallu. I'm glad that all the effort I put in to shed the weight shows in the pictures."

Pooja Gor of 'Pratigya' feels that her entire look has stood out for her-" I can not really pin point a feature of mine that has stood out in the pictures , but the entire layout looks so different and it is a pleasant surprise". She adds that she was surprised to not to see Kritika Kamra in the list -" I was surprised that Kritika Kamra was not part of the shoot. She is a beautiful girl". Her one trait that defines her inner beauty is her ability to call 'Spade a Spade' -" My attitude is my biggest strength. I'm upright and straighforward and dont mind speaking my mind out"

Calendar will be unveiled tonight at 9:30 pm at Sheesha Lounge, Juhu.

Love triangle to take place all again in Colors' show Uttaran again

It seems that Colors’ show Uttaran has been unable to find a new interesting story line ever since the leap has taken place. If believe the sources, the same love triangle will be repeated in the show that earlier took place between Veer (Nandish Sandhu), Iccha (Tina Dutta) and Tapasya (Rashmi Desai).

Buzz says that this time the love triangle will be seen between Meethi (Tina Dutta), who is Iccha’s daughter with a face alike her mother’s, Mukta (Sreejita De),Tapasya’s daughter and Aman (Gaurav S. Bajaj), who has recently entered the show.

After showing tragedy after the leap, the show will take a romantic turn with Meethi, meeting her dream man in the soap, which is portrayed by Gaurav S. Bajaj.

Though he first bumps into Meethi, later Mukta too will get attracted to him in the show. In a statement, Gaurav says, "To get into the skin of the character, I have been insisting that everyone on the sets address me as Aman instead of Gaurav. He brings a certain level of joy and thrill to Meethi and Mukta's lives and I am sure that the audiences will appreciate Aman's personality and character."

Now it has to be seen that whom Aman falls for!

Don't be conned by the title, tagline or the theme track into assuming Bittoo Boss to be a cool, cocky or contemporary cinema. Alas the pun in the trailer doesn't transcend into fun in the film. Bittoo Boss is not bad but boring cinema.

Bittoo (Pulkit Samrat) is your archetypal small-town boy with big dreams. He works as the local videographer of the town and aspires to shoot films someday. But when things don't go his way, he is lured into the business of blue films. Setting up spy cameras in honeymoon lodges, he attempts to shoot porn films on unassuming couples. But being the exemplary hero, his conscience awakens just at the right time.
The first few scenes might give a Band Baajaa Baaraat kinda impression with the hero meeting the heroine (Amita Pathak) in a marriage setting and subsequently pursuing her endlessly. But thereafter Bittoo Boss doesn't bear any resemblance with the story or spark of BBB. Rather there is no palpable chemistry between the lead couple and even their romance track comes across as corny. Picture this scene where Bittoo tells his babe that he slyly shot some footage of her while she was changing clothes and instead of being angry, she turns coy.
The narrative is more or less flat in the first half and one really hopes the graph to go better in the second half, with the central idea of hidden-camera abuse coming into picture. This is where the otherwise dull film could have scored some brownie points if it was supported by an eventful screenplay. Sadly beyond the two sporadic spy-camera episodes, the film doesn't have anything exciting to offer. While the first episode could have been wittier, the second just doesn't pass muster.
Further it's essential for the lead pair to part ways so that, just when the heroine is about to be married to someone else in the climax, the hero's father can command his son 'Jaa meri bahu ko leke aa...' (Go get my daughter-in-law). And guess what - Bittoo wins his babe in the end by busting a blue film racket.
Neither the writing nor the direction by debutant Supavitra Babul manages to strike a chord with the viewer. The film tries too hard to be funny but gets its basic comic timing wrong. At times you feel even the background score isn't complementing the scene.
Pulkit Samrat seems to have a strong Ranbir Kapoor hangover. The hero shows potential which sadly remains untapped in a mediocre script. Amita Pathak is better as compared to her past films but that's not saying much. She goes almost missing in the second half only to return in the climax. The actor playing a cabbie-turned-sidekick irritates.
Bittoo Boss neither boasts of the drama of Bigg Boss (from where it derives its title and theme) nor the entertainment value of Band Baajaa Baaraat (from where it derives its basic backdrop).

First Star One revamped into Life OK and now we are again hearing of the new channel gearing for some do ups. It is notable that Life OK tried to do things in a different manner and brought some innovation with its shows.

Be it the time slot of twenty minutes, roping Madhuri Dixit as the narrator for the shows or even airing the shows seven days a week, everything was done with proper planning. And now we hear that the channel is set for another change in its programming. Going by the buzz, post axing Zindagi Kahe Smile Please owing to its poor TRPs, Life OK will show the doors to Meri Maa and Tum Dena Saath Mera. Both the shows will see their last telecast on April 22, 2012.

Well, this is not just it as there are further surprises to come from the channel’s end. We had already informed you about Shapath going bi-weekly. Sources say that it will air for one hour on Saturdays and for two hours on Sundays from 23 April 2012 for a month. After that, this show will air for an hour on both these days at 9 pm.

Shows like Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev, Amrit Manthan, Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki, Dil Se Di Dua… Saubhagyavati Bhav and Aasman Se Aage would air for 30 Minutes for five days a week. Later, one can expect more changes to be incorporated by the channel.

They seem to be fighting hard!

Veena hunts for man like Big B

If a guy has characteristics like Amitabh Bachchan, she will marry him, says Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who will hunt for her ideal man on reality show "Swayamvar Season 4 - Veena Ka Vivaah".

"Not exactly like Big B but if the boy has certain characteristics like him, like his beautiful voice and a personality like him, I think I can compromise on other things," said the actress on the sets of TV show "Movers and Shakers".

Known as controversy's favourite child, Veena knows how to handle people.

"I think it's me. Outside factors don't affect me and I am responsible for all my happiness and pain. Nothing that happens around me affects me. If today you appreciate me then also my reaction would be the same as it will be when you criticise me," said Veena.

The actress, who became known here after her stint on reality show "Bigg Boss 4", raised a storm when she allegedly posed nude for a men's magazine cover. Veena denied shooting in the buff.

Right now Veena has a host of films in her kitty.

She has finished shooting for "Mumbai 125 km", "Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai" and "Zindagi 50-50". She is shooting for "Rajani Ki Toh Lag Gayi" and will soon start shooting for "Supermodel" with Ashmit Patel.

Hirani refused to be judge on Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar 2

Salman Khan was reportedly paid Rs 3.5 – 5 crore for every appearance on the last season of his celebrated reality television show Bigg Boss.
The Big B on the other hand got Rs 75 lakh per episode for the 2011 season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. But it’s not just the actors who garner such high fee to judge or host a show. Mumbai Mirror has found out that filmmaker Raju Hirani was recently offered a whopping Rs 1 crore per episode to judge a singing reality show Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar.
Sources reveal that initially the Munna Bhai maker was offered a big amount to be a judge on the show. Despite Hirani’s initial refusal, the channel and the production house who wanted a celebrity face for the judges panel, kept on insisting. In fact, they kept increasing the remuneration amount to lure the filmmaker. The amount was increased to Rs 1 crore per episode. But Hirani did not change his decision since he had to start work on his next film.
A source close to the production told us that the makers even considered Vishal Bhardwaj as one of the judges. However, since Vishal is busy shooting his film

Agneepath (English: Path of Fire) is a 2012 Indian action thriller film produced by Karan Johar. It is a remake of the 1990 film of the same name and is directed by Johar's former assistant Karan Malhotra. Though publicized as a remake; the film borrows only the basic plot of the original, while making the characters and incidents completely different. The title of the film is taken from a poem of the same name called 'Agneepath'^[2] which was penned by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh's father, and is recited at the beginning of the movie and creates a thematic link that continues through the movie, particularly in the climax, both literally and metaphorically.
While Hrithik Roshan plays the lead role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, Sanjay Dutt plays the role of the main antagonist Kancha Cheena, originally played by Amitabh Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa respectively.^[3] The film stars Priyanka Chopra as the female lead. Other members of the cast include Rishi Kapoor playing a newly introduced negative character, Om Puri and Zarina Wahab among others.^[4]^[5]^[6] The award winning character of Krishnan Iyer M.A played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original has been totally done away with. Shooting of the film mostly took place in Diu and Mumbai's film city. Originally slated for release on 20 January, Agneepath was postponed by a week to 26 January 2012, making it a Republic Day release. Upon release, the film broke the highest opening day collections record and became a critical and commercial success, unlike the originanal.

In an interview with The Times Of India, Karan Johar explained that he had the intention of remaking the original Agneepath ever since the film released 22 years ago, because according to him, the commercial failure of the film broke his father's heart. The idea of the remake materialized on the sets of Johar's film My Name Is Khan in which Karan Malhotra was an associate director. Johar told Malhotra his desire to remake the original film and asked him to revisit it again for which he agreed immediately.^[9]
According to the art director Sabu Cyril, Mandwa and Diu, the villages where the events of the film take place were chosen because they were completely isolated from the urban areas. A big haveli like structure with tantric paintings on the walls, resembling an old fort built by the Portuguese (who had historically occupied Diu) was created as the den of film's main antagonist Kancha Cheena which was later recreated in Mumbai to shoot the song Chikni Chameli. Vijay's (main protagonist) shelter, a small sack-like thing on the terrace in a chawl was built on some open ground with a hundred houses.^[10]

Debutant director Karan Malhotra and Karan Johar approached Hrithik Roshan in 2010 for the lead role of protogonist Vijay Deenanath Chauhan. He agreed to the play the role even before he finished hearing the script.^[11] Priyanka Chopra was cast as Kaali Gawde, the female lead. Sanjay Dutt was signed on to play the character of Kancha Cheena, the main antagonist.^[3] The award winning character of Krishnan Iyer M.A., originally played by Mithun Chakraborty was totally done away with and rather a completely new negative character, Rauf Lala was introduced and was played by actor Rishi Kapoor.^[5] Other members of the cast include Om Puri & Zarina Wahab. Actress Katrina Kaif was approached to do an item number for the film, which she eventually agreed.^[12]
Initially, Karan Malhotra approached Sikander Kher for the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan as he wanted a fresh and strong face for the portrayal of Vijay. However, Sikander turned it down due to his prior commitment to Players.
Filming started in January 2011. The entire film was shot in Diu with a few scenes shot in a mill in Mumbai. Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt both undertook a strict exercise regime to gain muscles for the film. On October 18 it was reported that Hrithik Roshan had injured himself during shooting and thus the shooting was delayed by 15 days.

Reception

The music of Agneepath got positive reviews from some of the top reviewers. Joginder Tuteja gave 3.5 stars, quoting "Chikni Chameli would be a good enough reason to set up brisk sales for the album.".^[15] Sukanya Verma of Rediff gave the album 3 out of 5 stars and said that the film's music was "promising".^[16] "After a couple of false starts earlier this year, Ajay Atul have truly arrived in Bollywood with Agneepath", said Music Aloud which rated it 8.5/10.^[17]

Release

Agneepath released e on around 2650 screens worldwide.The film lost out in screens in West Bengal due to the release of a major Bengali film on the same day.^[18]

21.75 crore (US$4.34 million) on the opening day, breaking the record of the first-day collections of Bodyguard. The film also set new circuit records in Mumbai, CP Berar, Nizam, and Mysore.^[32] Agneepath grossed

62.11 crore (US$12.39 million) nett over its extended four-day weekend.^[33]
The film's collections held very well on Monday and it netted around

7.50 crore (US$1.5 million), taking its five-day total to

69.50 crore (US$13.87 million) nett.^[34] It further did well and grossed

6.50 crore (US$1.3 million) nett on Tuesday and another

5.00 crore (US$1 million) nett on Wednesday.^[35] In doing so, Agneepath brought its first-week total to

85.88 crore (US$17.13 million) nett.^[36] The film collected

23.12 crore (US$4.61 million) in its second week, thus taking its two-week total to

109 crore (US$21.75 million) nett.^[37] The film collected

7.59 crore (US$1.51 million) nett in its third week, taking its three-week nett collections to

116.59 crore (US$23.26 million).^[38] Agneepath collected

2.61 crore (US$520,695) in its fourth week, taking its four-week nett collections to

119.20 crore (US$23.78 million).^[39] It was declared a "Blockbuster" by Box Office India^[40]Agneepath Domestic Life time Collection is

125.06 crore (US$24.95 million) finishing Fourth In all time nett grosses in the history of Hindi film industry.^[41]

After a successful opening in the domestic market, Agneepath made

16.5 crore (US$3.29 million) in its four day weekend overseas.^[42] The film recorded the 12th largest opening overseas and was marginally behind the other Hrithik Roshan starrer, Dhoom 2.^[43]

No matter what the situation is but a real human being always manages to fulfill all his duties. And this is well proven by Jayshree Soni who is portraying the role of Niyati in Sahara one's daily Niyati.

The actress is nowadays facing lot of problems as she has to strike a balance between her professional and personal duties. As revealed by the sources Jaishree's father has recently gone through an open heart surgery in Jaipur and being a daughter it’s her duty to take care of her father and stand by him in this difficult time. But on the other side, her professional commitments are also to be taken care off.

Hence, the actress is said to be moving between the cities regularly i.e she shoots for some days in Mumbai and then again heads off to Jaipur. The CVs are facing lot of problems due to the absence of the lead and have to shoot many filler episodes.

When contacted Jayshree she shared," I do not have many people who can look after my father; hence I make it a point to stand by him, and I have been informed that the creatives will no longer use any filler hence I will have to be present during the shots and I will be. Currently I am in Jaipur looking after my father but I will get back to Mumbai soon”.

She further adds, “Yes, I have a personal problem but that does not mean that my professional life will take a backseat. I am working hard on balancing both and I am sure I will do it soon.”

Life OK's upcoming serial Aasman Se Aage has already earned much popularity with twin reasons, one being of it based on the pros and cons of reality shows and secondly, it’s a comeback show of the popular actor Apurva Agnihotri.

And now the buzz is that Aasman Se Aage will cast some more popular faces, like Amit Behl (currently seen in Colors’ Veer Shivaji and Shravani Goswami from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, who will be playing the role of Akshat's (Siddharth Karnik) parents. In this show Akshat will fall in love with a small town girl during a reality show.

When contacted Amit he confirmed the news and said, “I have just started shooting for the show and so far it has been a pleasure working with the team. My character is a positive one and I am enjoying it,”

Speaking about her role, Shravani said, “Yes, I am essaying a small role in the show as I am already occupied with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. But it’s been great working for Aasman Se Aage.”

Controversy

The Central Board of Film Certification had rejected a promo of the film^[1] that was scheduled to release in April 2012.^[2] The producers are now left with no option but to redesign it and apply to the censor committee all over again.
The promo of the film that shows everything through the lenses of a cameraman, has guests at a wedding asking the video camera guy top shoot them as well. Dialogues like 'meri bhi lo' (a shot, in this context) has irked the committee, urging them to reject the entire promo.
Supavitra Babul, the debutante director of the film said, "I have been a camera person too. I have got many friends who have been shooting weddings in Delhi. I am well versed with the way people talk. It's all very cute. The film is about a videographer and the way he looks at things. I am surprised that the promo has been rejected for something like this."
Kumar Mangat, the producer of the film informed, "The censor committee has completely rejected the song and the promo. It is an old folk song, which we have re-created for our film. But they said that they couldn't give us the certificate. We were ready to change it, beep it or even alter the words but it was a clear 'no' from their end. We were ready to accept cuts but nothing worked. Guess our film does not have big stars or big names to help us."

The movie album is composed by Raghav Sachar. It received positive reception. Musicperk.com rated it 7.5/10 quoting "Bittoo Boss is admirable album and offers more than one expene.

hunar ali wants new roles for acting skill show on

The way most of the TV actors wish, Hunar Hali too longs for versatility and wants to do different kind of roles. She is highly fond of actress Kajol and finds her as the best example of versatility.

She says, "As an actress, I always want to be versatile. I don't want to be stereotyped where people say that she can only fit into a certain role. That's the reason I like Kajol because she is a person who is truly versatile”.

It is notable that last seen in Star Plus’ Sasural Genda Phool, the 22-year-old has now bagged her first lead role with Colors' Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat. Talking on the lines she said, “I should always do something new and different, and that's a challenge for me. This show was challenging, that's why I took it up”.

Prior to this we have seen her playing supportive roles in shows like, Grahasti, 12/24 Karol Bagh. She says it's easy to get stereotyped on the small screen. Hunar added, "When you play a bhabhi or a mother, that's when you are typecast. Once a mother always a mother. I am a young girl, and I have so far played roles of young girls only...so I don't fear being typecast as of now”.

It’s a fact that in order to gain something you have to lose something. Life is all about compromises only. And this is true with TV actress Preeti Choudhary, who is currently seen as Ambi in Colors’ new show Kairi.

Preeti earlier also has been a part of many popular shows like Havan, Wo Rehane Wali Mehlo Ki, Hum Ladkiyaan and Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. But she is playing the lead for the first time with Kairi.

However, everything was not so easy for her, as to become an actress she had to lie to her parents. This is what Preeti has to say about the same, “I always wanted to be an actress. Some three years ago, while I was doing my B.com I told my parents that I have to visit Mumbai to attend a friend’s wedding. But my family is very conservative and they declined. My stubbornness won the battle in the end and I visited the city of dreams for 10 days. And all thanks to my school friends who stayed in the city, I gave some auditions and went back home to Ghaziabad (UP),”

On her second visit to the city she got selected for Hum Ladkiyaan and again she had to make an excuse from her parents, further to add she says," I told my parents that I have got a job in Mumbai; but they were reluctant. I, on the other hand, was sure of what I wanted to do so I came to Mumbai”.
