Giaa Manek and Hina Khan finally make it to Jhalak

Giaa Manek and Hina Khan finally make it to Jhalak!

Giaa Manek and Hina Khan finally make it to Jhalak
Just a couple of days back we had updated you all how the channel war was creating trouble for the actors like Giaa Manek and Hina Khan.

Two of Star Plus’ ideal bahus were roped in by the makers of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, which has switched to Colors from Sony. Apparently, Giaa and Hina are highly famous as Gopi from Saath Nibhana Saathiya and Akshara from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai respectively. Thus their inclusion in the list surely guaranteed attention and hype for the show.

But things became a little troublesome as Star Plus warned them to withdraw their names. In fact, the officials had even went on the verge of asking Rashmi Sharma (maker of Saathiya) to replace Giaa if she as so keen on taking JDJ. The actors too faced some traumatic moments as on 16 May 2012, the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Producers (AMPTP) and CINTAA officials met up following complaints by the two actors of their plight to CINTAA. However, succor came from elsewhere: top officials from Colors and Star met and decided to come to a truce. They agreed on exchanging actors for non-fiction shows.

And the latest info is that both Giaa and Hina Khan are indeed a part of JDJ and they will continue to be the leads in Saath Nibhana and Yeh Rishta respectively.

Just hope there won’t be any more issue!

Giaa Manek might see the exit door from Star Plus's Saath Nibhana Saathiya

Giaa Manek might see the exit door from Star Plus's Saath Nibhana Saathiya!
Giaa Manek might see the exit door from Star Plus's Saath Nibhana Saathiya
The queen of daily sagas Giaa Manek aka Gopi has already made a secured place in the hearts of every television viewer across the country and worldwide with her meticulous and superb performance through the very favorite show Saath Nibhana Saathiya aired on Star Plus.

However, nowadays Giaa is hogging limelight for not so good reasons. First it was her unpleasing behavior during the Hookha parlor controversy that got her into the bad books of all and now we hear that she has entered into a battle with the SNS’s production house too. If believe the buzz coming from town then Giaa might soon be shown the exit door in the show.

Reason? This all has to do with Giaa signing BBC Worldwide’s upcoming show on Colors, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa without the production house’s consent. As per a source, “Giaa went ahead and gave a nod to Jhalak, much to the production house’s discontentment. The channel even gave Giaa a warning that if she takes up any other show, she will have to bear the brunt,”

When contacted producer Rashmi Sharma, she said, “get in touch later”. On the other hand, Giaa aka Gopi said, “I have no idea about it. I have not been told anything officially. But yes, I don’t think there will be any issue on me taking up Jhalak.”

Let’s see if the makers bring in a new face or Giaa is allowed to take up both shows simultaneously!

IPL has lowered down the TRP of Saath Nibhana Saathiya

IPL has lowered down the TRP of Saath Nibhana Saathiya!
IPL has lowered down the TRP of Saath Nibhana Saathiya
Star Plus’s Saath Nibhana Saathiya so far was undoubtedly the baap of all the Saas- Bahu sagas. It had been topping the TRP charts ever since its start and had millions of admirers across the globe.

The coy character of Gopi Vahu (Giaa Manek) became the household name, and it was speculated that no show could ever manage to bring Saathiya down. However, as they say everyone has a successor and Saathiya is no exception. Today, Saathiya’s position is ruled by another of Star’s show, Diya Aur Baati Hum.

Though Saathiya has been trying hard to get back its lost place but the ongoing IPL 5 has made it all the more difficult for it. Producer Rashmi Sharma agrees to this and says, “It’s because of the ongoing IPL season. We were mentally prepared for the low numbers during this period,”

On being quizzed as to why other shows have got comparatively better numbers, Rashmi said, “See the time slot at which that our show is aired is a very crucial one. If you closely observe the IPL matches you will come to know it reaches the end over’s during 7 -7.30 pm which interests the viewers. So I really can’t blame the story or our show”.

Further when asked if Giaa’s involvement in the hookah parlor controversy has led to some negative publicity for the show, Rashmi retorted, “I don’t think so. Media exaggerated the entire incident and Giaa also behaved a little aggressively. But I think the real reason is IPL. We are working on the story and I am confident that the show will bounce back.”

Well, we hope Gopi bahu’s magic will soon manage to cast a spell all over again on the masses.
