Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate delivers

Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate delivers

Well, it had promised a lot. And Aamir Khan’s Satyamev Jayate on Star Plus delivered. The episode delved deep into the issue of female infanticide. By bringing in cases of women who had been battered and bruised by husbands and in-laws for bearing a girl child, he made us once again take note that an evil that had been brushed under the carpet is still existent and flourishing
Educated women from educated families were showcased as being duped victims of forced abortions by their educated husbands and in-laws. Aamir Khan cautioned that this is not a problem of villages but of cities and towns where the male child is more welcome than the female.
He also sought TV viewers help to force the Rajasthan government to fast track some cases against doctors who have been aborting female fetuses and encouraging female foeticide. Viewers can send an SMS to 5782711 typing SMS – a part of the SMS charges will be donated to an organization which will use it to battle female foeticide.
Aamir connected with a group of Haryanvi bachelor men through a 3G link who were not able to get married as there were not enough women left. One of the men from the 30 year plus bunch requested Aamir to get Bollywood king Salman Khan to lead their group.
He then went on to tell viewers that there is a solution to this alarming situation of the imbalance in the male female sex ration by citing the tale of an official in Nwanashahr who firmly cracked down on sex determination tests and abortions and ensured that the girl child to male child ratio became equal.
Aamir was subdued, pensive, shocked, and he even writhed in pain on camera when women and experts narrated the terrible experiences that they suffered because they chose to become mothers of a girl child, despite opposition from their families. He also lauded them for fighting for their girl children against all odds.
Satyamev Jayate brought a lump to viewers' throats, and one hardly was aware of the passage of time, thanks to the sharp editing and tight scripting. In all, a performance worthy of the man who we have come to know as Aamir Khan.
To be fair, news channels have attempted to tackle the issue, but when a public figure like Aamir Khan puts his weight behind a cause, one can only hope it gets penetrated deep into the nation’s consciousness. And that it works as a catalyst to bring about change.
The show is quite likely to generate record TRPs. It, along with Aamir Khan, DD, female foeticide, Swanand Kirkire are already trending on Twitter. And it is quite likely to generate new TV viewing patterns in India on Sunday morning which augurs well for viewers, broadcasters, and producers.

Aamir Khan ignores conversation about Shahrukh Khan

Aamir Khan ignores conversation about Shahrukh Khan!
Aamir Khan ignores conversation about Shahrukh Khan
Dost turning dushman is nothing new in Bollywood as it sets best example in this regard. One can remember that one upon a time the three big Khans of Bollywood, i.e. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan used to be great fans, but circumstances put them apart from each other.

And now Salman Khan doesn't leave an opportunity to take on Shah Rukh but Aamir Khan loves to ignore him. The actor, who is set to make his television debut, avoided talking about Shah Rukh at a recent press conference.

Aamir's first ever television reality show, Satyamev Jayate goes on air from May 6. The actor is certainly kicked about the show on which he has been working since the last two years. Aamir at a press conference praised all his colleagues who made it big on the small screen.

He said, "I loved Amitabhji's Kaun Banega Crorepati, Hrithik's dance show. I haven't seen Bigg Boss but Salman's Dus Ka Dum. I enjoyed watching these shows." Aamir smartly avoided any opinion on Shah Rukh Khan's TV histrionics, be it the third season of KBC or even Zor Ka Jhatka, or Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?

Well, here it seems clear that reunion is no sooner happening!

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign!

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign
Aamir Khan has earned the tag of perfectionist in Bollywood with his sheer hard work and dedication as this actor leaves no mark in making his work do the talking, whether it applies to his films or say his much-awaited debut Television show!

Considering the kind of benchmarks Aamir Khan has set as far his films are concerned, it seems he doesn't want to make any compromise for his debut television show as well.

The channel, on which his show Satyamev Jayate will be aired, had apparently blocked all the 2,000 slots for the broadcaster's promos in 27 hours -- totally valued at Rs 6.25 crore. It is learnt that while this is a one-day exercise, it's more than the money spent on any other celebrity-hosted show on any given day.

Although Aamir is known for the manner in which he markets his big screen projects, a source associated with the production said that the promo was his baby too.

Grapevine is abuzz, 2,000 promo slots from Monday to Tuesday, across all the broadcasters' channels, were booked for Aamir's show. The source said, "From these slots, if one were to translate the airtime into revenue, it's worth Rs 6.25 crore," adding that this is the highest ever for any star show.

We are eagerly waiting for the show, can’t resist anymore
