The popular dance show of Indian television Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 began with great pomp on 16th June on Colors channel. Being judged by Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar, JDJ 5 is celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema to honour the great icons of the Indian Film Industry this weekend.

This season is graced by celebs like Gurmeet Choudhary, Bharti Singh, Darsheel Safary and Giaa Manek as contestants. As said, the tribute to 100 years of cinema will see the celebs picking up Bollywood as the theme. You will get to see each one of them putting up a dancing act dedicated to some or the other iconic Bollywood venture.

Following the league, heartthrob of TV industry Gurmeet will be seen playing Devdas, of three generations in today’s episode. He will try to woo the audience and judges by playing the drunken hero with his choreographer Shampa.

The duo will perform together on the songs of Dilip Kumar’s Devdas, Shahrukh Khan’s Devdas and Abhay Deol’s Dev D. Sources further added that Gurmeet has chosen Chalak chalak and Emotional Atyachaar from Devdas and Dev D respectively but the sad part is that he has forgotten the original Devdas of the Indian Cinema K L Saigal.

Well, it’s like an icing on the cake that Karan Johar and Madhuri Dixit will recreate the magic of Raj Kapoor and Nargis in a special performance.

 Sushil Kumar, who made history by winning five crores in Kaun Banega Crorepati, will now be trying his luck with dance.

Yes! Sushil Kumar would be seen as surprise package with his dancing shoes on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 5. Buzz says that he would be the 13th contestant of the show. Judges Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D'Souza expressed that the 13th contestant would come as a surprise but would be a commoner who claimed the fame in a night.

"He is the 13th contestant on the show as a commoner. We wanted someone who is not a celebrity but has become popular by some or the other way. He won KBC and that reason was enough to have him on the show. He will be performing like other contestants,” a source revealed.

The other 12 contestants of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 5 as known already are Former Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya, Ghazal singer Talat Aziz, child actor Darsheel Safary, actress Isha Sharvani, Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan, comedian Bharti Singh, TV actors Giaa Manek, Pratyusha Banerjee, Gurmeet Choudhary and VJs Shibani Dandekar and Archana Vijaya.

JDJ 5 indeed opened with a grand performance from all the celebrity participants and now the eyes are laid on the entry of Sushil. Let’s see how he performs as a dancer now!

Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 5 has everything to be in news these days, be it celebrities, dance performances, judges or anything. The recent news about the show is that people are finding it unfair for Isha Shravani to be a participant in the show.

The show is a dance show on which celebrities from television, sports, cricket and everywhere else will come, but the presence of Isha Shravani, who already is a trained dancer, is giving restlessness to all. It is notable that this actress cum dancer has already performed in 22 countries. So isn’t it really unjust for the other participants on the show to have an already trained dancer among them?

When this question was put in front of Remo D’Souza he gave a very diplomatic answer. He said, “Yes, Isha has been dancing since she was a child, but her style of dancing is kalari or rope mallakhamb. Her body has been trained to do that. To break that down and make the body do Latin ballroom dances, well it will be as difficult for her as it is for Sanath Jayasuriya.”

We don’t see this reason to satisfy us. So when Isha was asked about it, she half yelled saying, “Who told you that? Tell me that first. Who told you that?”

Well, don’t know how the fans are going to react to it but we really feel that this is really unfair.

Zee TV’s highly appreciated dance reality show, Dance India Dance has always managed to bag the eyeballs from dance lovers around the globe.

As its last two seasons, the third season too witnessed some extremely talented dancers who set the dance floors burning with their breathtaking performance.  And after passing through several challenges set by the masters, it’s time for the participants to face the final battle.

No one can deny that Madhuri Dixit was the real charmer of Bollywood and even until now the industry has been unsuccessful in finding her match. And ace choreographer Remo D'Souza gladly accepts this fact and tells why he considers Madhuri Dixit to be the goddess of dancing.

India's hip-hop maestro and dance guru, Remo D'Souza has started shooting for his second and India's first ever dance film ABCD (Anybody can dance).

The film has been shot in 3D and will have Prabhu Deva, Ganesh Acharya, American dancer Lauren Gottlieb in the lead roles. Gottlieb has been a finalist of So You Think You Can Dance and has been featured in films like Disaster Movie, Bring It On: Fight To The Finish and Hannah Montana.

Recently while talking to the sources, Remo spoke of his film and revealed that he is trying to rope in Madhuri Dixit for his next, which will be a musical saga. "Unfortunately, Madhuri Dixit is not in ABCD. But, I am trying to get her for my next film which is a musical saga which will be in 3D," said Remo.

Talking about Madhuri, he says, “Madhuri is the goddess of dancing. She or Sridevi cannot be compared to the current crop of actresses. Madhuri cannot be compared to Kareena, Priyanka or Katrina. People feel jealous of me as I get to sit beside her on Jhalak!"
