Finally all the speculation regarding Anushka Sharma’s role in the Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer romantic saga with Yash Chopra is clear.

Earlier the rumours were making rounds that the film, which is marking the comeback of Yash Chopra in direction after Veer Zara, features a love triangle. It was said that SRK will have two leading ladies in the film in the form of Katrina and Anushka.

But now the air is clear as Anushka is not one of the leading ladies in the film but she is just playing a small but important role in Yash Chopra’s untitled film. The actress has a cameo in the film which is modeled like the one Rani Mukherjee played in Veer-Zaara.

As per reports, Anushka plays a very quite attentive character in the film. She makes an entry only in the second half. She plays SRK's sounding board, the girl he confides in about his heartbreak. For this role, the actress had to be a good listener and that's a tough one for her because she likes to talk. Now, it’s time to see if Anushka can keep quiet and do her role convincingly!

It is the first time that Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and gorgeous actress Katrina Kaif working together for a film and it seems that the former has casted his spell on the latter in first instance itself.

After working with SRK only for a month, Kat is already a fan of him and calls him thorough gentleman. While talking to the sources recently she accepted to be highly admired with his sheer energy, hard work and passion that Shahrukh Khan puts into his work.

The actress also said that she is very happy about the fact that her first film with Shahrukh Khan is directed by Yash Chopra, because Shahrukh Khan and Yash Chopra have done some great films together. Katrina further praised Shahrukh Khan by saying that he is a real gentleman and it's a delight to work with him.

Katrina Kaif also spoke about her dream to work with veteran director Yash Chopra. She said that Yash Chopra is the king of romance and working with him is like a dream come true. Katrina is also working with your ex-boyfriend Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger and with Shahrukh Khan in Yash Chopra's film.

It really makes us wonder, how do you manage to keep both the Khans - Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan happy at the same time??

The coming together of Katina Kaif and king of romance Shahrukh Khan has indeed set the tongues wagging out in anticipation as to how this impossible was made possible.   

Apparently, SRK and Salman Khan’s animosity is known to one and all in the town and thus being a closed aid of Sallu, Kat was never expected to share screen space with the former. And out of the blue came this romantic film, which even marks veteran Yash Chopra’s return in direction after a long hiatus. Needless to mention that questions over Kat’s presence in the romantic saga has indeed made a presence everywhere.

If go by the recent buzz then some claim that she got this meaty role as SRK recommended her. Being YRF’s blue eyed boy, how could anyone turn down SRK’s wish? Sources even say that Kat had sent feelers from her ends calling for a truce between her and the Khan. Notably, the two never crossed paths ever since SRK and Salman took over a spat during Kat’s B’day bash.

News about Shahrukh and Katrina’s friendship had been the talk of late, and immediately after the patch up one heard of the two signed up for the YRF venture. But Katrina denies of all such rumors, she says that SRK never suggested her name for the film. In fact, Kat even stated that her relation with YRF is not because of Shahrukh. She has known them right from the New York days and she doesn’t need any recommendation for getting into the YRF camp.

Yash Chopra is a big name and he very well knows what he does. He is a visionary person and well-versed with requirements of film industry. He, through his production house Yash Raj Films plan to hone the skills of newcomers and take them through various workshops before launching them in the films produced by the house.

In the past, they have successfully launched newcomers like Anushka Sharma (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi), Ranveer Singh (Band Baaja Baaraat), and Parineeti Chopra (Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl). And now they are set to launch Boney Kapoor’s son with former wife Lt. Mona Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor in Ishaqzaade, where he is paired opposite Parineeti.

Going forward, YRF will be launching a newcomer every two years. "The idea is to hone the skills of an actor, take them through various workshops, have an entire support system for an actor to breathe and live films", says a source associated with the production house. "YRF houses the best talent of the industry from technicians to directors to writers. And for a budding newcomer it will also work as a learning ground and school”, added the source.
