 Now days’ reports of some or the other daily soap going off-air keeps hogging the limelight. But we have come up with good news that definitely demands celebration.

Here is some news that comes in as a breath of fresh air. Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum will reach the mark of 200 episodes tonight.  The show that went on-air in August 2011 has been ruling the charts soon after the show completed its 100 episodes.

We all know that the lead pair of the show, Sooraj (Anas Rashid)-Sandhya (Deepika Singh) chemistry is loved by one and all and the viewers have been glued to their TV screens. The show has been constantly enjoying the number one position for the last few weeks now. To celebrate the achievement, the cast and the crew of the show will cut a cake on the sets tonight.

When sources contacted Anas Rashid, he sounded elated and said, "I am happy that we have managed to reach the milestone of 200 episodes being the no.1 show and I just hope that we continue to do so when we complete 1000 episodes. I think this is just a beginning."

And to gain more viewers’ attention, the makers Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions have now decided to infuse an interesting twist in the upcoming episodes. As reported earlier too, coming episodes we will get to see Suraj aka Anas Rashid and Sandhya aka Deepika Singh confessing their love for each other. However, the turning point will come when Sandhya come back with Suraj to his place.

Their emotional confrontation will help the couple in knowing the love they have for each other but the real drama will take place once Suraj gets her back to his place. When sources contacted the lead Anas Rashid, he affirmed about the development and said, “Yes, it is true that viewers can expect a major revelation when Suraj takes Sandhya out of the house. However, it is for the audience to see what it is.”

It will be like a pleasant surprise for the audience when they would witness that Sooraj and Sandhya will finally confess their love for each other.

We have seen in the earlier episodes that Sooraj blames Sandhya for ruining Chavvi’s life as she was the reason that her sister’s wedding gets postponed. They will be another high point of drama when Sandhya will agree to leave the house. Further in another interesting twist the love birds will be brought together as an emotional Sooraj decides to drop Sandhya to the bus stop after which he leaves.

It is quite surprising, but in spite of being from celeb world, the Delhi born girl recently is not very social and does not mingle with most of her male co-stars from the industry. “I just meet them during shoots or events where we only exchange pleasantries. I am not very active on the social networking scene as well.”
