With every passing week, the competition is getting tougher on the popular reality dancing show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 which is being judged by three ace personalities of tinsel town, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar and Remo D Souza.

The latest news doing rounds is that one of the contestants Pratyusha Banerjee (Anandi of Balika Vadhu) has stepped out of the show due to her ill health. People were wondering that how she would continue performing in the reality dance show with her illness.

Finally, she has been announced as the next contestant to get eliminated from the show. If believe the industry sources then her ill health is not only responsible indeed her performance has also paid an equally important role behind her elimination. Pratyusha was not getting good numbers from judges. Even last week her performance was not up to the mark consequently the tele star fell short on votes.

It is notable that Isha Shravani and Karanvir Bohra performed despite having viral fever but Pratyusha failed to perform as reportedly she had stomach infection. Now, speculations are on the rife that Avika Gor (young Anandi) might replace her on the show.

As seen in the earlier episodes, Anandi (Pratyusha Banerjee) has finally got divorce from Jagya (Shashank Vyas) which has left her heart broken. In the coming sequences, Shiv (Siddharth Shukla) and the entire family will try to cheer her up. Shiv will also help Anandi connect with Sumitra (Smita Bansal), who is in US, on Skype. Anandi will feel better but will not manage to entirely wipe out the pang of separation.

Now, from here on will mark the entry of Bhairavi aka Bhagwati. She will come to meet her daughter and pacify her. Source also informed that he went on to talk to the creatives and told them that he is not happy with the way his track was shaping up. Hence, he chose to move on.

When got in touch with Puru, his notions were clear about his planning, he said, “I don’t want to say anything. I just want to say that my track is currently not on in Pavitra Rishta.”  It’s understood Puru, in these matters, it’s difficult to come on record.

Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is coming with a Rashi special episode this week. Last week the stage was arrested by the international dance forms and the participants showcased the theme in a mind-blowing way, which was completely a delight for the fans.

Buzz has it that Pratyusha Banerjee, who is consistently getting average marks from the judges, is hell-bent on winning the hearts with this times performance on the theme of Rashi. She will be seen performing on Dhanu rashi (Sagittarius) and depict the story of Eklavya and Dronacharya, a mythological tale from the ancient time.

She said, “As a child, Eklavya and Dronacharya’s story used to be an all time favorite with me, a brought up listening the mythological tales from teachers and my elders, I am lucky to have a chance to perform on one of them”

Since it is a mythological act, Pratyusha, also seen in Balika Vadhu and her partner, Deepak poured over history and philosophy books to make sure that they have the right version of the story and “it was like going back to school”, she quipped.

Dancing to the title track of Omkara, this duo will be seen giving an action packed performance armed with their bow and arrows, ready to shoot them straight into the hearts of their fans and hoping they walk away with the perfect 30.

After touching a milestone of 1000 episodes the makers of Balika Vadhu, Sphere Origins is again set to hit the small screen with its new venture on Sony Entertainment Television which has been tentatively titled as Humsafar.

According to a source, it will be a story of two girls who will be friends and later on they will get married into the same house. One will have an arranged marriage, while the other one will have a love marriage. The story will revolve around the lives of the girls as how they will be treated in the family.

Now the buzz going around is that Himmanshoo A Malhotra who was last seen playing the role of Guddu in Zee TV’s Bhagonwali - Baante Apni Taqdeer and young actor Shaheer Sheikh who is playing the role of Anant in Nayva will be seen playing the role of the main leads. We also hear that one of the female lead will be a new comer.

After a huge fight sequence and tensed moments in Colors’ highly popular show Balika Vadhu, now it is stepping towards some celebration and joyous moments to deliver to their fans.

However, in the coming episode, a surprise birthday party will be organized by Dadisa, who is willing to see Aandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee getting married to Shiv (Siddharth Shukla), Collector Saab in the show. To impress Shiv, Dadisa has planned out a surprise party on his birthday, where Basant (Satyajit Sharma) will call Shiv home on a false pretext and when Shiv will come, a surprise birthday party will await him. There will be fun and dance in the episode, with Shiv playing the drums and Anandi dancing to the music.

Meanwhile, Anandi has also started feeling for Shiv but is not believing over the strange feeling happening to her. On the other side Shiv has developed a soft corner for her and feels special when she is around, he will get impressed by the surprise and get close to the entire family.

Well, the closeness between the two seems to be paving way for a new love story in the show. Now, audiences are keen to see them together and want Anandi to restart her life in a family mode.

Just a day back we informed you that Shaheer Sheikh has been signed to play an important role in Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming show, Humsafar which has been produced by the makers of Balika Vadhu’ Sphere Origins. We also reported that he will share screen space with Himmanshoo Malhotra.

But this young lad, who has become a domestic name now, thanks to his spirited performance as Anant in Star Plus’ Navya, the Swastik Pictures productions which is going off air on 29 June 2012, announced that he is not doing any new show and tweeted,  “I am not doing Humsafar. It was offered to me but couldn’t do it as I have to go home for a month at least.”This piece of news is surely bad information for all the Shaheer fans.

Now we have dug deep and found other technical reasons of him shying away from Humsafar. Apparently, he is under a contract with Swastik as per which he is still in the period where his dates are blocked with the production house.

Furthermore it is also learned that Star Plus has had a meeting with Shaheer wherein they showed interest in retaining him in the channel by giving him some other show as part of the channel’s policy to retain its actors.

Well, looks Shaheer is still not at the losing front!

Not drawing too much suspense let us tell you that Pratyusha got emotional during one of her dance acts in JDJ. As informed, this week’s episodes will see the contestants paying a tribute to the legends of cinema in order to commemorate the completion of 100 years of Indian cinema.

Wherein Pratyusha will see trembling her legs on the Bollywood’s oldie goldie song Aaja Aaja from the movie Teesri Manzil. But unfortunately while performing she forgot and missed a few steps. And this soft-hearted Bengali beauty could not hold on to her tears when the judges analyzed her performance.

This is also learned that majority of the contestants managed to perform their acts really well but Pratyusha could not match her feet to the beat and rhythm.

Talking about the other contestant, Gurmeet Choudhary will be seen performing on Chalak Chalak from Devdas and Talat Aziz will shake his legs on Khaike Paan Banaraswala and Ye Mera Dil from Don.

Colors’ social drama Balika Vadhu is again going focusing on the track of child marriage in the coming episodes. Wherein Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee and Shiv aka Siddharth Shukla will come close to each other while rescuing the issue. 

Presently viewers are watching that Anandi is worried about Jyoti’s studies as she has been absent from school. In the coming episodes, she will get to know that Jyoti is being subjected to child marriage. Anandi will try to stop this when Jyoti’s parents take her to a nearby village to get her married. Anandi will follow them and reach the village to stop the marriage.

However, Anandi will not be able to force them to change their decision as she cannot dictate terms because she is not the Sarpanch of that particular village. Instead, she will be treated badly and bullied too. Anandi along with Bhairon (Anoop Soni) and Kalyani (Surekha Sikri), who accompany Anandi, will be held captive. And this is when Shiv reaches the village and gets into a major fight and rescues them. We have also heard that with this sequence, both Shiv and Anandi will develop feelings for each other.

However, latest dope on the show is Dadisa’s (Surekha Sikri) worries will come to an end with Ashima (Reema) making an exit from Jaitsar. But before leaving, she will make Shiv realize his love for Anandi.

This exciting thing will unfold in the coming episodes when viewers see Ashima packing her bags and moving out of Jaitsar house. Actually, Ashima has always been in love with Shiv and the latter never reciprocated identical feelings.

"I think all Bahus (daughters-in-law) should turn glamorous somewhere down the line so that she can prove that she's not only Biwi No.1, she can be the girl number one as well," Pratyusha says.

Are the viewers will accept her in such looks and dresses, upon this she said "I think our viewers will love it. If they love me as Anandi, they will love me as Pratyusha as well. And if talking about his personal life, Vikrant has recently went from being in relationship to single on his FB status, on being asked about the same this dandy lad has something interesting to express, ha said “One of my fans sent me a link and since I am not that tech savvy I clicked it without thinking much. Soon after which my relationship status changed from ‘single’ to ‘in a relationship’. However, when I noticed it I changed it again to single. But by then a lot of people had already noticed it.”

But we are glad to know that Vikrant is seriously in a relationship, when he said “I am very much in a relationship. And I’ve been in a relationship with my girl for almost seven years and we are very happy together. However, I do not like talking about it much as it’s very personal.”

So does he plan to take his relationship to the next level upon this he said “Yes, I am planning to get engaged to her sometime soon. And I do spend quality time with her whenever possible.”

His relation with Gauri aka Anjum Farooki for whom he cheated upon Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee is soon to hit the rocks. The couple has been going through a rough patch and Jagya's unemployment is becoming a cause of worry. It is notable that all this while Pratyusha has been head over heels in love and was very positive about her relation with Makrand. There was a time when she quoted saying, “The relationship is still at a very early stage. Yes, we like each other and we are hopeful that everything will be fine in the future. Being in love is a different feeling altogether.”

However, all this seems to be a tale of past now. Things have now turned sour between the couple and the latest bit of information we have received is that Pratyusha and Makrand have split. “Yes, we have split recently. The latest dope from the telly town is the entry of Ashima playing the character of Reena, who happens to be Shiv’s (Siddharth Shukla) friend from London. She has come down to meet him after attending a wedding in Rajasthan. In last episode it was shown that she is very close to Shiv and even went for dinner on Dadisa’s call at their house, where she was welcomed by Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee.

But Dadisa was in complete shock as she had no idea about this female friend of Shiv. Now, in the upcoming episodes, Ashima will be staying at Anandi’s house and Anandi will be cooking delicacies for her. They both will get along really well. Colors’ dancing reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, is yet to go air but here we are coming across many names set to board the dancing flight.

Promos of the show featuring Madhuri Dixit have already got thumbs up from all and now we are even getting to see few of the participants flaunting off their dancing skills. Recently, we saw Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya, Balika Vadhu fame Anandi aka Pratyusha Banerjee and the favorite of masses Gopi bahu aka Giaa Manek from Saath Nibhana Saathiya, dancing in the promotional videos.

Though there are a few more to come on the tube but before we get to know about them, here we have a new name which got added to the list. Buzz has it that Jayati Bhatia, who is currently essaying the role of Mataji in Colors’ popular show Sasural Simar Kaa, is the latest one to join the list.

This will be the first time that Anandi's fans will get to see their favorite bahu in a glamorous avatar. Viewers will soon come to watch the promos of the show featuring all the participants.

As last reported the, names which have been finalized to shake a leg on Jhalak’s stage are of Meghna Malik, Avika Gor, Giaa Manek, Hina Khan, Bharti Singh, Manish Paul and Harsha Bhogle.
