Finally the search of the title ended upon Adhoori Kahaani, the upcoming fiction show on Sony Entertainment Television.

Sri Adhikari Brother’s creation show will feature Raqesh Vashisht, who has last seen in Star Plus’ popular show Maryada and Aamna Shariff, who made her acting debut in Balaji Teleflim’s production Kahin To Hoga, essaying the lead roles in this new tale.

On the other hand, renowned actress Deepshikha Nagpal has been approached to play the female lead’s mother. Now talking about concept and title of the show, the show titled Adhoori Kahaani, will be the love story of a middle class man and a rich girl, and will trace their life from the point of falling in love to getting married and eventually parting ways, and will go on to show how their love gets them together yet again.

Aamir Ali was supposed to play the other lead in the show but this is not confirmed yet. The show is expected to go on floors soon and will be one of the next few fiction launches on the channel.

In the past few days we have came up with lots of updates on Balaji Telefilms’ joint venture with writer Saba Mumtaz’s Red Blue White Films, titled Tere Ishq Nachaye for Zee TV. Earlier it was reported that Nishant Malkani, who was almost finalized to play the lead role, is no longer a part of the show.

Now it is learnt that a new face from Kolkata has been finalized to play the male lead. The story will revolve around this guy (much younger in age) and the manner in which he falls for a girl who is older than him.

The inside news is that popular faces Aamna Shariff (Kahiin Toh Hoga fame) and Prabhleen Sandhu (who was seen in Zee TV’s Aap Ki Antara) are the main contenders to playing the female lead’s role. The channel is expected to take a call between them soon.

When contacted, Prabhleen Sandhu told the sources, “Yes it is true that I have been offered the lead role in Balaji Telefilms’ show. But nothing is finalized as of now, and there is nothing to speak about.” On the other side, Aamna chose not to respond. When contacted, Sukesh Motwani, Head of Fiction, Zee TV said, “I do not want to comment.”

Let’s see which pretty face (Aamna or Prabhleen) bags the meaty role here!

Sony Entertainment Television is planning the launch of some new fiction shows in the coming months, of which Hats Off Productions’ Byah Hamari Bahu Ka will be the first one to be launched.

Now, Shri Adhikari Brothers is also coming up with a love story on the same channel. As we had last updated, the news about Raqesh Vashisth of Maryada fame and Aamna Shariff seen in Kahin Toh Hoga Wo has been approached to play the leads. The next person to apparently join the cast is Deepshikha Nagpal.

35 –year- old actress Deepshikha is best known for Punjabi movies. She has been away from television for quite a long time now and is supposed to make her comeback to the small screen with this show. In all probability, she will play the female lead’s (Aamna Shariff) mother.

When contacted, Deepshikha said to the source, “Yes, I have been approached for the show. But nothing is finalized as of now, so I cannot speak about it.”

Hope, your comeback is brighter and enough to get the audience to watch the show.

Sony Entertainment Channel is all geared up to launch new shows so as to give the fellow channels a tough competition. We have already been seeing the promos of Byah Hamari Bahu Ka and now buzz has it that Sony is ready with a love tale too.

If all goes well then this love story will see two of television’s most adored faces, Raqesh Vashisth last seen in Star Plus’ Maryada and the very beautiful, Kahiin Toh Hoga fame  Aamna Shairff playing the leads.

As per sources this show is to be helmed by Shri Adhikari Brothers and the casting is in the pipeline. The show is said to have a Mumbai backdrop and will be a unique love story. The channel and production house are very keen on casting Raqesh and Aamna. Currently, the pilot is being shot with the actors. However, the decision on them being cast as the leads will apparently be taken in the next few days.

Aamna Shariff was earlier roped in to play the lead in Pearl Grey’s next on Star Plus, Pyaar Ki Naukri. However, we learn that the consistent delay in that project has forced Aamna to look for new opportunities.

Sources tried hard to get the confirmation from them but looks like things are not going to be revealed out so easily. 

Anyway, let’s just hope Aamna and Raqesh crack the deal!
