Other than world’s most beautiful woman in the world, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it is Mallika Sherawat, who is quite regular at Cannes from Bollywood.

And no one must be surprised to know that this is the fourth time the actress has been invited to the prestigious film festival. When asked is there any novelty left after visiting the French Riveria's cinema capital for so many years? "Each time is different! I can't tell you how excited I am to attend Cannes. It's special this time around," she says.

Mallika has been invited by AmfAR - The American Foundation for AIDS Research - a NGO dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment, education and advocacy. "It means a lot to me because my best friend has been living with HIV for the last 20 years. I've been following the work that AmfAR is doing and it's really commendable. It will be great to attend the event and learn about new discoveries in the battle against this condition," says Mallika.

However, it's not all work but also fun for Sherawat at the festival. "It's a great chance to meet filmmakers from all around the world. Also, this year there's so much Indian representation, with films like Peddler and Miss Lovely that will be screened. I am looking forward to watching some great movies."

In a country like ours where everyone equates martial arts either to Bruce Lee or more locally, Akshay Kumar, Raj Kundra and Sanjay Dutt have conceptualized the country's first fighting league for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), called the Super Fight League (SFL).

And they are hopeful to make it as big as cricket. MMA is a full-contact, intensive combat sport; the fastest growing in the world and a multi-billion dollar industry. Sources say that post conducting stunning matches in Mumbai and Chandigarh; they are now working to guarantee that the third match in Delhi on May 6 too is brilliant.

Raj Kundra said, "Mumbai of course is home, where our people are, so we held the first match there. We planned the second for Chandigarh because it's the land of warriors, and then we thought of Delhi, which has a more refined audience." And the big buzz states that they have roped in the sexy damsel of town Mallika Sherawat to kick start the evening. Mallika, along with Zarine Khan and Anushka Manchanda, will be hotting up things at the Indira Gandhi stadium.

To this Kundra added, "Mallika is Sanju's friend, and she's also very popular in the Delhi-Haryana belt and with Zarine and Anushka, we hope she'll add the required amount of glamour."

Well, we hope that both Sanjay and Raj Kundra’s efforts bring out desired results!

Of late reports are making rounds that Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is all set to make her singing debut, and this has really come as a surprise for many of her fans, who didn’t know that singing is probably the actress’ hidden talent.

The hottie will unleash her singing talent in an upcoming film alongside Sonu Sood, thanks to composer Santokh Singh Dhaliwal. "Not many know that she has a good voice," says Dhaliwal. "I've worked with her in Kismat Love Paisa Dilli and she has a good understanding of music. She loves the Haryanvi flavour of the tracks in my next, Lucky Unlucky."

Mallika admits, "The only thing I'm worried about is people being unable to tolerate my Haryanvi accent! I am not the singing type...I don't even sing in my shower! But I love music so I'm doing this. I will only sing for my own films and look forward to recording the song in the studio."

Meanwhile in the past too, few actresses have gone this way, which includes Sridevi, who lent her voice for the title track in Chandni (1989) and Priyanka Chopra tried her singing skills in Right Here Right Now song from Bluffmaster!

Big buzz is that Mallika Sherawat’s item song has been dropped from her upcoming movie Tezz. The news is quite surprising since her item number has already become quite a rage in the town. As per the industry sources, filmmaker Priyadarshan being not satisfied with the final performance, has decided to chop out Laila from his movie. But the twist in the story is that flick’s producer Ratan Jain wants this song in his movie, now it has to be decided will the Bollywood bombshell add spice to the movie with her item song or not!

Rumors have been doing rounds that initially Sameera Reddy was approached for the item number but she refused and then reports of casting of Jia Khan made quite a stir. Finally sex bomb of the tinsel town, Mallika Sherawat was roped in as Laila and now the speculations are going on that her item song has been chopped out from the flick. Well, if it is a publicity stunt then it can work out well for the film!

Tezz stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles and is all set to hit theatres on April 27th.
