Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV

Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV!

Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV
The world of entertainment is ruled by competition and in order to prove your worth, you have to beat the other one in the race.

And when it comes to television then this desire of being the best exists among all. With loads of TV shows running on different channels, it has really become difficult for us as viewers to make the right choice. More importantly, it has become tougher for the makers to beat the heat and sustain for long.

On one hand where shows hardly get to breathe for a year, we have Balaji Telefilms’ long running and still a successful one to be precise, Pavitra Rishta, which has completed its three years of existence today i.e. June 1, 2012. This apparently has called for a huge celebration for the whole of Pavitra Rishta team. The show based on the lives of two simpletons, Manav (inclusive of both Hiten Tejwani as present one and Sushant Singh Rajput as the older one) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) has been ruling the roost since its start.

Even the leap introduced of late was also welcomed openly and the young lot too is doing a great job. Usha Nadkarni who essays the role of Savita Taai shared her happiness saying, “Yes, Pavitra Rishta is my baby, and it feels nice to see that the show has completed 3 years. I still remember the day when I entered the show. It has been fun playing the character of Savita.”

Congratulations to the whole team and we just hope they keep bagging love of their fans this way!

I am not into material pursuits, claims Ankita Lokhande
Ankita Lokhande has won many hearts as Archana in the show Pavitra Rishta and she is still doing so. The long-running show is still at its peak and high on TRPs and one just love to watch Ankita in her on-screen role.

Even though Ankita feels she is content with what she has achieved in her life so far, the fire in the belly becomes obvious as the actress talks about her penchant to stay focused on her career dreams.

Hailing from a middle class family in Indore, Ankita decided to take the uncharted territory and make it big in the world of glam. Talking about her show, she tells, "I feel overjoyed by the fact that people love me so much. Both Manav and Archana are strong characters and now when their children are taking a lead in the storyline, I expect the same to click with the fans too," says Ankita.

The girl is also known for her relationship with actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her former co-star in the show. A very satisfied Ankita says, "I am not into material pursuits. I am content with whatever is happening in my life - the kind of lifestyle I am leading and the way my career is shaping up. I've got a wonderful boyfriend. So I do not have any other thing to long for."

Well, that is really good way of living!

Manav and DK will announce Arjun-Ovi's engagement in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta!

Manav and DK will announce Arjun-Ovi's engagement in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta
While on one hand we saw Purvi (Asha Negi) confessing her love to Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani), the latest update talks of a major twist set to happen in the lives of the two love birds.

Buzz states that Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta produced by Ekta Kapoors’s Balaji Telefilms is all set to witness a high pitched drama. As seen, Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and DK (Naved Aslam) have arranged for a surprise party for Arjun, who is unbeknownst of Ovi’s (Shruti Kanwar) return to India.

Sources say that coming episodes will see Manav and DK announcing the engagement of Arjun and Ovi at the party. This will come as a shocker for both Arjun and Purvi, who have confessed love for each other. On the other hand, it will be an emotional moment for Archana (Ankita Lokhande) as she will get to see her daughter Ovi after 18 long years.

Hiten Tejwani confirmed the news and stated, “Yes, Manav and his boss will organize a party in which they will go on to announce Arjun-Ovi’s engagement. The fathers are unaware of Purvi-Arjun being in love. It is now to be seen how the story unfolds”.

It would be interesting to see how things will shape up now. Will Arjun tell everyone about his love for Purvi? Will Archana stand by Purvi after learning the truth? Stay tuned to find out all these answers!

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story!

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story
Had everything fallen at the right place then Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story might have proved the launch pad for TV heartthrob Sushant Singh Rajput aka the once upon a time Manav of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta.

Buzz states that while Sushant was a part of the daily he was offered the lead role in Hate Story, however, things couldn’t materialize and the actor opted out of it. As per a source, “Sushant was approached to play main lead for the movie Hate Story. Ankita Lokhande aka Archana was heard telling on the sets that Sushant was offered the movie but Ekta Kapoor requested Sushant to stay back and continue with his role as Manav, till the time she managed to find replacement for him. Ankita laughed and thanked god that Sushant didn't take up the role."

When Sushant was approached by the sources he refused to make any sort of comment on the same. Meanwhile, it is notable that Sushant had decided to back out of Pavitra Rishta as he was willing to try his luck in Bollywood and also aimed at dabbling at direction.

Recently, we had even heard Sushant being offered a role in Rock On fame director Abhishek Kapoor’s next based on Chetan Bhagat’s 3 Mistakes of My Life.

Let’s see which film actually sees the actor making his foray into films!

Ankita Lokhande enters into a tiff with the director of YMGGK

Ankita Lokhande enters into a tiff with the director of YMGGK

If someone says that an actor had a fight on the sets, and later if everyone denies of such a happening, that doesn’t really mean that a tiff never really happened. So what are we trying to exactly imply? Well, just relax, grab a bucket of popcorn and read. Telly wrote the news about the drama-injected crossover episode between Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta and Rajshri Productions’ Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (YMGGK). Both the shows air on Zee TV. The episode was indeed well scripted, but here’s some spicy “off screen” news.
We have learned that Ankita Lokhande aka Archana of Pavitra Rishta, entered into a tiff with the director of YMGGK, Amit Gupta. A source informed that the actor and the director had creative differences, which led to an argument and the director resorted to shouting at Ankita. Ankita too was left fuming and even threatened to quit shooting and leave the sets. But later she was calmed down by some production people from Balaji Telefilms.
Telly got in touch with Ankita, and asked her about the incident. This is what she had to say, “I was working with Rajshri Productions, not Balaji, and they have a different style of functioning. So when you visit a new set, it takes time to adjust. I was not really convinced as an actor with the way the director told me to enact the scenes. So it was not really an argument but just a misunderstanding. These things happen in the industry.”
Well, Ankita, we know it’s not your fault but the ever-rising temperatures in Mumbai. Time to have some nimboo paani, we guess (wink, wink)
