Each and every person contributing his or her acting skills in television has a desire to portray lead character on the show someday, or you can say this is a human nature to play in front foot.

Young actor Dishank Arora is also one of the actors, waiting to get a chance to play leading roles. But unfortunately for him, he has been offered roles where he plays the younger sibling of the male lead.

One can notice him playing younger brother of Yash (Gurmeet Choudhary) in Punar Vivah; the actor has again been featured to play, in the same production house’s show on Life OK Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, younger brother to Arjun (Sudeep Sahir).

“Yes, I play the role of Pratik in Shashi-Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd’s Punar Vivah on Zee TV where I am the younger brother of Yash, and again, on Life OK Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, I play younger brother to Arjun. I would love to do a lead role, but guess I look quite young when it comes to my look.” avers the actor.

But it doesn’t mean the actor was never approached to play lead, Dishank informed, “Actually I had been offered lead roles in recently concluded shows such as Tum Dena Saath Mera on Life OK and Dekha Ek Khwaab on Sony. Somehow, things did not work out then.”

One can truly not forget Sana Khan’s short but quite impressive stint on Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, where the highly polished Lavanya Kashyap played a key role in getting her Chamkili aka Khushi (Sanaya Irani) and ASR aka Arnav (Barun Sobti) closer.

She might not be a part of the daily anymore but soon we will get to see her back on the tube. As reported Four Lions’ has now come up with a biweekly show Arjun set to premiere its first episode this weekend on Star Plus. Sana in the show will play a cop alongside Arjun played by Shaleen Malhotra!

Talking of the same, she says, “Fans always ask me to come back in Iss Pyaar… which according to me, is not possible. In fact I would say, Lavanya is back but not in Iss Pyaar Ko… she is back with Arjun as Ria. So accordingly, this is a return of Lavanya in the form of Ria.”

She further talked of her role, “I will essay Ria, a cop, a researcher, who is exactly contrasting to what I am in real life. I was surprised when I was offered this role at the first place. My producers said that I have to play a cop and do stunts to which I was shocked instead of being happy. But till now, I haven’t used any duplicate and have done all the stunts on my own”.

Earlier it was only a buzz but the couple was facing some troubled time in their relation but if go by the latest statement given by Kritika then these two have surely parted ways. It is notable that the couple was very much famous through Imagine TV’s youth show Kitni Mohobat Hai and became trend setter with their outstanding chemistry both on and off screen.

Talking of her relationship with Karan, Kritika said, “I am not dating Karan anymore. But that does not mean that we are not friends. We still hang out together and meet at parties.”  

She added, “We still inform each other if something new is happening in our lives. Frankly speaking, there is no animosity and we have handled things in a mature way. We have spent so much time together, that we will always be there for each other.”

Talking of the reason behind the break up, she immediately said, “There was nothing big that happened. We did not have a fight, and honestly speaking I am tired of explaining. Whatever happened was between us and I don’t think it is anybody else’s business to talk about it”.

Nisha Rawal, who plays the role of a woman who tries to buy her ex-flame back in Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, is adamant on accepting that her character in the show is negative.

In fact, she says that her entry has brought in a major twist to the show. The actress has joined the Life OK show as Soumya, who offers to buy her former boyfriend, Arjun (Sudeep Sahir) from his wife Lakshmi (Shraddha Arya).

In the show, Arjun and his family have lost all their family wealth and Soumya offers to help them in this way. Nisha Rawal admits her role is unusual for the small screen, but not negative."I signed the show because I was told that I will be entering as the new lead in the show. But Indian audience is not used to these kinds of emotions and feelings. It's not a negative character at all," said Nisha.

"There are no evil expressions or planning and plotting. This role is a prominent role and has equal importance and I am happy with it," she added.

Justifying her character, she said: "Soumya loves Arjun and cannot see him in these circumstances. She likes Lakshmi too but at the same time, if she gives away everything she has to Arjun, she will have nothing left. This is why she offers a barter deal. Soumya is not trying to buy Arjun, she is not evil at all."

So far on one had doubt over the fact that TV hunk Karan Kundra, popularly known as Arjun of Kitni Mohabbat Hai, is highly popular among the ladies.

However, a recent incident proved it that this actor has his enthusiasts in kids too. Surprised? Well, we were too shocked a tad. Now what made us come across this fact was the incident which took place while Karan was shooting in a chawl in Vashi for an episode of his show on Channel V, Gumraah… End of Innocence.

Surprisingly, he was mobbed by a gang of kids. Sources say that when the shoot got over and Karan was getting into his car, few of the kids surrounded him. When he tried to drive the car without hurting the kids, he actually ended up banging one side of the car against the wall.

When sources got in touch with Karan, he said, “Yes, it was a strange incident, and the kids mobbed me like anything. They were going crazy on seeing me. I even damaged one side of my car, when I tried to get away from them. Eventually the production guys had to come to my help”.

Now this is what an actor has to keep facing every now and then!

The latest buzz making way from Tellyworld is that Life OK's daily Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki’s story will soon be going filmy way.

Very much like the storyline of Sridevi-Anil Kapoor-Urmila starrer Judaai, Lakshmi ( Shraddha Arya) will sell her husband Arjun Agnihotri ( Sudeep Sahir) to Saumya (Nisha Rawal). It is learnt that from starting Monday 28 May, the smooth life of Arjun, Lakshmi and Saumya takes yet another turn.

Audience will get to see in the upcoming episodes that as Agnihotris have gone bankrupt, Lakshmi decides to sell her husband to Saumya. In the upcoming episodes, Saumya will offer help to the Agnihotri family by taking them to her house and asking Arjun to join her business.

However, Arjun will refuse and this will not go down well with the over ambitious Lakshmi. She will decide to meet Saumya, wherein Saumya will offer a deal to Lakshmi in exchange for Arjun. When contacted, Shraddha said, "We have just shot for the promo so I really have no idea about what is going to happen in the future episodes."

After showcasing some lovey-dovey moments between the lead pair, Life OK’s show Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki produced by Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt Ltd is now heading toward some high pitched drama.

There is doubt that the show is one of the top rated ones on the channel and ever since its start, has managed to hold the attention of the viewers. The ardent fans of the show are already witnessing spice with the entry of Soumya (Nisha Rawal) who was once Arjun’s (Sudeep Sahir) muse.

With her presence in the house, a feeling of insecurity has engulfed Lakshmi (Shraddha Arya) and in order to overcome that one will see Lakshmi trying out all means of grabbing attention of the family. Life OK’s Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki helmed by UTV Productions has recently witnessed Arjun (Sudeep Sahir) and Lakshmi’s (Shraddha Arya) luxurious wedding wherein celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora and other renowned faces from the tellywood graced the occasion.

The show is now all geared up to see some major twists with Arjun’s ex Nisha Rawal being at the Agnihotri mansion. And to spice up things, now the makers have planned to rope in versatile actress Mona Parekh for a very prominent role. Buzz has it that she will be seen playing a rich and wealthy Maharani.

Updating of her entry, a sources said that she would enter the scene as the family wasn’t able to attend Arjun’s wedding. So being a family friend of Rajvardhan Agnihotri, they will be directly invited to their house. Confirming the news, Mona said, “Yes, I have been signed for the show and it’s a cameo. I don’t know much about the track as today (27 April 2012) is my first day of shoot”.

It is notable that she has earlier on featured in Deeya Chopra’s Vishnupuran and Aroona Irani’s Mehendi Tere Naam Ki.

Buzz states that Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta produced by Ekta Kapoors’s Balaji Telefilms is all set to witness a high pitched drama. As seen, Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and DK (Naved Aslam) have arranged for a surprise party for Arjun, who is unbeknownst of Ovi’s (Shruti Kanwar) return to India.

Sources say that coming episodes will see Manav and DK announcing the engagement of Arjun and Ovi at the party. This will come as a shocker for both Arjun and Purvi, who have confessed love for each other. On the other hand, it will be an emotional moment for Archana (Ankita Lokhande) as she will get to see her daughter Ovi after 18 long years.

Hiten Tejwani confirmed the news and stated, “Yes, Manav and his boss will organize a party in which they will go on to announce Arjun-Ovi’s engagement. The fathers are unaware of Purvi-Arjun being in love. It is now to be seen how the story unfolds”.

It’s been quite a few days that audiences are eagerly waiting for the love track to blossom between TV’s new couple, Purvi (Asha Negi) and Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) from Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta.

As seen last, Arjun had confessed his love before Purvi but only to get rejected from his ladylove. Purvi told him that the two belong to completely different families and hence love can never be a connecting link for them. However, she will soon have a heart change and will start realizing her feelings for Arjun.

Meanwhile, Arjun, who is now left heartbroken, will plan to fly back to Canada. However, this is where the major drama will take place. Purvi will decide to accept his love and will turn up at the airport and prevent Arjun from leaving.

Rithvik Dhanjani began his television journey as a lovelorn werewolf in Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani, and now he is back again on the small screen as Arjun in his new show Pavitra Rishta following the leap.

Earlier he has tried his hands in dance, modeling and featuring in a number of television commercials, but eventually found his feet in the showbiz industry. He admits that it has always been his dream to be in the entertainment industry. "I was never cut out for a desk job," he swans.

Although, he always wanted to be an actor, television was never really the final destination. He says, "I never wanted to do television. But then I was offered the role of Jeh Khurana in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. Ekta had immense trust in me and it was my responsibility to do justice to the character."

Even though he is just two shows old in the industry, Rithvik feels strongly about the entertainment industry. "All shows that are screened today are over dramatic. But that is what works. These daily soaps are not just a medium of story-telling. Their primary motive is to entertain the audience. People who do not like these shows should watch art movies," he says.

Well, now it has to be seen if people follow his advice or not!
