Chandragupta Maurya now gets into a new trouble

Chandragupta Maurya now gets into a new trouble!

Chandragupta Maurya now gets into a new trouble
News about Imagine TV’s highly popular Chandragupta Maurya making a comeback has permanently been the topic of discussion. Since Imagine TV closed down, there has been a huge buzz that the show will make a comeback on Sony Entertainment Television.

But it has been quite some time since the news broke and nothing has been heard further in the direction. Now the latest update on Maurya’s phoenix like story is that the channel Sony Entertainment Television, has asked the production house to get a NOC (Non Objection Certificate) from Turner group. Nothing can get a go ahead till the NOC is obtained.

For the confirmation of the news when sources get in touch with show’s CO Nilanjana, she said, “That’s true, Sony is asking for NOC and it will take time for us to get it. It’s a process and we have to undergo it,”

Meanwhile, news of serial’s lead Ashish Sharma aka Chandragupta opting out from the show has already troubled many. And his replacement will be made only after the makers procure the NOC.

Hope the audience soon gets to watch Maurya back!

Ashish Sharma justifies quitting Chandragupta Maurya
With Imagine TV shutting down unexpectedly, many of its shows also met the same end. But luckily, Chandragupta Maurya, which created a lot of buzz since it went off air, has managed to find a new channel ready to air it.

As we had last updated you, Sony TV has brought the rights of the show and is all willing to air the historical saga. But buzz even states that show’s lead, Ashish Sharma aka Chandragupta Maurya, won’t be a part of it as he has moved on with Jay Mehta's next on Zee TV.

While one was finding Jay Mehta’s show as the reason behind Ashish’s absence from Maurya, the actor refuted saying that his contract with the makers (Sagar Arts and 72 Degree Northe) would have come to an end. He added, "If the show would have continued, I would have hoped that it ended by my contract period so that I could chase my dream of producing short films”.

Ashish even said, "It was unfortunate that the show shut down. We were all working towards the part where Chandragupta would become the king. I am not sure if the show will come on another channel or not. Even if it does, it will not start before July and by then my contract would be over. I can’t continue for I have my above commitments which will get delayed by a year and a half and that is something which I can’t afford. I agree professional decisions are harsh to take but yet you need to go ahead with them”.

Well, we hope you create magic with the new show Ashish!

Chandragupta Maurya will be back, but not with Ashish Sharma in the lead

Chandragupta Maurya will be back, but not with Ashish Sharma in the lead!

Chandragupta Maurya will be back, but not with Ashish Sharma in the lead
We hope this pacifies all Maurya fans as Chandragupta Maurya is soon going to be back on TV after it went off-air abruptly due to the sudden closure of Imagine TV. And if sources are to be believed, then the show is all set to return on Sony Entertainment Television.

Well, if this happens, then it will create a history of sorts in the world of Hindi television industry. Maurya’s makers Sagar Arts and 72 Degree North have been making efforts to get the series back on TV and approached Zee TV, Sony and Life OK. Ultimately, Sony has agreed to air the show all over again.

But here is a twist in the story? The lead actor Ashish Sharma is out from the frame, He will no longer flex his muscles and swirl the sword as Chandragupta Maurya. He said, “I am not doing Chandragupta Maurya (CGM) though I wanted it to come back on another channel after Imagine TV went off air. But then I had a lot of pending work to do while I was doing CGM and hence as soon as the show went off air I got busy setting my company Smoking Carrots”.

Ashish is going to miss the show, as he said,   “For me I am Chandragupta Maurya. I have lived it for eight months and while quitting the show, I will be leaving behind a part of me as well.”

Well, Ashish it’s part of life…..Good Luck for future stories!

So here we are back with some updates regarding the star cast of Jay Mehta’s highly talked about venture on Zee TV, which is said to be based on the lines of the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namaste London.

Last we had updated you that the makers have locked in names like Sukirti Khandpal (Pia of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani), Ashish Sharma (Chandragupta Maurya fame), and Manmeet Singh. Actor Nandish Sandhu was expected to play the male lead but his ill health made him opt out of the show therefore, the production house will take some more time in finding for a suitable replacement.

Anyway, the news which we have got today states that Malini Kapoor, last seen in Crime Patrol is the latest one to join the gang. Sources say that she will play the bua of the female lead and hers will be a naughty, chirpy and the only character who will support her niece. Furthermore, she will have a skeleton in the closet.

Malini’s character will have a maligned past; her groom had abandoned her on wedding night and had fled to London. But she will believe that he will come back someday, and will dress up like a married woman wearing sindoor and bangles. She confirmed the news and said, “It is a very interesting role that I will be playing in the show. My character is very chirpy, bubbly in nature but has a past associated with her.”

sooraj thapar as c.i.id officer in chal sheh aur mat on colors tv

sooraj thapar as c.i.id officer in chal sheh aur mat on colors tv

Newly launched show on Colors, Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat has been garnering quite good reviews from reviews from the audiences, going by its TRP ratings.

And it is expected that in coming days, it will only get higher as the creative team is leaving no stone unturned to continue the growth. To boast the rating chart, the show is bringing up talented actor Sooraj Thapar in the show.

Currently seen in Imagine TV's Chandragupta Maurya as Dhananand, would soon join the cast of Chhal-Sheh Aur Maat. Buzz says that in today's episode, Sooraj Thapar would enter the show as a flamboyant CID inspector to investigate the whole case. He would essay Inspector Dushyant Singh, who is obsessed with justice, but don’t mistake him as a serious workaholic cop because Dushyant is the exact opposite of that.

He is chilled out, a bit crazy, has various cods, likes to have fun, and doesn’t look like there is a single serious bone in his body. But beware, as he has a high conviction rate. And once he gets it into his head that he will solve a crime he will not let anything get in his way.

That’s how he is the biggest threat to Kabir (Avinash Rekhi) whereas Neha (Hunar Ali) is really hoping Dusyant will get her out of this hellish situation.

So along with Dhananand get ready to witness Sooraj Thapar in a new avatar!
