Star Plus’ show Diya Aur Baati Hum though in a slow and steady yet impressive pace has managed to be the TRP ruler within months of its launch.

And to gain more viewers’ attention, the makers Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions have now decided to infuse an interesting twist in the upcoming episodes. As reported earlier too, coming episodes we will get to see Suraj aka Anas Rashid and Sandhya aka Deepika Singh confessing their love for each other. However, the turning point will come when Sandhya come back with Suraj to his place.

Their emotional confrontation will help the couple in knowing the love they have for each other but the real drama will take place once Suraj gets her back to his place. When sources contacted the lead Anas Rashid, he affirmed about the development and said, “Yes, it is true that viewers can expect a major revelation when Suraj takes Sandhya out of the house. However, it is for the audience to see what it is.”

The adage, once bitten twice shy is an adage which perfectly suits the handsome hunk of TV Vivan Bhatena last seen in Zee TV’s Sanskaar Laxmi.

Before you start wondering as to what made us say so let us spill the beans and tell you that Vivan feels that doing the show was his biggest mistake. He said, “I really had big expectations from the above Zee TV show for it had a great set up, excellent cast and a superb story. Sadly the creatives digressed from the initial plot of a family drama (the up and down of the Purohit family as seen from Laxmi’s point of view) and went down the love story route between Laxmi (Veebha Anand) and Suraj (Rohit Purohit). No wonder the show quickly lost steam (it shut shop within eight months).

I was quite unhappy with my character graph as he did not have much to do. I quit the show sometime before it finally bid adieu in September 2011”. He further added, “I have learnt from the above mistake and will now wait for something really juicy on the small screen.”

Moreover, he is even getting ready for his move to the big screen. Talking of it Vivan shared, “I have just finished a film and hope it will release by the year end (2012). I can’t talk anything about it as the production house has asked me to refrain from divulging anything.”

Well, we hope that such a mistake never happens again!

One can say that the ideal bahu of Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum, Deepika Singh aka Sandhya is very much like her on-screen character in real life too.

It is quite surprising, but in spite of being from celeb world, the Delhi born girl recently is not very social and does not mingle with most of her male co-stars from the industry. “I just meet them during shoots or events where we only exchange pleasantries. I am not very active on the social networking scene as well.”

When sources quizzed the girl about her ideal man, who she is yet to find, the lovely actress said, “I am looking for somebody who will understand me and my family and someone with whom I can spend the rest of my life with.”

She further went on to say that she does not give too much importance to physical looks, “This trait is not high on my wish list.” On another note, she said that she supports the idea of married women going to work, “Agreed conservative households don’t support such ideas, but I am all for it and know of many women who successfully balance both work and house.”

Diya Aur Baati Hum: Will Sandhya stay with the Rathis

Bhabho has given her verdict that came as a pleasant surprise. Sandhya can stay with Rathis if she wishes to. Now the ball lies in Sandhya's court. Bhabho has stood by her words and in spite of disliking Sandhya, she let her stay as she passed her 15-days test of being a good daughter-in-law.

Now whether to stay at the Rathi house or not, the decision lies with Sandhya. Sooraj is happy with Bhabho's decision, however Sandhya is under a dilemma. She is trying to come to a firm decision after weighing the situation.

On the other hand, Sooraj decides to gift Sandhya. He knows her likes and dislikes very well, so instead of shopping for clothes or jewellery he goes to a book store. However, he is confused which book to buy for Sandhya.
