New nani saas in Saas Bina Sasural on sony tv

Saas Bina Sasural (Hindi:सास बिना ससुराल)is an Indian comedy-drama television series based on the story of a young lady, Taanya a.k.a. Toasty, who has a "sasural" (in-laws' house) consisting of seven quirky men, deprived of a "saas" (mother-in-law).The series premiered on October 18, 2010, and is produced by Vipul D. Shah of Optimystix Entertainment .
Taanya Sharma, known as Toasty, is an intelligent schoolteacher in love with a kindhearted man named Tej Chaturvedi. Though Tej's family has no women in it (all seven family members are men who hate women) the family eventually agrees to their marriage and the grand wedding takes place. Thus, the rule of the Chaturvedi family which forbade to touch or even talk with women is broken. Toasty then finds herself in a family in which there is a Dadaji (grandfather), Pitaji (father) and five brothers, Tej being the middle one. All the chaachis, maamis, buaas etc who attended the wedding had all gone and she was the only woman in the house [
Taanya's despairs, as she realizes that she needed to play the warden of a boy's hostel where the boys ranged 60 to 12 in age groups. Taanya gives up and accuses Tej of cheating her by not telling the truth and then she leaves the house. She returns to her maternal home, only to find that her brother and Bhaabhi were all packed and were ready to leave the house. Taanya's Bhaabhi did not will to take the responsibility of her in-laws and hence she moves out of the house with Taanya's brother. And before Taanya could utter a word about her own problem, her mother tells her that a woman, like a needle is supposed to stitch a family together and not break it. She asks Taanya to always keep her family together and never do anything to break it. Toasty has no alternative and she returns -- determined to face the challenge, to stay in the family which was deprived of women. (Many minor and funny events take place after this as Toasty comes back in the house. During Toasty's wedding an unknown lady (later found as Maalti's mother, Shobha Devi) made several attempts to break the wedding, but she was unsuccessful. For further details or to know who Maalti is go on reading.)
Nitika (Toasty's friend) falls in love with a man called Rajan. But he believes that she has an affair with Ved(Tej's second eldest brother)-but it was a a mistake, and Ved did not have any feelings for Nitika, then- and and starts doing ill-behaviour with her. His believe was prooved when he saw a false photo of Ved making Nitika wear a gajra, but he did not listen to her and humiliated her publicly infront of Ved . Thus, Nitika's wedding was broken and Ved was hurt as he was a women-hater but Rajan accused him of having an affair, just after he was accused of a false molestation. Later Ved started helping Nitika in her small problems which attracted them towards each other.
The reason the men of the house hate women is because the eldest brother, Pashu, was married to a woman named Malti, who left him because she felt she was being treated as a maid. Since then there was a long court case going on in which she was asking for money from the family, falsely accused the second eldest brother, Ved, of molestation, and had Pitaji and Pashu arrested for taking dowry. And as a result Ved became a brahmachaari [ While she was leaving the house, Dadaji tried to stop her but she was least bothered; Dadaji fell from the stairs and broke his leg, since then he is handicapped. Toasty by mistake makes friendship with Maalti and she is forbade to stay in the Chaturvedi Nivas, as the family hates Maalti, and even they- especially Tej -stop talking to her. Later Maalti comes to the Chaturvedi Nivas and says that neither Toasty knew that that Maalti was the wife of Pashu nor Maalti knew that she was Tej's wife Toasty, as they introduced themselves to each other as Taanya and Madhu Maalti Dubey. Later when the family gets to know the truth, they try many tricks to call Toasty back (like Cheddi's false heart attack, which was a joke), they even called Shanti a.k.a. Buaa (Cheddi's sister) and at last Toasty comes back and Tej and Toasty are reunited. Later, Toasty and Tej get Pashu and Maalti back together since it is evident that they miss each other. But, Maalti's mother was against it, but Pashu and Maalti's love melted her heart and she also stpped manipulating Maalti and Toasty, thus her plan changes and she starts to see the Chaturvedi family in a positive sense. As Maalti and Pashu are reunited, the family accepts Maalti back into the household forgiving her of what she did previously, and the family is finally complete. But she still found herself guilty of what she did to Ved and Dadaji, later when Taosty made her understood, she was convienced, that what's done cannot be undone and became happy to be back in the Chatuvedi Nivas, forgetting what happened. But the house keys were given to Toasty, as Cheddi wanted so.

Tosty starts feeling unwell and faints. Malti believes Tosty is pregnant] and tells the whole family, making them ecstatic with joy. However, it turns out that Tosty is not really pregnant; she only fainted due to the stress of too much work. Malti apologizes for her mistake but the family is visibly upset upon knowing the truth. Thus, Tosty decides to get everyone to smile again whilst promising Tej that as soon as everyone is adjusted to having Malti back in the house, their little baby will come along. Later, Pashu-Maalti and Tej-Toasty are sent on a honeymoon
Pracheen then later falls in love with Dimple, Toasty's sister and Riya, who is a new girl in his college, thus he falls in a love triangle but he chooses Riya. One night, on phone Riya tells him to meet at the coffee shop where she will introduce him to her friends. Prachin is shocked and doesn’t know what to do as he has no money and that Cafe where they were to meet is very expensive and her friends are coming too. So he asks money from Tej and Toasty saying that he has to buy stationeries, but they refuse. He later asks for money from Maalti and she gives him some. Toasty later asks Malti that did she give Prachin money -but she does not know that Maalti gave him money-and warns her that not to give him money because he’s been asking money from everyone nowadays. While Dadaji listens to their conversation. Malti says that she has that much understanding and that she won’t just give Prachin money like that; after the coffeshop meet (in the meet her friends did not show up), next day Riya and Prachin plan to meet in an expensive theatre. While Toasty was washing colthes and Malti was sweeping, Toasty while checking the pockets of the trousers pulls a sheet of paper out of a pair of pants, it was Prachin’s bill from the Cafe. Toasty goes to place the bill pieces on the table and Malti watches her from behind the pillar. She tells Maalti about the bill and exclaims that it was INR210. [ To watch film with Riya, Pracheen takes money from Dimple, and Toasty comes to look for Pracheen in his college. There she gets to know that he was not attending his lectures since a few days and has taken money from mano of his friends who were asking their money back. Prachin gets caught by Toasty as he was entering late in the house. Toasty forces Prachin to reveal the problem but he again reveals lie. Toasty discloses the money incident to Malti and doubts on him. Prachin again gets caught by Toasty as he was stealing money from Dadaji's cupboard. Toasty gets extremely worried in regards to Prachin. Toasty expresses about her doubt to Tej. Next day, Dadaji informs his family members about the missing money from the cupboard. Malti puts the blame on herself about the missing money and does not reveal the truth. Seeing that Toasty is stunned. But, that day Pracheen sees Riya flirting with another boy and making fun of Pracheen thus, he is disheartened. Heart-broken Pracheen reveals the truth to Toasty and Maalti, who forgive them.
All the members of Chaturvedi family were habituated to Toasty and her working patterns; so Toasty and Tej design a plan so that family members get habituated to Maalti instead of always looking for Toasty. And the family at last gets habituated to Maalti's working patterns.
(Many minor and funny events take place after this.)

Soon after Pashu and Tej have fights between their own business and Tej opens his separate sari shop[which he names after his deceased mother, Vimla and it has more income the shop of Pashu. Later they have a competition in which Tej wins and he goes to Pune to get sarees for his shop. But the family was unaware of this fact earlier, as to help Pashu Toasty made Pashu win, and Tej lost the game, and as per the bet Tej had to close his shop- as Pashu's shop was the actual and the old shop of the family-but when he got to now that Toasty lied, he got angry and revealed the truth. After they got to know that where Tej was, it is told on the news that the bus that Tej boarded had met with an accident . Toasty, Pashu and Ved go to the spot of accident to find Tej, but in vain. Just as they lose hope Toasty finds Tej surprisingly, in a hospital. Thus, they all are reunited. It was told that Pitaji was gone to meet his dying friend during that time .

Later, Tej and Toasty celebrate their first marriage anniversary in style

When Toasty realizes that her best friend, Nitika, is in love with Ved, Tej's second-older brother, she promises to get Nitika and Ved married. She promises to get Nitika and Ved married. Though Ved is attracted to Nitika, he is torn between her and his wish to become a priest. So, Toasty brings in one of her friends,Damini, who is an aspiring actress. Damini[ plays the role of a pious woman in front of Ved, and tries her best to win his heart. Then suddenly, when the family is having dinner, Dadaji proposes that Damini should marry Ved. But Ved refuses, and when Tej asks him the name of the woman he loves, he reveals his feelings for Nitika [He also gives up his brahmachaari. Now, everyone is happy for Ved and convince him to propose to Nitika but before marriage can occur, Pitaji brings in Kia, his recently-deceased friend's daughter, and reveals that he promised his friend that Kia would to Ved. At the same time, Kia, a villainous brat who smokes and drinks(once the familt gets to know that someone drinks in the house, but is unaware that it is Kiya, and when they see a wine bottle with Gyan-he mistakenly found it in his school bag, where it was hidden by Kia, and think him to be a drunkard. So he's locked in a room and forbade to have food, till he doesn't says the truth, but Toasty and Maalti have full faith in him and they protest, which makes the family to forgive Gyan), is hell-bent on marrying Ved, as that is the only way she can access the money and property her father left her in his will. On the night of Ved and Nitika's marriage, Kia interferes by taking Nitika's place on the altar. In a final confrontation, Ved ultimately decides to marry Kia, to fulfill his father's wishes. Heartbroken, Nitika leaves as Ved and Kiya get married, much to the disgust of all the Chaturvedi family except Pitaji

Toasty tries her best to reveal Kia's truth to her family after finding out that not only does she smoke and drink, but has also been married before to a man named Jai Malhotra (she got to know about Jai when she went with Kiya and Ved in their honeymoon along with the family). Their, Jai blackmails her and says that if she doesn't give him a sum of INR15 Lacs then he will expose her truth. Kiya runs away to sell her mangalsutra to get INR5 Lacs while the Chaturvedi family mentions her as missing [ She complains a false theft of her mangalsutra but Toasty finds it in her bag when they return back but she is again unsuccessful to expose her truth. She later even steals INR10 Lacs from the house and Toasty makes her video as an evidence and shows it to Tej. After several efforts, Toasty is finally able to expose Kia to the family with the help of Nitika and her mother. Caught red-handed, Kia is thrown out of the house, and Jai says that she is of no use to her and leaves[ The episode ends with Ved asking the Mangalsutra back from Kia, as she does not deserve that, while Pitaji apologizes to the family for breaking up Nitika and Ved's marriage.
With Kia no longer in the house, the family tries to rearrange the marriage of Ved and Nitika, but Nitika's family is disapproving, because of what happened last time, and plan to get Nitika married with someone else as soon as possible. Thus, the Chaturvedi family gets to know that and makes a plan to make Nitika to run away and get married to Ved. This plan becomes successful and Nitika and Ved get finally married. Though Nitika's family gets angry, they are forced to leave, as there is nothing else left for them to do. Nitika and Ved begin their happy married life together with the blessings of the Chaturvedi family[

After Nitika's marriage she wants to continue her job, but the rules of the house forbids her to do so, but at last Pitaji agrees, when Toasty calls her; as he is out of station.

While on the other hand, Maalti finds that she is pregnant and is filled with joy and happiness. But the doctor informs the family that there are complications in Maalti's pregnancy.
And after the long struggle to make Kiya leave the house, Toasty is back to take care of the house's kitchen and cook delicious dishes on her own, so she is struggling a bit. Nitika wanted to help her but Toasty did not want her to get delayed for her office, after the break for her marriage. Toasty's mom, Sudha also visited to Chaturvedi Nivas. She was adorable, she also came with boxes full of home made snacks and sweets, like chiwra, gathia and so on, for Maalti. Her love and thoughtfulness for Maalti felt to be very true and there was not any feeling of jealousy from her daughter, Toasty.
After Sudha's visit, the Chaturvedis at last plan to call Cheddilal's saas (mother-in-law), Ganga Devi (instead of Sudha and Buaa (Shanti)), who was left out after her daughter and Cheddilas's wife, Vimla's death . Ganga Devi is an orthodox kind of person, who has great faith in Indian traditions and other ritualistic things. She is very tough and blunt in her approach, but is positive towards life. She is loving and caring, but at the same time does not tolerate any indecency from anyone. She always tries to empower people by her rules and regulations. But now Pitaji(Cheddilal) is afraid to call her back. He gathers some courage and finally reaches the village of Ganaga Devi along with Tej, there when they meet each other she refuses them saying that she does not know them. Tej does his best to convience her to bring her in their home in Mumbai to look after Maalti. But she's very clear at her point that she will never ever keep her foot on that house. [17The reason of Ganga Devi not to come to that house is that when Vimla was pregnant (during the time Gyan was in her stomach), Ganga Devi said that let her take care of Vimla like she had done in the times, when she gave birth to Pashu, Tej, Ved and Pracheen but Cheddi admitted her in the hospital, where Vimla died at time she gave birth to Gyan; this is the first reason. Later, when Ganga Devi said that let her take Pracheen and Gyan to the village and take care of them; as they were the youngest, then Cheddi said that he would not let her sons to live in a village and become a chuff or a clod; this was the second reason. Since then Ganga Devi broke all relationships with the Chaturvedis as she was hurt; later Cheddi tried a lot to apologise but she did not forgive him. But at last after several tricks played by Tej, she agrees to come to the Chaturvedi Nivas in Mumbai, thus Toasty's wish to have a saas in the house is fulfilled. But she is very ritualistic and an orthodox kind of person who has great faith in superstitions. She is very tough and blunt in her approach, but is positive towards life. She is loving and caring, but at the same time does not tolerate any indecency from anyone. She always tries to empower people by her rules and regulations.
When she comes to their house she breaks down to tears as she sees the family after, nearly 15 years. As she has comes the family gives no chance for her to complain, but she did observed and scolded Toasty as she was wearing a black saree-as black is an unlucky colour- but later when she wears a red saree and comes, Ganga Devi forgives her and appreciates her for the delicious supper, they have made. While, the family go on saying good things about Toasty, they even say that she has taken the place of Vimla; that makes Ganga Devi to think. That night, the family members convience each other that Ganga Devi is very strict but very loving and caring from her heart and they all agree. But, next day Toasty's again caught as Pracheen, wears shoes and enters the kitchen and Toasty was ignorant about it, thus this again gives her a chance to complain but she forgives her when Toasty promises that it won't happen again, but later she asks her to recook the food and she and Nitika do so. But, somewhere in her heart she has very close feelings for Toasty and she takes her up as her deceased daughter, Vimla. As the day passes, she teaches and tells the family her ways of doing work, to re-establish the Indian culture, she also plans a puja to thank God for the baby, where she tells to gift the priest a gold idol of Bal Gopala.

Sachin Tendulkar on Friday became the first batsman in history to score 100 international centuries, adding another milestone in his record-breaking career. Tendulkar, who turns 39 next month, achieved the feat when he recorded his 49th one-day century in the Asia Cup match against
Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka. He has 51 Test hundreds. The Mumbai batsman, who has compiled more Test and one-day runs than anyone in history, reached the record with a single, marking the moment with a modest glance to the sky while pointing to the Indian flag on his helmet.
Tendulkar is the most capped player in the history of the game with 188 Test and 462 one-day appearances since making his debut against Pakistan in Karachi in November, 1989.
Millions of fans in India and across the cricketing world endured an anxious year-long wait before Tendulkar finally reached the landmark in the four-nation tournament, the symbol of one-day supremacy in the continent.
After 33 innings and over a year, Tendulkar finally got to the elusive ton. It took him 138 deliveries, one of the most arduos one-day efforts by the 38-year-old right-hander, to get to the 100 that had become as much a talking point as the team's fortunes in the past 365 days.
The bowler against whom it came about was Shakib Al Hasan and the moment was the fourth delievry of the 43rd over of Indian innings.
Tendulkar clipped it down to square leg and jogged the single, gave a long hard stare to his bat after taking off his helmet before looking heavenward in his signature style. What was missing was emotion.
The diminutive batsman, the most successful batsman in internationla cricket right now, kept it subdued. He shook hands with Suresh Raina, his partner at the other end, and raised his bat to acknowledge the cheering fans with a straight face giving little insight into what was going on his mind amid the drama.
But the teammates in the dressing room were as expressive as they could be as they all got up from their seats to applaud the veteran as he added another feather to an already overcrowded cap.
However, reaching the milestone was no easy task for the player who often makes batting look effortless.
After getting what several former cricketers called a monkey off his back, Tendulkar was dismissed by Mashrafe Mortaza off the second last delivery of the 47th over. The 114-run knock was incidentally Tendulkar's maiden century against Bangladesh.
Upon his dismissal, the Bangladeshi players expectedly gave him a round of applause as he walked back to pavillion with fans cheering him on. His Indian teammates and coach Duncan Fletcher received him at the boundary lauding the iconic player.
But what would be remembered is the wait that Tendulkar endured to get to the milestone. It all began with the 99th ton that he got against South Africa in a World Cup match on March 12 last year.
For a man, who is considered nothing less than god of cricket in India, getting to 100th was considered nothing more than a stroll in the park.
He decided to skip the tour of West Indies that followed and the subsequent trip to England proved a disaster not just for him but for the entire team as it failed to notch a single win in any format of the game.
He got close to scoring the hundred a few times in the home Test series against the West Indies but missed out. The action shifted to Australia after that and though he seemed to be in good form, the Aussies kept their promise of not letting him the reach the milestone against them at least.
He was eventually selected for the ODI tri-series, his first one-day assignment after the World Cup, but once again the hundred eluded him.
Tendulkar then made himself available for the Asia Cup and as destiny would have it, the elusive ton came in the familiar sub-continental environs.

Parkash Singh Badal takes oath as Punjab chief minister for fifth time

CHANDIGARH: Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday became Punjab's oldest chief minister Wednesday when he was sworn in for a record fifth time at the historic Sikh battlefield of Chappar Chiri in Mohali, 20 km from here.
He took the oath in Punjabi.
Badal -- who had earlier been chief minister in 1969, 1977, 1997 and 2007 -- was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Shivraj Patil in the presence of many top political leaders and thousands of people.
Badal's son and ruling Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal was sworn in as deputy chief minister of Punjab.
Sixteeen other ministers, including a woman minister, Jagir Kaur, were sworn in.
Beating the traditional anti-incumbency factor, the Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) combine had recently bagged a comfortable majority with 68 seats in the 117-member Punjab assembly.
Amongst those watching the ceremony were senior BJP leader and former deputy prime minister L K Advani, BJP president Nitin Gadkari, Janata Dal-United leader Sharad Yadav, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal as well as union minister Praful Patel.
Besides Badal, four other members of the Badal family are in the new cabinet -- son Sukhbir Badal, son-in-law Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, Sukhbir's brother-in-law Bikram Singh Majithia and another relative Janmeja Singh Sekhon.
The ministers in the outgoing Badal government (2007-2012) who have retained their places include Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, Ajit Singh Kohar, Gulzar Singh Ranike, Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Janmeja Singh Sekhon and Surjit Kumar Jyani (BJP).
Seven ministers of the outgoing government had lost in the recent assembly poll.
Senior Akali Dal leaders Sarwan Singh Phillaur, former minister Tota Singh, former Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Jagir Kaur were also inducted as cabinet ministers
New faces in the ministry include Anil Joshi (BJP), Surjit Singh Rakhra, who defeated Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh's son, Raninder Singh and Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, a former MP of Ludhiana.
The Akali Dal has kept 14 ministerial slots with itself while alliance partner BJP has got four berths. The BJP ministers include Bhagat Chunni Lal, Madan Mohan Mittal, Surjit Kumar Jyani and Anil Joshi.
The venue of the oath-taking ceremony has the country's highest tower - Fateh Burj (Victory Tower) - which is dedicated to the memory of the Sikh warrior, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, who established the Sikh state in the country by defeating Mughal forces led by Wazir Khan.
It is for the first time in over four decades that a government has been able to return to power for a consecutive term in Punjab.

Akhilesh Yadav sworn in as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Lucknow:  New Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be hoping hard this is not a portent. Barely had the 38-year-old been sworn in as  the state's youngest Chief Minister, that his biggest challenge was demonstrated by his party workers who shoved their way onto the stage and were seen climbing on sofas.

So shortly after being sworn in, the young SP leader assured the people of his state that his government "will not tolerate lawlessness and will tackle it with an iron hand." "Samajwadi Party will fulfill promises made in the manifesto. Law and order will be our responsibility from today," he said. During extensive campaigning in Uttar Pradesh during the recently held polls, Mr Yadav had vowed to cleanse his party of "goonda-giri" or hooliganism; he had also said
that his top priority would be to deliver law and order to a state besieged by crime.

Earlier in the day, Mr Yadav, dressed in white kurta pyjama and black sleeveless jacket and looking uncannily like his father Mulayam Singh Yadav, took oath at 11.34 am at the La Martiniere College grounds in Lucknow.  He firmly shook hands with Governor BL Joshi, and then, a picture of calm, reached into his left breast pocket for a pen, signed and waved to the hundreds of SP supporters who had gathered at the venue since early morning.

Nineteen Cabinet ministers and 29 ministers of state also took oath, among them the controversial independent MLA with criminal antecedents, Raghuraj Pratap Singh or Raja Bhaiyya, who expectedly thrown his lot with the SP. After taking over as the CM, Akhilesh defended Raja Bhaiyya, who has been a minister before in a Mulayam Singh government, and accused his predecessor Mayawati of filing false cases against him. "We all know how cases against Raja Bhaiyya were filed," he said.

"Organised corruption as happened in the previous regime never took place in the state. There were restrictions during the previous government and UP is now celebrating democracy," he added.

In the star-studded audience cheering Mr Yadav at the swearing-in ceremony were Sitaram Yechury, Biman Bose and industrialist Anil Ambani.

Samajwadi-party-ruckus-295x200.jpgHis unruly cadres are already proving to be the new UP Chief Minister's Achilles Heel. He has the advantage of having come to power with an unambiguous majority with 224 seats in the 403-seat UP Assembly. He scripted that Samajwadi Party win with a forward-looking agenda that has promised the people of UP freedom from goonda raj and good law and order, jobs and education, and good economics. He now has his task cut out - he has vowed to implement his election manifesto to the full.

Rival parties wager that law and order will deteriorate in a Samajwadi Party regime, as has happened before. Even before Akhilesh was sworn in, he has been called upon to explain violent conduct of SP workers in several places. He had so far pleaded that officials of the old dispensation were to blame. Now, having taken charge, he has to prove that those were not empty words.

Among other things he promised in that document were sops like laptops students who passed class 10, tablet computers to those who passed class 12, allowance to unemployed youths, free treatment to patients suffering from serious ailments and loan waivers for farmers.

Akhilesh will also have to take a call on constituting a commission for taking legal opinion on providing reservation to Muslims and implementing recommendations of the Ranganath Mishra Commission and the Sachar Committee.

The SP leader has also said that rooting out corruption in the state is among his top priorities. And has promised to remove the ban on student politics in the state.
