Parineeti Chopra credits Habib Faisal for Ishaqzaade success

Parineeti Chopra credits Habib Faisal for Ishaqzaade success!
Parineeti Chopra credits Habib Faisal for Ishaqzaade success
After impressing one and all with her vivacious stint as Dimple in her maiden venture Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl, actress Parineeti Chopra has hit the jackpot for the second time with Ishaqzaade.

The young and vibrant love tale, full of anger and vengeance, stars Parineeti alongside star kid Arjun Kapoor. They have floored everyone with their power packed acting skills and tremendous on-screen chemistry. Success of the film has once again made Parineeti bag accolades from all ends, but the girl is courteous enough to thank the director Habib Faisal for this feat.

She says, “Habib Sir is a mind blowing writer and I can say that he is one of the best writers that we have in our country. He has evolved and lived with the characters while writing the story and this adds to his direction abilities. He has acute clarity about his characters, whether it's their walk, talk, mannerisms, body language, facial expressions etc. It becomes easy to work with such directors and you get to learn a lot. He is a gifted writer/director and the more you interact with him, the more you realize that”.

Parineeti went on saying, “Full credit to Habib Sir here since in real life, Arjun and I aren't Parma or Zoya. Perfectionist that he is, Habib Sir prepared us for the role through workshops and other sessions for four full months. We lived lives of Parma and Zoya and were just being them instead of playing them. We took these characters home and that's the reason why it all looks so effortless on screen. Honestly, a lot of hard work has gone in it and now I can safely say that it has paid off."

Guess we too agree with you Parineeti!

Parineeti Chopra is bonding well with Jacky Bhagnani!
Bollywood is not just good for films that it gives to the box office, but also for the latest news and updates revealing the life and happening of B’wood actors.

We have always loved to hear about the news and gossips from the B-town and here is one more which has everything to do with the newbie Ishaqzaade actress Parineeti Chopra.

We have always been wondering that why weren’t Parineeti and Arjun Kapoor seen together during the promotion of their film Ishaqzaade. It was being thought that the crew was being considerate to Arjun as he has recently lost his mom. But to our surprise we have got to know that the main reason behind this was Parineeti Chopra.

The actress who met Jacky Bhagnani few months back in March has been bonding well with him and spares time to spend with Jacky. Well, this comes as a bolt out of the blue as Parineeti has always tried to keep her friendship with Jacky under wraps. The people close to the couple say that they are just in the friendship phase.

So there is a lot they need to know about each other before getting into a romantic relationship. Let’s see how long does it take for them to become lovers.

Ishaqzaade won the battle with Dangerous Ishq

Ishaqzaade won the battle with Dangerous Ishq!

Ishaqzaade won the battle with Dangerous Ishq
With Habib Faisal directing the movie and Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra acting in it, how can one expect Ishaqzaade to fail at the box office?

The movie which released this Friday along with Karisma Kapoor starrer Dangerous Ishq created an impact on the people which Vikram Bhatt’s movie couldn’t make.

Arjun Kapoor, son of filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin did a splendid job at the box office with their movie. Being a low budget movie and the star cast also being new the movie has brought wonders to the cinema. The love story of the two youngsters is really appreciated by everyone.

The movie earned about Rs 4.54 crore on the first day, making it the fifth biggest opening of the year (Agneepath – Rs 23 crore, Housefull 2 – Rs 14 crore, Agent Vinod – Rs 10 crore and Jannat 2 – Rs 8.52 crore). And it showed marginal growth on the second day by making Rs 5 crore. So the estimated weekend collections of this movie is said to be around Rs 15 crore net.

On the other hand, Dangerous Ishq could manage to gross only 3.5 crores in the first three days. Well, the filmmakers now know what kind of concepts is being taken in more.

ishaqzaade movie review 2012

ishaqzaade movie review 2012

Director Habib Faisal comes up with a winning love story – one that is a tragic reality in several small towns in India – and spices it up with tangible romance and drama

Ishaqzaade is a love story set against the backdrop of two political families – the Qureshis and the Chauhans – living in a small town called Almor in what looks like Northern India. The patriarchs of both families are fighting to become the next MLA, involving in caste politics to fill their vote bank. It’s an environment of hooliganism and hatred.
Parmar Chauhan (Arjun Kapoor) and Zoya Qureshi (Parineeti Chopra) too get involved in the fight for power and supremacy. While Parmar wants to prove his worth to his grandfather, Zoya harbours political ambitions. Can love bloom between these two gun-toting hot blooded youngsters, amidst all the hatred and politics? It can and it does, as one would have expected it to from the beginning. But it is the ‘how’ that makes the film exciting.
This is not just another tale of two people whose hatred turns into love and how they fight societal norms. There is more to it than the cliche. Caught in the crossfire of hatred and politics, the rowdy Parmar and fiery Zoya are forced into an irreparable situation. Interestingly, Chand Baby (Gauhar Khan), a dancer and prostitute who is on the fringes of society, seems to understand love better than the so-called upholders of the family name and the drivers of the political system.
What makes Ishaqzaade stand out is the script. Habib Faisal scores high in the writing department. He proved that even with his first film, Do Dooni Char, where he made a simple story about a middle class Delhi family an adorable and entertaining watch. In Ishaqzaade, the way Faisal makes his characters react to each other and to the situations unfolding around them is what keeps you hooked. You get the feeling that he is losing his grip towards the end, but he comes right back and makes up for it. Habib has cast an ensemble of completely unknown faces to support Gauhar Khan, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. And all of them do complete justice to their parts. Habib uses the character of Parmar’s mother to offset the political environment. A character that seems weak at first, but turns out to be much stronger than the others who openly wield their power.
Habib creates a web of politics, hooliganism, culture and the small town view of inter-religious marriage beautifully and with great detail. It’s a reality that we watch on news television and often choose to shut our eyes to.
Amit Trivedi’s score is perfectly in sync with the storyline and adds to the drama unfolding on the screen, bringing alive the romance developing against a ruffian ambiance.
The strength of the film also comes from the gritty performances of its lead cast. Gauhar Khan makes a huge statement with her role as Chand Baby. Here’s one actor who is yet to be used to her full potential. She looks good and breezes through the part of a prostitute with great ease and dignity. But what everyone has been waiting for is to find out if Boney Kapoor’s son and Anil Kapoor’s nephew Arjun Kapoor can act. There is no doubt that this young man can hold his own in front of the camera. He showed lots of promise in the trailers, and he does live up to all those expectations. You can see that he has worked hard to get into the skin of the rugged and unabashed Parmar. Yet, he leaves you with a feeling that a lot more effort will be required on his part if he wants to add more depth to his roles in the future and sustain his career as an actor.
Even though he is impressive, it’s Parineeti who steals the show from the debutant. After winning accolades for her role in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Ms Chopra lifts her performance one notch higher with Ishaqzaade. She plays the rebellious and fearless character of a Muslim girl with great conviction and strength. Here’s an actor to watch out for. It’s rare for a one-film-old actor to be able to convey the minutest of emotions and expressions with this much ease and confidence. Her spontaneity and naturalness bring the screen alive.
Parineeti’s performance is one of the aspects that make the film worth your while. Also watch Ishaqzaade for the raw, volatile and fresh chemistry between Arjun and Parineeti, for the almost flawless writing and direction by Habib, for a different kind of romance and, last but not least, the subtle and underlying statement of the harsh realities of small town love.

Stars are always born with more than just one talent and tend to reveal it after some time. Like Priyanka Chopra, who is really good at singing, her cousin and the newbie in the tinsel town Parineeti Chopra has revealed that she too has a passion for singing.

Well, this is ultimate news from the bubbly girl Parineeti Chopra who is currently on with the promotions of her upcoming and second flick opposite ArjunKapoor.

Parineeti, who will next be seen in Ishaqzaade, told everyone few days back that she can sing as she has been trained. Ask her if she will sing for the next movie, she says that she won’t sing unless she is satisfied with her acting. She might take up singing seriously later in her career.

She said, “I am a trained singer. Nidhi Narag is my guruji from Ambala. I had learnt singing for almost six years. I have done BA (hons) in music. I don’t want to sing right now. I have just started acting. I think after five to six years, when I will feel I have got a grip on acting and I don’t need to practice anymore, I will sing.”

When asked if she has a crush on any one, she said, “No I was not in love, but I have had 300 crore crushes. I like Saif Ali Khan but please don’t tell him. Whenever I meet Kareena Kapoor, I will tell her that you have competition.”

Well, the Chopras are born multi talented. Hope to see her second talent soon.

Arjun Kapoor doesn't like being compared with uncle Anil Kapoor
Hot chemistry of Ishaqzaade’s; Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra has already become the talk of the town these days. The audience is eagerly waiting for the curtains to be raised as this most touted upcoming is all set to hit theatres on May 11.

It is known that tinsel town’s newbie handsome, Arjun Kapoor is making a grand debut with this movie. Well, the strange part is that, though his first movie has not been released yet but people have already started comparing him with his uncle, Anil Kapoor who is a Bollywood veteran.

As per the industry sources, Arjun is not happy with this comparison and holds a view that it would be an insult to his uncle’s body of work. On being quizzed, he told the sources, “If I get compared to Anil chachu, then it means I have achieved a lot already. But I don't think it's fair to compare me with him because it's an insult to his body of work.”

The actor further asserted that comparison should be done fairly and should be on equal grounds, he added, “Today, he is in Hollywood and he has achieved what people only dream of. Comparisons are inevitable, but it should be of certain equality. Anil chachu is very superior. Evaluation should be done with my peers. I don't think it will create any pressure”.

Arjun we do respect your feelings!

Ishaqzaade is touted to another great version of Romeo-Juliet

Ishaqzaade is touted to another great version of Romeo-Juliet!
Ishaqzaade is touted to another great version of Romeo-Juliet
It has been five centuries since William Shakespeare wrote his epoch drama Romeo Juliet, but such is its fan following that it continues to be interpreted through different cultural nuances down the ages.

And the latest adaptation of Romeo Juliet is in the form of Ishaqzaade, which has been set up against the cultural backdrop of Hindi hinterland where the guns still rule the roost and it is the ability to take it out and shoot it that determines the social standing of a person in the society.

With Habib Faisal holding the baton to direct the movie, one really not need to worry about the drama content that the film would provide, as he is one of the most accomplished writers and theatre professional.

Added icing on the cake for the movie is that it has two new faces Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who does not have a baggage from the past so they would facilitate in letting the characters they portray on the screen, become their talking point.

It is after a long time Yash Raj Films is making a comeback in action genre but they have not done away with their core USP, Romance, as it is romance that is the underlining motif of the film having seasoning in the form of hardcore violence as it is a wont in the vicinity of UP.

Hopefully the film will create wonders on the box-office window!

Arjun Kapoor befriended a taxi-driver in Lucknow while shooting for Ishaqzaade

Arjun Kapoor befriended a taxi-driver in Lucknow while shooting for Ishaqzaade!

Arjun Kapoor befriended a taxi-driver in Lucknow while shooting for Ishaqzaade
By now everyone is known to the fact that debutant Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the role of rustic guy from Uttar Pradesh in Ishaqzaade.

And during his shooting stint in the state, the actor befriended a driver named Avneesh Yadav and later driver became a reference point for the actor's character of a Uttar Pradesh-based boy for the film. Ishaqzaade was shot in a small town called Hardoi near Lucknow.

For the quite some time Yadav has been bragging that he had actually turned Arjun from Bombaiyya to a UP ka chhokra (UP-based boy), and that he taught Arjun the local dialect, the way to walk, and conduct himself like a local, not from Lucknow, but from the state's interiors.

However some thought that he might be saying this to gain limelight but one of Arjun's close friends confirms that Yadav is indeed telling the truth. “Avneesh became Arjun’s best friend in UP. Avneesh is a taxi driver whom Arjun met at the Lucknow airport," said the friend. From that point till the shooting was over, Avneesh and Arjun were nearly inseparable.

A spokesperson from Yash Raj has confirmed the story and Mr. Yadav it seems, is in seventh heaven right now. Along with being Arjun’s body language trainer, Yadav also has a role to his credit and we are sure he couldn’t ask for more. Now dear friends, that’s what we call an incredible stroke of luck!

Katrina Kaif finds her rakhi-brother in Arjun Kapoor

Katrina Kaif finds her rakhi-brother in Arjun Kapoor
Katrina Kaif finds her rakhi-brother in Arjun Kapoor!

Even the thought of considering Katrina Kaif as their sister proves out to be dreadful for many men, but the Ishaqzaade star, debutant actor Arjun Kapoor considers the gorgeous actress as his rakhi sister!

Apparently, according to Arjun, Kat forced him to become her brother. While Salman Khan initiated him into the acting world, Katrina tied him a rakhi five years.

The newbie jokingly tells that Katrina always threatens to be his rakhi sister, but he completely denies that. But, why the denial? “Because she pressurizes me to do it (be her rakhi brother). You should ask her why. She made me do it once, literally, at gunpoint. But we are not a typical brother-sister pair. I am not a protective brother who’s like, ‘Koi dekhega meri bahen ko to thok doonga (if someone looks at my sister I will hit him)”, said Arjun.

Kat and Arjun share this relationship ever since they had been introduced to each other by Salman Khan. Salman has had a big influence on Arjun in motivating him to become an actor in the industry. It was Salman who saw the actor in him when he was still pursuing his career in direction. Arjun turned towards acting only after Salman’s persistence

So, in the future will Arjun and Kat team up as a romantic couple? Well, that remains to be seen!
