Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon opens on a good note

Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon opens on a good note!

Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon opens on a good note
With its very first episode Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon aired on Colors made it clear that unlike the speculations made, the show has no similarity to Dilip Kumar and Madhubala’s romantic affair whatsoever.

In fact, this show helmed by Saurabh Tewari’s Nautanki Telefilms is a tribute to the 100 years of cinema. And we are really glad that the makers have lived up to the hype created and have indeed catered a nice show so far. For those who missed to watch Madhubala’s debut, here we have a glimpse of what all happened in last two episodes.

The maiden episode was aired for 1 hour and it kicked off pretty well. Opening theme of the show takes you back in the era of Eastman color, where Hindi films had a peculiar way of acknowledging the film’s team. Shot in Ramoji Film City, the opening episode introduced one and all to the mean Balraj Choudhary aka Raj Zutshi. He has already been married once but the desire of having a baby boy made him tie the knot twice (needless to mention what fate his first wife must have faced).

Terrified by the predictions made by their Guruji (Lalit Parimoo), Choudhary and his mother played by Shagufta Ali ask badi dai (Sushmita Mukherjee) to reveal the gender of Padmini’s (Pallavi Purohit) unborn child. But this must have delighted all the viewers as we saw badi dai saving Padmini and helping her to flee from their clutches.

And now we are getting to see how destiny leads Padmini and Balraj’s daughter Trishna, from his first wife, to the film studios in Mumbai. The goons are still chasing them and Padmini is adamant on saving the lives of kids.

Each episode of the show is turning to be a power packed one and this has made the viewers wait in anticipation for the entry of leads, Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena.

We are sure their presence will make Madhubala give a run for money to others!

Sneak-peek into the story of Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon

Sneak-peek into the story of Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon!

Ever since the reports have come out that a show is under making based on the love story of Madhubala and Dilip Kumar and now that everything is final about it, everyone is thrilled waiting for it to hit the television screens soon.

Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon on Colors TV is touted as one of the biggest shows even before it makes its debut on 28th May 2012. With a stellar star cast comprising of Drashti Dhami and Vivian Dsena, Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon looks larger than life. For those curious to know what the hype and excitement is all about, here we come up with an exclusive update on the show's first episode. This episode opens with a shooting sequence where Balraj Chaudhary (Raj Zutshi) is practicing his skills on his own daughter Trishna.

Set in Motihari, Bihar, Balraj balances an apple on Trishna's head who then runs to her mother Padmini (Pallavi Purohit), who is Balraj's second wife and is seven months pregnant. Balraj's mother Ammaji (Shagufta Ali) calls up Guruji to predict her son's future. Guruji (Lalit Parimoo) tells Ammaji that if Padmini delivers a baby boy, then Balraj will flourish but if a baby girl is born, he will perish!

Ammaji then spares no efforts and calls for Badi Dai who predicts that Balraj and Padmini will have a baby boy. Both Balraj and Ammaji are very happy with the news and call for a celebration while Padmini secretly escapes from there and makes her way to Mumbai.

But why does Padmini escape to Mumbai? Is she hiding a secret

Sizzling item number in Colors' Madhubala…Ek Ishq Ek Junoon!

Sizzling item number in Colors' Madhubala…Ek Ishq Ek Junoon
There is saying that Hindi television industry replicates big Bollywood trends. And when B-town is going the item number way, how can telly shows stay behind.

The daily soap makers are set to turn on all the Sheilas and Munnis to sway their hips in order to tantalize TV viewers. Tracing the trend, actress Kayamath Khan will rock the dance floor in a classic item number in Saurabh Tewari’s Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon to be aired on Colors, starring Vivian Dsena and Drashti Dhami.

Apart from Kayamath, actors Raj Zutshi and Shafugta Ali will also feature in the song. They will dance on the famous Madhuri Dixit track Choli Ke Peechey. The sequence has been shot in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad and has been choreographed by Pinky Chinoy. Pinky is a well know choreographer who has worked in films like Sarfarosh and Mrityunjay. She is also into production of TV shows and has produced Mangalsutra Ek Maryada on Doordarshan.

Pinky Chinoy revealed the suspense and said, “I took this project simply because the production house was giving me a huge canvas to shoot with some amazing actors. I enjoyed shooting for the song with choreographer friend Rajeev Khinchi (he has choreographed with Farah Khan for seven years).”

Well, with such a promising act now the fans must be all the more eager to discover the whole panorama.
