Satyamev Jayate ends on a motivational note

Satyamev Jayate ends on a motivational note!

Satyamev Jayate ends on a motivational note
After garnering overwhelming TRPs and getting praised on various social networking websites, Aamir Khan's maiden TV show Satyamev Jayate has finally come to an end.

The talk show, which started with the issue of female foeticide, pondered over various burning social issues informing, educating, sensitizing and touching audiences' hearts and ended its 13-week journey Sunday with the spotlight on the right to equality.

It is notable that the show went on air May 6 and in episodes after episode, Aamir brought ahead unknown facts related to child sex abuse, medical malpractice, manual scavenging and dowry. He followed it up off the screen by meeting concerned leaders to ensure the problems are resolved.

He initiated his acts over the issues discussed with his meeting with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot wherein he requests the creation of a fast track court to decide the cases of the doctors, none of who have been penalized in the female foeticide cases. Along with that the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Bill, 2011, that was earlier cleared by Rajya Sabha, got the nod from lower house after the second episode of Satyamev Jayate.

Next in line was the episode highlighting malpractice among medical practitioners which even irked medical community. Though the medical community was miffed and asked apology from Aamir, the parliamentary standing committee invited Aamir and the Satyamev Jayate team to discuss the issue.

The grand finale of the show highlighted the basic tenets of the constitution that promises equality for all. Ironically, the people in the country are still subjected to discriminations on the basis of caste and religion. Aamir had asked, "When India's leaders envisaged building a new nation after independence, the constitution was the foundation stone of this Endeavour. We had resolved to establish a sovereign, secular, democratic republic with justice, liberty, equality and fraternity for all. After 65 years of Independence, are we actually living up to those principles”.

It saluted the courage of The Sarvodaya Trust, which gave shelter to both Hindu and Muslim children after the 2001 devastating earthquake in Gujarat as well as Sunitha Krishnan, a social worker who looks to rehabilitate prostitutes and rape victims through her anti-trafficking organization Prajwala.

We just hope that Aamir will again be back with more of such eye opening facts!

Aamir Khan brought domestic violence in light in Satyamev Jayate

Aamir Khan brought domestic violence in light in Satyamev Jayate!
Aamir Khan brought domestic violence in light in Satyamev Jayate
Aamir Khan is one such Bollywood actor, who instead of making money on television with game shows or reality shows, is doing an altogether different job. He is putting his best efforts to eradicate all the social problems people are facing through his show Satyamev Jayate.

In the last six episodes of the show, we have seen him dealing with issues such as female foeticide, dowry, child sexual abuse, honour killing, malpractices present in medical profession and about disabled people. And this time Aamir Khan was up for fight against domestic violence.

The show played host to physically and mentally abused women, who dared their husbands against the violence meted out to them. They stood as classic specimens of women-power- who epitomized motherhood and womanhood with utmost sincerity and conviction. Rashmi Anand, a well known author and counselor spoke about her personal experiences and how she dealt with her violent husband.

It also played a proud host to social activist Kamla Bhasin who has been working towards the upliftment of women in the Indian society for over 20 years. Satyamev Jayate also showed how an honest Police officer, Satheesh Balan’s efforts reaped fruits in Haryana and how he was able to set up a shelter home for women in his jurisdiction.

One can say that Aamir once again succeeded in garnering attention of people towards the evil practices and hopefully we’ll get to witness the improvement.

Treat the disabled as equals, asks Satyamev Jayate host Aamir Khan
Aamir Khan so far has undeniably succeeded in leaving an impression on the society about various social issues through his show Satyamev Jayate. And he once again thrilled the audiences as the sixth episode of the show dealt with the disabled section of the Indian society.

The host, who has succeeded in striking an emotional chord with the masses, spoke about how people generally treat their disabled countrymen.

Inspiring the disables, the episode discussed the rights to education for all, irrespective of physical ability. However, the Indian society is seldom open to accepting people with physical or mental disability in the mainstream section. The show played host to blind and lame men who narrated their inspiring stories and proved that they too could fall within the bracket of the fittest and survive with pride.

The audiences also stood witnesses to a noble initiate called Amar Jyoti, a school that welcomes all kinds of children and treats them as equals. The show also urged companies to hire men and women with disability so that they too could contribute to the Indian economy.

Captain Brar, a resident of Ahmedabad has set an example by setting up a company with over 270 disabled people employed. At the end, Aamir spoke about the need to have inclusive educational institutions with quality teaching staff and infrastructure in place that will allow disabled children too to be a part of regular schools and have a normal upbringing.

Keep up with your efforts Aamir

All pondering over Satyamev Jayate's sixth episode

All pondering over Satyamev Jayate's sixth episode!
All pondering over Satyamev Jayate's sixth episode
After all the inspiring and strong issues that Aamir Khan has taken up in his recent episodes of Satyamev Jayate, the sixth episode of the show is still a mystery. No one knows what it is going to be about.

The actor has quite wittily tried to drag all the eyeballs of the viewers in order to arouse the curiosity among the viewers concerning the topic to be discussed. As seen in the advertisement for the sixth episode, Aamir says, “Doston, hero banane ke liye kaunsi khoobi zaroori hai, khubsoorat chehra, fit body, tezz dimaag, talent? Nahi! Hero kehlaane ke liye sirf ek cheez chahiye!Kya hai woh? Jaanenge Sunday…”

So according to the promos of the show what should we think of it? Is it based on the real heroes who do some act of bravery in their lives or about the heroes who risk their life for someone else? It might also have the bravery award winners coming and talking to Aamir Khan in the show.

Well, do not forget to tune into Star Plus on Sunday to know what it is really about.

Dalip Tahil is in support of Aamir Khan's show Satyamev Jayate
The entire film and TV industry is uniting and voicing in support of Aamir Khan's popular show Satyamev Jayate airing on Star Plus.

Now, the latest entrant in this vogue is veteran TV and film actor Dalip Tahil, who has been a part of the TV scene over years now and is renowned for his performances in Buniyaad in 1987 and The Sword of Tipu Sultan in 1990. He has also acted in over 100 movies and his recent outings included Ra.One and Azaan.

While talking about Satyamev Jayate, 61 year old Dalip shared, "It is absolutely fantastic as Aamir is tackling issues which are of great concern to an average Indian. I wish there was more socially relevant television around. These issues need to be looked at with greater depth."

"Look he may not solve all the problems but his presence on television does bring more awareness on the subject," feels Dalip who has shared screen space with Aamir in movies like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1988.

Pointing out the fact that the medical community is up in arms against Aamir for painting the entire doctor fraternity in bad light, Dalip said, "Aamir did not say that all doctors are bad. They may say what they want but the truth is that there are many cases of medical negligence and plus, there is no major action taken against doctors who are not properly qualified to practice medicine."

Well said Sir!

Is Satyamev Jayate going to talk of honor killings this week

Is Satyamev Jayate going to talk of honor killings this week?

Is Satyamev Jayate going to talk of honor killings this week
Aamir Khan has been quite secretive about his television debut, Star Plus’ Satyamev Jayate. The show dealing with social issues has got accolades from every corner and people are more than eager to watch out Aamir coming up with a new subject every Sunday morning.

Though he always makes it a point to keep the topic a guarded secret; however, if the promos aired currently have anything to do then the coming episode is going to highlight honor killing. As we all know, honor killing is also one of the prime social issues faced by our nation.

There have been plenty of cases pertaining to the ill effects of honor killing. In fact, films too have tried a lot to highlight this menacing act. And now with Aamir also taking up the issue, we can surely expect some progressive development in the matter. Now what makes us assume honor killing to be this week’s Satyamev Jayate topic is the way Aamir is heard reciting the Ghalib poem in the opening lines of the promo.

He is heard talking of true love and how passionately it is being followed in the country. And considering the fact that Satyamev Jayate tends to highlight some or the other social issue, we can’t think of anything apt than honor killing.

Do watch out this Sunday’s episode to find out if this is really what Aamir is going to talk about!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is set to be the global face of UN girl child campaign
Elegant beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last in news regarding speculations of her attending the Cannes Festival this year. But here we have some useful update about the beauty queen. It is learnt that the actor has agreed to be a part of the United Nations’ Save the Girl Child campaign.

And it was even before Indian citizens and state governments went hysterical over the topic of discussion on Aamir Khan’s TV show Satyamev Jayate, female foeticide, Ash was offered a chance to campaign for the girl child by United Nations Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon.

This happened at the Ambani party, to which the high-profile gentleman and various top Bollywood stars, including Aamir, were invited and after mulling it over, Ash has said ‘yes’ to being part of the campaign.

As mother to a baby girl (Aaradhya) born a few months ago (November 16), we’re sure Ash had no qualms about accepting the offer. All she must have checked is her schedule. The actor supports various other causes, including eye donation for the Eye Bank Association of India, Smile Train for children with cleft lip, and many others.

With big Bollywood stars coming forward and showing their support to the girl child, let’s just hope they are able to bring about a big change in the mindset of millions of Indians who crave a male child. And with Aishwarya leading the way, the movement could trigger a global change, too. What do you think?

About 100,000 people dialed in to chat live with Aamir Khan!
About 100,000 people dialed in to chat live with Aamir Khan
Everything about Aamir Khan is incredible and when he makes his debut on television, it again has to be very special and this is the way it has turned out to be.

It is learnt from the sources that as the first episode of the superstar's debut TV show Satyamev Jayate was aired, about 100,000 people dialed in to speak to him to initiate a serious discussion on social issues facing the nation.

Out of approximately 100,000 people who made the effort of calling in to share their views about the show through the Airtel Talk2me, only around 10 or 11 were actually able to speak to Aamir due to time constraints, said a source from telecom company Airtel, which is facilitating the SMS and dial-in procedures for Satyamev Jayate. Revenue from each SMS will be donated to charity.

Nevertheless, Aamir engaged in quality discussions with the callers. He shared views on social activist Anna Hazare's movement against corruption, took up issues regarding female foeticide - the doctors who conduct sex determination tests and abort the girl child, and how the medical system of the country fails to take any action against such law breakers.

Though a lot of people tuned in to watch the show, and subsequently took to social networking platforms to share their views on it, Aamir says Television Rating Points (TRPs) do not matter.

Overwhelming response to the show crashed the website of Satyamev Jayate

Overwhelming response to the show crashed the website of Satyamev Jayate!

Overwhelming response to the show crashed the website of Satyamev Jayate
Satyamev Jayate…truth alone prevails, a reality based Aamir Khan’s maiden TV show took off amidst much fanfare on May 6.

With Aamir governing things, it was expected that the show will make it big but no one had ever thought that it will open up to such an immense response thereby making the website of the show get crashed because of the huge traffic. Sources say that the official website Satyamevjayate.in dosed down within minutes of the show’s end.

However, the management made it a point to acknowledge the fans posting the message, “Thank you for your overwhelming response to Satyamev Jayate. Unfortunately our servers have crashed due to the traffic, will be back soon.

While on one hand, Aamir and his team is enjoying the vast success, there is something brewing at the other end which might not be that amusing. Buzz states that the much praised title track of Satyamev Jayate composed by Ram Sampath has got into the copyright issue. Renowned singer Palash Sen is said to have accused it for its resemblance to one of his compositions.

According to source, Sen claims that the chorus of the song Satyamev Jayate is exactly the same as the chants in his song, which also was named Satyamev Jayate from his second album Phir Dhoom.

Though Aamir hasn’t bothered to react over this but the success coming the show’s way definitely won’t get affected by such asserts.

Much-awaited Aamir Khan's debut show Satyamev Jayate banned in Karnataka
We all know that when Aamir Khan takes up a work, he puts all his efforts in fulfilling it with perfection and that is the reason he is termed as Mr. Perfectionist of tinsel town.

We all know that since last few months Aamir is busy with his television debut show Satyamev Jayate and for the promotions of it he even postponed the release of his much-awaited film Talaash, which will now be released in December.

Hence the excitement of Aamir regarding this show is very much visible but sadly the actor has got a slight blow with his show, which is set to air on soon, being banned in Karnataka. Yes, the Karnataka junta will be devoid of seeing the much awaited TV serial of Aamir Khan Satyamev Jayate. Set to air on May 6th, Aamir Khan's much touted TV debut Satyamev Jayate will not be aired in Karnataka in a state wise self-imposed ban.

The State of Karnataka has banned the airing of Satyamev Jayate due to the policy of the state to ban all dubbed serials or movies in the state. The Kannada Film Industry only approves Kannada remakes of serials and movies in any other language, but not the dubbed ones.

Although the state public is not at all happy with the decision and say that the serial should be aired in all languages and made available to them as well!

We wonder what Aamir could do a little for his fans in the state!

Aamir Khan ignores conversation about Shahrukh Khan!
Aamir Khan ignores conversation about Shahrukh Khan
Dost turning dushman is nothing new in Bollywood as it sets best example in this regard. One can remember that one upon a time the three big Khans of Bollywood, i.e. Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan used to be great fans, but circumstances put them apart from each other.

And now Salman Khan doesn't leave an opportunity to take on Shah Rukh but Aamir Khan loves to ignore him. The actor, who is set to make his television debut, avoided talking about Shah Rukh at a recent press conference.

Aamir's first ever television reality show, Satyamev Jayate goes on air from May 6. The actor is certainly kicked about the show on which he has been working since the last two years. Aamir at a press conference praised all his colleagues who made it big on the small screen.

He said, "I loved Amitabhji's Kaun Banega Crorepati, Hrithik's dance show. I haven't seen Bigg Boss but Salman's Dus Ka Dum. I enjoyed watching these shows." Aamir smartly avoided any opinion on Shah Rukh Khan's TV histrionics, be it the third season of KBC or even Zor Ka Jhatka, or Kya Aap Panchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?

Well, here it seems clear that reunion is no sooner happening!

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign!

Aamir Khan's debut TV show plans Rs 6.25 crore promo campaign
Aamir Khan has earned the tag of perfectionist in Bollywood with his sheer hard work and dedication as this actor leaves no mark in making his work do the talking, whether it applies to his films or say his much-awaited debut Television show!

Considering the kind of benchmarks Aamir Khan has set as far his films are concerned, it seems he doesn't want to make any compromise for his debut television show as well.

The channel, on which his show Satyamev Jayate will be aired, had apparently blocked all the 2,000 slots for the broadcaster's promos in 27 hours -- totally valued at Rs 6.25 crore. It is learnt that while this is a one-day exercise, it's more than the money spent on any other celebrity-hosted show on any given day.

Although Aamir is known for the manner in which he markets his big screen projects, a source associated with the production said that the promo was his baby too.

Grapevine is abuzz, 2,000 promo slots from Monday to Tuesday, across all the broadcasters' channels, were booked for Aamir's show. The source said, "From these slots, if one were to translate the airtime into revenue, it's worth Rs 6.25 crore," adding that this is the highest ever for any star show.

We are eagerly waiting for the show, can’t resist anymore
