 This year simply seems to be lucky for our TV stars, first it was Pavitra Rishta fame Sushant Singh Rajput who got signed for Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Poche.

Then we heard of TV heartthrob Barun Sobti aka Arnav Singh Rayzada from Star Plus’ Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon moving towards the greener pastures with Main Aur Mr. Right (trust us his absence from the show is killing many a hearts). And now the latest entrants in the list happen to be Mohit Sehgal and Kunal Verma.

Mohit, as all know, shot to fame playing the cool Samrat in Miley Jab Hum Tum. Ever since the show went off air, his fans had been eagerly waiting for his return and all had revered his return with Khamoshiyan. But now that he has signed the film, the show would start a little later.

Kunal on the other end was seen in Colors’ Havan; sources say that the two have been signed in for a romcom, Family Aa Rahi Hai, produced by Friday Russh Motion Pictures. The plot of the film deals with the struggles and tribulations of bachelors to find an accommodation in Mumbai. New faces Raina and Manmeet will play the female leads in the film.     

As heard from reliable sources, Mohit has already commenced shooting for the film. We don’t know who the lucky factor behind Kunal bagging the project is but for Mohit we can certainly raise the fingers at his real life lover Sanaya Irani; as a matter of fact even Barun can call her the lucky charm as she is his co-star in IPKKND! Isn’t it?

Anyway, here’s wishing all three of them good luck with their respective films!

We know you all are aware of the handsome hunk Mohit Sehgal playing the lead role in Star Plus’ soon to be aired daily Khamoshiyan helmed by Trilogy Krikos and Shakti Anand-Sai Deodhar's production house.

But what may sound news to you is the fact that the show has all the chances of bringing in two leads. The show will see two leads; one character is of a well-educated person who is living the life of a farmer, while the other one will be of a polished guy.

If believe the sources then actor Shakti Anand is going to play the role of the simpleton. Shakti, who has turned producer with this show, has given the look test and if all goes as planned then he will essay the character of Garv, a guy with a rough look. And Mohit on the other end will play the smart looking Nikhil.     

When sources got in touch with Shakti, he rebuked the news and said, "I am just the producer on the show. I am not acting. I do not know from where you got this news."

So far we have come to know that Suchitra Bhandekar, Bharti Achrekar, Shruti Ulfat, Suhas Joshi, and Sharad Ponkshe are part of the huge cast.

Whenever a producer comes up with a new project people start speculating about the start cast and this is what is being faced by Trilogy Krikos’ and Thoughtrain Entertainment’s Khamoshiyan to be aired on Star Plus.

Ever since they have announced the show, people have been talking a lot about its star cast. As updated last, TV’s heartthrob Mohit Sehgal last seen in Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One and Shruti Ulfat with the fame of Sasural Genda Phool, have signed the dotted lines. While Mohit will play the male lead, Shruti will play his mother.

And the latest one to join them on board is Suchitra Bandekar. Buzz states that she will be the female lead’s sixty year old bua. The shooting for the show is expected to begin by end of May in Kolhapur and the team will fly off to UK in June (2012).

When contacted Suchitra Bandekar she confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am doing the show. It is a very strong character and this is an author backed role which I am doing in a Hindi daily soap for the first time.”

Star Plus' upcoming show, titled Kuch Kehti Hain Ye Khamoshiyan produced by Trilogy in association with Shakti Anand’s Sai Deodar's production house has managed to win attention by lot of rumors being associated with its launch.

There were rumors about the show’s lead Mohit Sehgal opting out of the show due to some issues with the production house, but for now the buzz is that the actor is indeed a part of the show. A reliable source informs, “Mohit has signed the dotted line and will start shooting soon. He had some issue with the contract but never opted out of the show,”

Moreover, many big names have also been decided to be a part of the drama, which includes Suhas Joshi and Sharad Ponkse (from Marathi television industry). Talking about the roles, sources said that Suhas will be seen portraying one of the elders of the family, while Sharad will be the head of the family.

The role of Sharad was earlier given to Ravindra Laxman, but ultimately it landed up with Sharad only. On being contacted, Sharad said, “Yes, I am doing this show and would probably start shooting from 20th of May (2012).”

If we talk about the couples in television industry, then Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani does stands out as one of the most lovable pairings.

Their chemistry in Miley Jab Hum Tum (Star One) was adored by one and all, and now days Sanaya is winning hearts with her portrayal as Khushi in Star Plus Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. While the Punjabi munda from Delhi, Mohit is now looking forward to a new show for which he might commence shooting from the first week of May, 2012.

“I can’t say much for I have yet to sign the dotted line. All I will reveal is that it is on a popular channel and I just love the script,” reveals Mohit. So, if talk about work, is Mohit uncomfortable with Sanaya doing intimate scenes in her show? And the answer is in negative.

“No, I know it’s her work. I never force my decisions down her throat. She will have to take her own call. I won’t be there to monitor the scene but you never know I just might turn up at set as part of a normal road trip. We trust each other fully and are not insecure about our partners working with good-looking guys or gals,” he ends.

 The sabbatical for Mohit Sehgal fondly remembered as the fun loving Samrat from Star One’s Miley jab Hum Tum doesn’t seem to be getting over.

It was reported that Mohit has been signed for a TV show titled Khamoshiyan. The show is said to be aired on Star Plus and has Mohit playing an NRI in the daily. Reports even stated that the makers have introduced a new face opposite Mohit as the female lead.

However, it’s been quite long that the news has made its way but we haven’t yet heard anything beyond this. Neither the channel has made any confirmation about its launch nor are the makers bringing out any further updates. And if the recent buzz is to be believed then the story sounds quite different.

As per a source, “Mohit Sehgal who was finalized to play the main lead in the show might not end up doing the show. After shooting the pilot, some budget issues crept up and Mohit and Production House are trying to sort out the same. We also hear that the channel is looking for another option."

And when Mohit was contacted to know his side, he stated, “I haven't signed anything, and have not even confirmed. Talks are still on and things go according to plan I will do the show. However, I cannot comment right now."

He won lots of hearts playing the fun loving and super cool Samrat in Star One’s youth based show Miley Jab Hum Tum.

But the actor was found missing from limelight as soon as MJHT got over. In between, there was a buzz which talked of Mohit making a comeback via fiction shows. However, nothing was heard much about it later. Well, if you too had been eagerly waiting for Mohit’s return then this piece of news is surely going to delight you all.

It has been learnt from insiders that Mohit’s comeback tool is going to be Star Plus’ Khamoshiyan, which will showcase a much mature love tale. Buzz has it that this show will go live once IPL 5 gets over as the makers don’t want to compromise with the ratings of it. Mohit too is quite keen about the show and while talking to the sources about it he shared, “It is a dramatic love story based on an NRI who is from London. It is a fast paced, crisp story that I believe will strike a chord with the audience”.

When quizzed about how the character in Khamoshiyan differs from Samrat of Miley…, he stated, "Playing Samrat was a dream but the character I play here is totally different. As an actor you want to push your boundaries and try and essay different characters. I look forward to playing some challenging roles in future as well”.
