Puru Chibber quits while Vikrant Massey enters Pavitra Rishta
Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta is going through some changes regarding the actors in the show. We are sure you must have been missing the presence of Sachin (Puru Chibber) from the tale.

And as per the reliable source, it is learned that something fishy might be cropping up on the tables of the creatives. An insider reveals that Puru, who gained popularity via Khotey Sikkey, had put down his papers and is currently serving his notice period. Source also informed that he went on to talk to the creatives and told them that he is not happy with the way his track was shaping up. Hence, he chose to move on.

When got in touch with Puru, his notions were clear about his planning, he said, “I don’t want to say anything. I just want to say that my track is currently not on in Pavitra Rishta.”  It’s understood Puru, in these matters, it’s difficult to come on record.

Apart from Puru’s exit, we have come to know about one more development in the show. it is said that Vikrant Massey, who rose to the fame with Baba Aiso Var Dhoondo and Balika Vadhu has been brought on board to play the role of Soham in Pavitra Rishta. “Yeh, talks are on but I am yet to sign the dotted line. I will confirm in the coming days.” states the actor.

Show is up for some major drama it seems!

Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV

Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV!

Pavitra Rishta completes three years of run on Zee TV
The world of entertainment is ruled by competition and in order to prove your worth, you have to beat the other one in the race.

And when it comes to television then this desire of being the best exists among all. With loads of TV shows running on different channels, it has really become difficult for us as viewers to make the right choice. More importantly, it has become tougher for the makers to beat the heat and sustain for long.

On one hand where shows hardly get to breathe for a year, we have Balaji Telefilms’ long running and still a successful one to be precise, Pavitra Rishta, which has completed its three years of existence today i.e. June 1, 2012. This apparently has called for a huge celebration for the whole of Pavitra Rishta team. The show based on the lives of two simpletons, Manav (inclusive of both Hiten Tejwani as present one and Sushant Singh Rajput as the older one) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) has been ruling the roost since its start.

Even the leap introduced of late was also welcomed openly and the young lot too is doing a great job. Usha Nadkarni who essays the role of Savita Taai shared her happiness saying, “Yes, Pavitra Rishta is my baby, and it feels nice to see that the show has completed 3 years. I still remember the day when I entered the show. It has been fun playing the character of Savita.”

Congratulations to the whole team and we just hope they keep bagging love of their fans this way!

Although she was upset about not being able to go home, she was quite happy to be in Delhi and told the sources about how she always shops in the street markets here. "I love Delhi, especially shopping in Sarojini Nagar and Lajpat Nagar," she said.

On being asked will she shop there this time too, she said "This time round, our schedule is such that I won't be able to go shopping. My co-star Rithwik Mahesh Dhanjani is also enjoying this Delhi trip. It's the first time he's come to Delhi”.

When asked whether she wants to go for night out party with co-star Rithwik and Prachi Pathak , Asha said, "I would love to go as I love dancing and also would like to see how Delhi's nightlife is."

Zee TV to merge three of its shows to create entertainment blast

Zee TV to merge three of its shows to create entertainment blast
Zee TV to merge three of its shows to create entertainment blast!

In the race of entertainment, crossover episodes are slowly and steadily emerging as one of the widely used trends.  In a rather interesting conceptual development, the storylines of two or more same shows will bring them together.

Last we saw how Zee TV gave the viewers an integration episode in Choti Bahu and Pavitra Rishta to introduce the leads Rupal Tyagi and Mahima Makwana of their new show, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke produced by Shakuntalam Telefilms.

The buzz has it that the channel now plans yet another Mahasangam episode, this time with Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta, Rajshri Productions’ Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Trilogy Krikos’ Hitler Didi. If source is to be believed this integration episode will be shot on the sets of Pavitra Rishta, and will be aired on 28 May 2012. For a change, the episode will not revolve around any major drama; rather the channel is focusing on light-hearted comedy to impress the viewers.

The humorous track for this particular episode is presently being worked upon, and the shoot will take place very soon. When contacted, Suhasi Dhami, the protagonist of YMGGK about the humorous track she said, “Yes I have heard about the Mahasangam episode, but I have not started to shoot yet. All I can tell you is that it will be a light-hearted episode unlike our last integration episode where I had to cry a lot.”

Hope it happens to be an entertaining one!

I am not into material pursuits, claims Ankita Lokhande
Ankita Lokhande has won many hearts as Archana in the show Pavitra Rishta and she is still doing so. The long-running show is still at its peak and high on TRPs and one just love to watch Ankita in her on-screen role.

Even though Ankita feels she is content with what she has achieved in her life so far, the fire in the belly becomes obvious as the actress talks about her penchant to stay focused on her career dreams.

Hailing from a middle class family in Indore, Ankita decided to take the uncharted territory and make it big in the world of glam. Talking about her show, she tells, "I feel overjoyed by the fact that people love me so much. Both Manav and Archana are strong characters and now when their children are taking a lead in the storyline, I expect the same to click with the fans too," says Ankita.

The girl is also known for her relationship with actor Sushant Singh Rajput, her former co-star in the show. A very satisfied Ankita says, "I am not into material pursuits. I am content with whatever is happening in my life - the kind of lifestyle I am leading and the way my career is shaping up. I've got a wonderful boyfriend. So I do not have any other thing to long for."

Well, that is really good way of living!

Failures don't scare me, says Sushant Singh Rajput

Failures don't scare me, says Sushant Singh Rajput!
Failures don't scare me, says Sushant Singh Rajput
The glamour and glitz of big screen always tend to allure the outsiders and even the TV actors wait for the right opportunity to get a switch from daily soaps to films.

While everyone follows the trend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput is nowhere an exception. In order to make it big in Bollywood, Sushant took, what one can call, the biggest risk of his career. The actor, who shot to fame with his on-screen character Manav from Pavitra Rishta, opted out of the daily thus inviting criticism and bash from all ends.

However, Sushant is not at all worried and has no regrets over his decision. On the contrary, a rather confident Sushant says, "I have worked for four years in theatre, two years in TV and now at 26, I am doing my first film. I think it is just the medium that changes as an actor. You remain the same, you either work from your heart or you don't. I don't have the fear of failure."

Talking of his changed look for the film, he stated, "I just got the six packs by chance. My film's character does not belong to a rich family, and so I had to look lean. I maintain my physique by playing three hours of cricket in the morning. I do cardio and functional exercise for one and a half hour. I eat eight meals in a day, but I maintain a strict diet - I eat boiled food with no salt and oil."

We admire your confidence Sushant and just hope that you get paid the right way!

Mithil Jain opts out of Pavitra Rishta
Television industry is one place where promises are seldom kept, and another victim of it is our own Mithil Jain who so far was seen playing Punni's fiancé in Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV.

Now the buzz is that the actor is certainly not happy with his role. Sources say that Mithil is highly disappointed with the way his character has been sidelined contrary to what he was promised before he started shooting for the same.

He was assured by the production house that his role will be an important one, but unfortunately he is not finding his character that important in the show, as a result of which he has decided to quit the show.

The actor is said to be shooing for the production house for past 2 months but still no contract has been signed. When sources tried contacting Mithil to further enlighten the news, he said, “Yes, I am leaving the show due to some personal reason which I don't want to disclose”.

Well, let’s see who steps in as his replacement!

Manav and DK will announce Arjun-Ovi's engagement in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta
While on one hand we saw Purvi (Asha Negi) confessing her love to Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani), the latest update talks of a major twist set to happen in the lives of the two love birds.

Buzz states that Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta produced by Ekta Kapoors’s Balaji Telefilms is all set to witness a high pitched drama. As seen, Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and DK (Naved Aslam) have arranged for a surprise party for Arjun, who is unbeknownst of Ovi’s (Shruti Kanwar) return to India.

Sources say that coming episodes will see Manav and DK announcing the engagement of Arjun and Ovi at the party. This will come as a shocker for both Arjun and Purvi, who have confessed love for each other. On the other hand, it will be an emotional moment for Archana (Ankita Lokhande) as she will get to see her daughter Ovi after 18 long years.

Hiten Tejwani confirmed the news and stated, “Yes, Manav and his boss will organize a party in which they will go on to announce Arjun-Ovi’s engagement. The fathers are unaware of Purvi-Arjun being in love. It is now to be seen how the story unfolds”.

It would be interesting to see how things will shape up now. Will Arjun tell everyone about his love for Purvi? Will Archana stand by Purvi after learning the truth? Stay tuned to find out all these answers!

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story!

Sushant Singh Rajput was offered lead role in Hate Story
Had everything fallen at the right place then Vikram Bhatt’s Hate Story might have proved the launch pad for TV heartthrob Sushant Singh Rajput aka the once upon a time Manav of Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta.

Buzz states that while Sushant was a part of the daily he was offered the lead role in Hate Story, however, things couldn’t materialize and the actor opted out of it. As per a source, “Sushant was approached to play main lead for the movie Hate Story. Ankita Lokhande aka Archana was heard telling on the sets that Sushant was offered the movie but Ekta Kapoor requested Sushant to stay back and continue with his role as Manav, till the time she managed to find replacement for him. Ankita laughed and thanked god that Sushant didn't take up the role."

When Sushant was approached by the sources he refused to make any sort of comment on the same. Meanwhile, it is notable that Sushant had decided to back out of Pavitra Rishta as he was willing to try his luck in Bollywood and also aimed at dabbling at direction.

Recently, we had even heard Sushant being offered a role in Rock On fame director Abhishek Kapoor’s next based on Chetan Bhagat’s 3 Mistakes of My Life.

Let’s see which film actually sees the actor making his foray into films!

Purvi to admit her love for Arjun in Pavitra Rishta!

purvi to admit love to arjun in pavitra rista on zee tv
It’s been quite a few days that audiences are eagerly waiting for the love track to blossom between TV’s new couple, Purvi (Asha Negi) and Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) from Zee TV’s Pavitra Rishta.

As seen last, Arjun had confessed his love before Purvi but only to get rejected from his ladylove. Purvi told him that the two belong to completely different families and hence love can never be a connecting link for them. However, she will soon have a heart change and will start realizing her feelings for Arjun.

Meanwhile, Arjun, who is now left heartbroken, will plan to fly back to Canada. However, this is where the major drama will take place. Purvi will decide to accept his love and will turn up at the airport and prevent Arjun from leaving.

But as always, this love story too will face some hardships. Sources say that Ovi (Shruti Kanwar), who is also in love with Arjun, will never approve of his love with Purvi. She will be seen creating troubles for the couple in near future.

On being contacted, Rithvik said, “Yes, there will be an interesting revelation happening in the show. But I can’t comment anything as it will spoil the interest of the viewers.”

Well, let’s see how things take a twist in the lives of Arjun, Purvi and Ovi!

Ankita Lokhande enters into a tiff with the director of YMGGK

Ankita Lokhande

Ankita Lokhande enters into a tiff with the director of YMGGK

If someone says that an actor had a fight on the sets, and later if everyone denies of such a happening, that doesn’t really mean that a tiff never really happened. So what are we trying to exactly imply? Well, just relax, grab a bucket of popcorn and read. Telly wrote the news about the drama-injected crossover episode between Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta and Rajshri Productions’ Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (YMGGK). Both the shows air on Zee TV. The episode was indeed well scripted, but here’s some spicy “off screen” news.
We have learned that Ankita Lokhande aka Archana of Pavitra Rishta, entered into a tiff with the director of YMGGK, Amit Gupta. A source informed that the actor and the director had creative differences, which led to an argument and the director resorted to shouting at Ankita. Ankita too was left fuming and even threatened to quit shooting and leave the sets. But later she was calmed down by some production people from Balaji Telefilms.
Telly got in touch with Ankita, and asked her about the incident. This is what she had to say, “I was working with Rajshri Productions, not Balaji, and they have a different style of functioning. So when you visit a new set, it takes time to adjust. I was not really convinced as an actor with the way the director told me to enact the scenes. So it was not really an argument but just a misunderstanding. These things happen in the industry.”
Well, Ankita, we know it’s not your fault but the ever-rising temperatures in Mumbai. Time to have some nimboo paani, we guess (wink, wink)

Pavitra Rishta is pulling up TRPs

Hiten Tejwani is glad that Pavitra Rishta is pulling up TRPs!

Pavitra Rishta is pulling up TRPs
The IPL 5 may have made many CVs take a backseat and entertain the masses with fillers in their respective shows and must have even brought a gloomy affair for all but it’s certainly not the case with actor Hiten Tejwani and his show Pavitra Rishta.

Despite the IPL fever running high, Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta aired on Zee TV is doing pretty well and has scored a TRP of 3.1. Hiten, who plays Manav in the daily, is simply thrilled by the same. Talking to the sources he said, “I am happy and I don’t think there is any magic formula behind getting numbers during IPL”.

He further added, “Audiences for cricket and fiction are different and loyal. Viewers of any show will come back, even during cricket season, if the content is good. What I think has worked is that we have not played with the basic plot like others do in fear of IPL. There were no forced high points or unnecessary drama which I believe actually alienates the audience rather than endearing them.”

Television was never really my final destination, avers Rithvik Dhanjani

Television was never really my final destination, avers Rithvik Dhanjani!

Television was never really my final destination, avers Rithvik Dhanjani
Rithvik Dhanjani began his television journey as a lovelorn werewolf in Pyaar Ki Yeh Ek Kahaani, and now he is back again on the small screen as Arjun in his new show Pavitra Rishta following the leap.

Earlier he has tried his hands in dance, modeling and featuring in a number of television commercials, but eventually found his feet in the showbiz industry. He admits that it has always been his dream to be in the entertainment industry. "I was never cut out for a desk job," he swans.

Although, he always wanted to be an actor, television was never really the final destination. He says, "I never wanted to do television. But then I was offered the role of Jeh Khurana in Pyaar Kii Yeh Ek Kahaani. Ekta had immense trust in me and it was my responsibility to do justice to the character."

Even though he is just two shows old in the industry, Rithvik feels strongly about the entertainment industry. "All shows that are screened today are over dramatic. But that is what works. These daily soaps are not just a medium of story-telling. Their primary motive is to entertain the audience. People who do not like these shows should watch art movies," he says.

Well, now it has to be seen if people follow his advice or not!
