Movers and Shakers on SAB TV is all set to go off air on 22 June
Shekhar Suman’s charming and subtle histrionics show Movers and Shakers has not managed to impress viewers till date and rather than galloping it was left limping in the race of TRPs. This SAB TV’S sitcom has packed its bag and will last air on 22 June 2012.

Already this show has been shifted to the 7 pm slot from Monday (18 June) night. This standup comedy series had first been shunted from 10.30 to 11pm and the original producer Runway Productions was also replaced by Optimystix Entertainment.

Producer Vipul Shah from Optimystix confirmed the “off air” development” stating, “We are taking a seasonal break and might return by the year end with season 2.”

When asked to comment on the lower ratings, he said, “Channel was quite happy with the average 0.6-0.7 TVR and we even touched 1 at times. Furthermore, on the face humor, satire and personal jokes were not part of regular SAB family comic fare so they were happy with these above numbers at the late night slot and hence mostly the show will also return with the same title sponsor. This also reflects that the market is also happy with the response.”

SAB TV’s show, Movers and Shakers has been quite popular among the audience since its start. The comedy based show is being hosted the television renowned personality Shekhar Suman.

In an upcoming show, eminent singer Sudesh Bhosale will be seen as the guest celebrity. When source asked him about his experience on the show, he said “It was great fun shooting for the show and we had a blast. I have also been associated with Shekhar in season one of the series. We spoke about how my journey began in this industry and how were my initial days. We also did a lot of mimicry. I imitated many eminent actors like Asrani, Amitabh Bacchan, Shatrughan Sinha and also sang songs,”

He further added, “It was fun over all. We did gags, mimicry, standup comedy and sang songs, everything.”At the professional front, the man of notes said that he has sung a song for Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming movie Bol Bachchan for Himesh Reshmiyya and also in Ram Gopal Verma’s next Department.

Well, it’s good to see you on screen after a long time.

A lot of hype was created in the media as seasoned film and TV actor Shekhar Suman came back with his cult show, Movers and Shakers on SAB TV helmed by Sailesh Dave’s Runway Productions.

But to the disappointment of all, the show couldn’t bag the desired numbers as it was expected. And if you think that this must have brought Shekhar’s morale down then you are totally wrong. Though he is a bit distressed but the makers are looking ahead to bring in some changes in the concept to top the number chart!

Sources say that the production house has undergone a change of hands and Optimystix has replaced Runway Productions. It is notable that Optimystix is doing strong with two of its shows Saas Bina Sasural and Comedy Circus, both aired on Sony TV. Buzz has it that this decision followed a meeting held with producer Vipul Shah of Optimystix and the channel officials.

And it’s not just a new production house for the show but it has got a new name too. From now on it will be called Movers and Shakers… Masala Markey. Producer Vipul Shah said, “As of now Movers and Shakers is our show. We have planned something big with the series and accordingly we have also changed the title of it.”

He further added, “The basic format will remain the same but we have planned to make it spicier, funnier and it will have something which will connect to the masses.”

So from next week onwards don’t get surprised if Shekhar says, ‘Welcome to Movers and Shakers…Masala Markey’

There is no doubt over the mesmerizing screen presence that the sexy inspector, Chandramukhi Chautala aka Kavita Kaushik has. And it just doubles when she joins the very talented Shekhar Suman on SAB TV’s Movers and Shakers 2.

Yes, you have heard it all correct. This Thursday, that’s April 19, 2012, you’ll see Kavita on the sets of Movers and Shakers. Talking of her stint in the show, a source said, “Shekhar was in for a shock when he was sharing entertaining jokes on cops and firebrand police officer Chandramukhi Chautala heard him and the noise coming from the sets. As per duty call, she decided to take him into custody”.

She will even be seen boasting that she had once arrested Saif Ali Khan was also partying till wee hours and when the cops questioned him Saif told them to relax and enjoy the feel of the party. Reacting to her antics, Shekhar said, “Mujhe vardi se darr lagta hai,” and requested Kavita, “agar aap Chandramukhi ki jagah Madhubala banegi toh main aapse baat kaar sakta hun.”

Kavita Kaushik revealed her true side and even spoke in a Haryanvi accent in a western outfit. Her impulsiveness left Shekhar impressed as audiences gasped for more. On the other hand, Shekhar too in his true style bowled some googlies when he threw an impromptu quiz about cops.

All in all, her presence in the show was a treat to be watched. So don’t forget to catch Miss Chautala this Thursday.

Tellybuzz has reported that 24 Frames' new offering for Colors Chhal..Sheh aur Maat is set to surface soon. With names like Karan Goddwani, Hunar Hali already locked in, the latest to join the cast is Dev Keswani who was last seen in Sahara One's Subha Kadam.

According to our source , " Dev Keswani will play the character Karan, a fun loving guy but at the same time very responsible towards his family. Karan's character has different shades.Initially, he will enter as main lead Abhishek Malik's friend but later on it will be revealed that he is his younger brother.  Karan will do everything that his brother tells him to do."

We contacted Dev who confirmed the news, " Yes, I am a part of the show but can't divulge the details about my character. It's an interesting one and you will have to wait and watch."

As TellyBuzz exclusively reported, the show will focus on a social evil prevailing in Madhya Pradesh. It discusses a certain custom wherein daughters born in the family are forced to go through a ritual wherein they get sold to rich Thakurs, who derive pleasure by being with the teenage girls.

As per our source, "Narayani Shastri will essay the role of a girl who gets sold to a Thakur. Varun Badola has been tipped to play the main negative lead in the show. Presently, he is in talks to play the role of the Thakur who forcibly weds Narayani Shastri. However, Varun has apparently got another plump role in his kitty, that of the main negative lead in Star Plus' latest offering, Sajda Tere Pyar Mein. It's now to be seen whether Varun becomes the next big baddie on Star Plus or Zee TV."
