Falaq Naaz, who was earlier zeroed in for Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, has now changed her mind and has switched the option to act on small screen.

She would now be seen in Khamoshiyan on Star Plus. Falaq is currently seen on Sony TV’s Dekha Ek Khwaab as Tara. She was roped in for Pratigya to essay the role of a village belle as Shakun who would be placed against Mohit Malik.

Falaq has already done the shows like Peehar, Tere Mere Sapne, Nach Le Ve and Gunaho Ka Devta as a parallel lead.

She confirmed the buzz when contacted by stating, "I play a very interesting character on the show. It's a huge platform and I'm glad to be a part of it. I will start shooting my sequences soon. The unit will be shooting in Kolhapur from 25th June to 5th July (2012). I will be joining them shortly there".

We know you all are aware of the handsome hunk Mohit Sehgal playing the lead role in Star Plus’ soon to be aired daily Khamoshiyan helmed by Trilogy Krikos and Shakti Anand-Sai Deodhar's production house.

But what may sound news to you is the fact that the show has all the chances of bringing in two leads. The show will see two leads; one character is of a well-educated person who is living the life of a farmer, while the other one will be of a polished guy.

If believe the sources then actor Shakti Anand is going to play the role of the simpleton. Shakti, who has turned producer with this show, has given the look test and if all goes as planned then he will essay the character of Garv, a guy with a rough look. And Mohit on the other end will play the smart looking Nikhil.     

When sources got in touch with Shakti, he rebuked the news and said, "I am just the producer on the show. I am not acting. I do not know from where you got this news."

So far we have come to know that Suchitra Bhandekar, Bharti Achrekar, Shruti Ulfat, Suhas Joshi, and Sharad Ponkshe are part of the huge cast.

Whenever a producer comes up with a new project people start speculating about the start cast and this is what is being faced by Trilogy Krikos’ and Thoughtrain Entertainment’s Khamoshiyan to be aired on Star Plus.

Ever since they have announced the show, people have been talking a lot about its star cast. As updated last, TV’s heartthrob Mohit Sehgal last seen in Miley Jab Hum Tum on Star One and Shruti Ulfat with the fame of Sasural Genda Phool, have signed the dotted lines. While Mohit will play the male lead, Shruti will play his mother.

And the latest one to join them on board is Suchitra Bandekar. Buzz states that she will be the female lead’s sixty year old bua. The shooting for the show is expected to begin by end of May in Kolhapur and the team will fly off to UK in June (2012).

When contacted Suchitra Bandekar she confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am doing the show. It is a very strong character and this is an author backed role which I am doing in a Hindi daily soap for the first time.”

 The sabbatical for Mohit Sehgal fondly remembered as the fun loving Samrat from Star One’s Miley jab Hum Tum doesn’t seem to be getting over.

It was reported that Mohit has been signed for a TV show titled Khamoshiyan. The show is said to be aired on Star Plus and has Mohit playing an NRI in the daily. Reports even stated that the makers have introduced a new face opposite Mohit as the female lead.

However, it’s been quite long that the news has made its way but we haven’t yet heard anything beyond this. Neither the channel has made any confirmation about its launch nor are the makers bringing out any further updates. And if the recent buzz is to be believed then the story sounds quite different.

As per a source, “Mohit Sehgal who was finalized to play the main lead in the show might not end up doing the show. After shooting the pilot, some budget issues crept up and Mohit and Production House are trying to sort out the same. We also hear that the channel is looking for another option."

And when Mohit was contacted to know his side, he stated, “I haven't signed anything, and have not even confirmed. Talks are still on and things go according to plan I will do the show. However, I cannot comment right now."

All his fans are eagerly waiting for him to make a comeback. Hope everyone involved with the show will soon break their killing silence!

He won lots of hearts playing the fun loving and super cool Samrat in Star One’s youth based show Miley Jab Hum Tum.

But the actor was found missing from limelight as soon as MJHT got over. In between, there was a buzz which talked of Mohit making a comeback via fiction shows. However, nothing was heard much about it later. Well, if you too had been eagerly waiting for Mohit’s return then this piece of news is surely going to delight you all.

It has been learnt from insiders that Mohit’s comeback tool is going to be Star Plus’ Khamoshiyan, which will showcase a much mature love tale. Buzz has it that this show will go live once IPL 5 gets over as the makers don’t want to compromise with the ratings of it. Mohit too is quite keen about the show and while talking to the sources about it he shared, “It is a dramatic love story based on an NRI who is from London. It is a fast paced, crisp story that I believe will strike a chord with the audience”.

When quizzed about how the character in Khamoshiyan differs from Samrat of Miley…, he stated, "Playing Samrat was a dream but the character I play here is totally different. As an actor you want to push your boundaries and try and essay different characters. I look forward to playing some challenging roles in future as well”.
