Esha Gupta doesn't compare herself with Bipasha Basu

Esha Gupta doesn't compare herself with Bipasha Basu!Coming together of two sexy actresses in the same frame is bound to fetch attention from everyone around, not for their work but terms off screen.

And the current talks are going on for Esha Gupta and Bong beauty Bipasha Basu. It is notable that post making her debut in town with Jannat 2, Esha is now gearing up for the thrilling Raaz 3 where she gets to share screen space with Emraan Hashmi and Bips. While people might feel that Esha is wary of Bips’ presence in the film but the former denies it completely.

Esha says, “I am pretty confident and I know where I am today. I don't want to compare myself with Bipasha. Even when we are sharing screen space, the only thing that I make sure is that I don't lack anywhere”. Though she admits sharing screen space with established actors like Emraan and Bipasha did put some pressure on her.

"I had pressure on me as Bipasha and Emraan are great actors but apart from that I didn't care so much because Bipasha is Bipasha and the whole country recognizes her. I still get shocked when people start recognizing me," she said.

She added, "For me, it (Raaz 3) was one of the best films to work in. It was a conscious effort to do this. Of course, I had pressure as I was not sure whether I will be able to pull it”.

Neha Sharma wants to take unconventional roles

Neha Sharma wants to take unconventional roles!

Neha Sharma wants to take unconventional roles
Having made Crook as her acting debut where she was a co-actor with Emraan Hashmi, newbie Neha Sharma kept getting offers and projects in her kitty. Flicks like Teri Meri Kahaani, Jayantabai ki Love story, and also sex comedy like Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, are already making Neha dipped deep in her upcoming works and projects.

Neha, who loved the role of Meera in Teri Meri Kahaani, wants to have unconventional roles in her bag. She has never made any bones or had any qualms about essaying Shahid’s girlfriend in TMK. She was heard saying, "Though it's a relatively smaller part, I did the film since I could relate to Meera. She is someone with grey shades and though she loves this guy (Shahid), she is pretty dominating and bratty. I didn't have any qualms playing such a character because all girlfriends can't really be docile. It is a normal relationship that we have depicted here, the kind that couples today share. The space which I have got into in Teri Meri Kahaani is not really filmy."

Neha further spoke, "Clichéd as it may sound, but it is not just about the length of the character that you play, it was more about the kind of girl I was bringing on screen. It is a guest appearance but I really liked portraying Meera. However, conventional isn't something for me in any case. Even Crook was hardly a quintessential love story with which I started my career. It was a dramatic tale about racism. Even Kya Super Kool Hain Hum is not conventional in any way."

We are also eager to see all shades of your acting Neha and wish you all the glory for the same.

Sonal Chauhan takes swimming lessons along with Neil Nitin Mukesh for 3G

Sonal Chauhan takes swimming lessons along with Neil Nitin Mukesh for 3G!

Sonal Chauhan takes swimming lessons along with Neil Nitin Mukesh for 3G
Sonal Chauhan, the captivating beauty who won hearts playing the love interest to Emraan Hashmi in Jannat, has been hiding out since long.

With her debut being such a major hit all were expecting Sonal to take up meaty roles but she just stood away and wasn’t seen on the celluloid. But looks like her hiatus is all over as she is gearing up for a return with a bang! As heard from closed sources in town, Sonal is now to be seen alongside Neil Nitin Mukesh in the film 3G.

The film will be shot in Fiji and the whole cast and crew will be in Fiji for about 2 months. Sources say that Sonal is really working hard for her role and is said to have just completed her swimming training and is all set to take on scuba diving as well.

Being a non-swimmer, she went through a very strict and commanded training routine for the past few months. A source said, ''What's ironic is the fact that Sonal was hydro phobic ever since she was a child and would completely avoid stepping into the water. She didn't want a stunt double to do any of her scenes and thus decided to take her fear head on. She started the initial bit of training with a world renowned scuba training instructor and will be completing the remainder of her training in Fiji. She's totally committed to making this work for her and her character.''

Hope her hard work pays back!

Emraan Hashmi doesn't want to be tagged as underdog in Bollywood

Emraan Hashmi doesn't want to be tagged as underdog in Bollywood!

Emraan Hashmi doesn't want to be tagged as underdog in Bollywood
After giving stupendous performance in his latest release Jannat 2, the star has become the most bankable actor of the tinsel town. Indeed, he is a new trendsetter in the Indian Film Industry as he started a trend of erotica with the prequel of his blockbuster hit, Murder 2.

It is known that Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi was criticised initially for playing bold characters but he never bothered the criticism and followed his own path. Consequently; today he is being recognised as an A lister of the town. If believe the industry sources, then some film critics considered him as an underdog in Bollywood but the actor is miffed on being tagged with the same label.

On being quizzed, Emraan expressed his displeasure and told the sources, “I have never given the right to industry to rate me or criticise me. Their criticism never bothered me. I am not an underdog. I have been fairly well rated by the audience”.

The serial kisser of the Bollywood town further added that he is happy to witness a bold change in the content of mainstream cinema. The actor is all set to shake the chords of the audience once again by playing a porn filmmaker in his forthcoming Shanghai, featuring Abhay Deol, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles.

Emraan, you have begun a new era of bold flicks, you are indeed a trendsetter in real terms!

Vidya Balan to play a housewife in Ghanchakkar

Vidya Balan to play a housewife in Ghanchakkar!

Vidya Balan to play a housewife in Ghanchakkar
After basking in the success of her recent consecutive hits The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, the hit machine of Bollywood, Vidya Balan is set for a new challenge.

As known, Vidya has now signed her No One Killed Jessica director Rajkumar Gupta's Ghanchakkar, where she will once again team up with her TDP co-star Emraan Hashmi. Buzz has it that this time around the sultry Silk of B’wood will go homely as she plays a housewife in Ghanchakkar.

One of the sources close to the project said, "So far the roles that have defined Vidya's career have all found her playing women placed in extraordinary circumstances. In Ghanchakkar she plays an average woman. Nothing dramatic like a murder or a mysterious disappearance happens to her in the script”.

The sources further added, "Both Rajkumar and Vidya feel that playing an ordinary woman is a special challenge for Vidya at this stage of her career when she has played a number of extraordinary characters. However, Gupta is being pressurized to modify and amplify Vidya's part”.

Talking to the sources about Emraan also being a major part of the film, Gupta said, "Emraan Hashmi has just delivered a string of hits. Ghanchakkar is not Vidya's film alone. It is Emraan's film in an equal measure. Vidya is fine with sharing the limelight”. As heard, Gupta will be shooting Ghanchakkar with Vidya on the streets of Mumbai with hidden cameras, just as he had shot with Rajeev Khandelwal for Aamir.

Looks like, we are set to watch another of a thrilling film with Vidya, Emraan and Gupta being at the helm of affairs!

Scarlett Wilson's Imported Kamariya burned the dance floor

Scarlett Wilson's Imported Kamariya burned the dance floor!
Scarlett Wilson's Imported Kamariya burned the dance floor
After watching the new item song Imported Kamaria, you are sure to forget the old Munni and Sheila. Yes, you heard it right. British model Scarlett Wilson burned the dance floor at the music launch of Dibakar Banerjee's Shanghai with her item number Imported Kamaria.

Sporting a thigh-slit red ghagra and a purple-gold shimmering choli with traditional Indian jewellery, Scarlett won the hearts of the crowd with her Imported Kamaria.

While the crowd went euphoric over her item number, director Dibakar Banerjee addressed the overwhelmed crowd saying, "It's so big and this is the first time ever I have such a big music release. I am so happy."

However, his other stars Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin were not present at the event. "Kalki and Abhay are shooting for their films and they could not make it. However I have Emraan with me today. Abhay and Kalki are busy and I did not want them to miss their shoot for my music launch. I would have said the same if they were shooting for me. I am not angry with them and instead I am happy that they are hardworking actors," Dibakar stated.

We guess that the song has given the movie all the required promotion already!

jannat2 movie review 2012

jannat2 movie review 2012
jannat 2
Director:
Kunal Deshmukh
Starring: Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta

Sex and guns. Emraan Hashmi is the champion of B-life. He's back again in a vehicle tailormade for his unique ability to look fear in the eye. Betting illegally on cricket, dealing in drugs, chasing married women, selling sex, is there a single low life activity that Hashmi has not done onscreen? Well there was running guns and that's now on his bio data too with Jannat 2. So there he is again, flirting outrageously, doing all sorts of things to make money (selling pirated CDs, illegal guns), running from the police, being generally a kutti kameeni cheez. And since it's supposed to be a Delhi film (cue to visuals of Hashmi dancing at India Gate and drinking at Ansal Plaza), every third word is the national abuse of the national capital (b...c...d) The film acquires a certain requisite tension thanks to the presence of a powerful foil to Hashmi, the underrated Randeep Hooda, an insomniac police officer with a bullet in his brain and a thing on his conscience about bringing illegal gun runners to book.

The atmosphere is not totally authentic, but the film is more about a certain type. A certain type of Delhiwala who lives off his wits, with little education but a lot of guts, who wants to get ahead in life. The movie gets the friendship unto death right with Mohammed Ayub (yes, Manu Sharma in No One Killed Jessica), the girl he falls in love with right (slightly posh, aspirational, change-the-world doctor) and the scary villain (almost, Manish Chaudhury, shedding his uber urbane image.)  Hashmi has emerged as the voice of the angry half-haves, those not poor but not rich either, who have access to view a certain kind of lifestyle, but not the means to procure it. He has army of fans among people like him. With films like this, the closet fans can come out.

Jannat 2 is not a rip-off of Lord of War, film keeps you engaged

Jannat 2 is not a rip-off of Lord of War, film keeps you engaged!

Jannat 2 is not a rip-off of Lord of War, film keeps you engaged
Before the release of Jannat 2, it was said to be the rip-off of Nicolas Cage’s Lord of War, but now as the film has released in the theatres, the truth is out in open for all to see and pass their verdict.

Though it seems as if Lord of War is present somewhere in the background but the movie is not totally based on the Hollywood hit. The film revolves around the hitherto unexplored-in-Bollywood territory of arms trafficking.

Earlier the comparisons were made because the Emraan Hashmi starrer also deals with arms and ammunition like the Hollywood one. However, this film by Kunal Deshmukh is entirely different. As always Emraan has done a fair job playing the pakka Dilli wala who has no shame in admitting himself to be a kutti kamini cheez as his name goes Sonu Dilli KKC.

Involved in the illegal trading of guns, Emraan’s character believes that this way he is making the life easier for all who wants to kill someone or the other. But his ideologies change as he finds love in Dr. Jhanvi played by Esha Gupta. This is when our hero signs a deal with ACP Pratap played by Randeep Hooda, and helps him to plunge deeper into the arms racket.

Must say that Randeep stands as a show stealer throughout the film and if Emraan is the base then Hooda is surely the backbone of this building named Jannat 2!

Surely to be watched for some thrilling moments!

Abhay Deol finds his role very challenging in Shanghai

Abhay Deol finds his role very challenging in Shanghai
Abhay Deol finds his role very challenging in Shanghai!

Bollywood actor, Abhay Deol has pinned all his hopes with his most touted forthcoming project Shanghai which is all set to hit theatres on June 8. The movie is helmed by Dibakar Banerjee and features Emraan Hashmi, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles.

Abhay is among the notable actors of the Indian film industry and is well known for his intense acting. On being quizzed about his acting skills, the actor asserted that for him, films are a mode of self satisfaction and he discovers himself through acting in the movies. Abhay has a wide perspective and he doesn’t consider box office charts as a parameter of success. He further revealed “I am exactly as I was seven years back. The only thing that has changed probably is that now I am going out and talking about my films.

I believe films are not so much about acting as they are about discovering”. Speaking about his forthcoming Shanghai, Abhay told the sources that he is very nervous as he finds his role very challenging. Moreover, this political thriller is his most difficult film ever.

Abhay your enthusiasts are eagerly waiting to see you in a complete new avatar. Hope you will repeat the success story with your next as well!

Randeep Hooda came on the sets of Jannat 2 all drunk to get his act right

Randeep Hooda came on the sets of Jannat 2 all drunk to get his act right!

Randeep Hooda came on the sets of Jannat 2 all drunk to get his act right
There are a variety of methods that actors implement to get the portrayal of the character just right. One has even had instances of actors going to their film dubbing sessions in uniform to get that kadak effect in the voice.

And getting under the skin of a character was taken one step ahead on the sets of Jannat 2 when Randeep Hooda, who plays an alcoholic policewallah in the film, actually came drunk on set every single day because he wanted the slur in his dialogue and that slight unsteadiness in his gait.

Director Kunal Deshmukh is all praise for Randeep. He says, "I truly appreciate Randeep's dedication. If you are not an alcoholic (which Randeep isn't) then it is not easy to have your first drink at 9 in the morning just to be able to stay in character. Randeep did it every day of the film set. In fact, it is one of the reasons why Randeep is so convincing on screen."

Kunal adds, "But if Randeep downed a couple of pegs of whisky each day, Emraan Hashmi did just the opposite. Though he plays a hustler and is actually a 'kutti kameeni cheez', Emi kept his wits about him. Conscious of the fact that alcohol may ruin his diet regimen, Emraan steered clear of the potent stuff. However, he couldn't resist drinking cups of hot chocolate to keep himself warm all through the winter schedule in Delhi."

Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films' Jannat 2 releases on May 4!

I would never do a film like Dabangg, claims Prosenjit Chatterjee

I would never do a film like Dabangg, claims Prosenjit Chatterjee!
I would never do a film like Dabangg, claims Prosenjit Chatterjee
Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee is a big name in Bengali film industry however, if talk about his Bollywood career then he is testing tinsel town waters once again with Dibakar Banerjee's promising new film Shanghai. The film co-stars Emraan Hashmi, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.

Prosenjit plays a charismatic politician, who is shown to be dying at the beginning of the film. But he is still a major presence in the film, as the 11 people who have witnessed his murder have their own versions of it.

The National Award-winning actor, who wowed us with Dosar and Chokher Bali earlier, also appeared in few Bollywood films for instances, Aandhiyaan, in 1989, Meet Mere Maan Ka, 1991.But his career in Bollywood was never very active nor does he wanted it that way as content with the Bengali projects coming his way.

So is there anything you dislike about Bollywood films? He says, “Not really, there’s nothing I hate about Bollywood. But honestly, I would never do a film like Dabangg. I’ve crossed that phase and I can do that in Bengal, but I don’t feel the need to do that here.”

Well, a person of his stature can speak these words and of course no one would ever mind as he has a certain reputation in the industry!

Emraan Hashmi seen going ballistic in Shanghai's new song

Emraan Hashmi seen going ballistic in Shanghai's new song!

Emraan Hashmi seen going ballistic in Shanghai's new song
Here we bring you the new song from Dibakar Banerjee’s Shanghai where Emraan Hashmi is seen going ballistic. It is known that the fan following of Emraan has gone on a huge rise ever since the super-success of The Dirty Picture.

And Shanghai is one of the most awaited films of the year and a big reason for the excitement is Emraan! We even hear that the music company is trying to sneak in a Sufi song and an intimate scene to please the fans of the serial-kisser.

If you watch this song you will realise that Emraan has gone all out to break every possible image that he has built over the years and he seems to be having a lot of fun while doing so. Bharat mata ki jai has been composed by music director-duo Vishal-Shekhar and has an anthem-like vibe to it.

Even the lyrics written by Dibakar Banerjee are quirky and sarcastically represents the state of our nation. The highlight of this catchy number is to see the Jannat 2 actor shed his inhibitions and dance like a possessed dervish along with his co-star Pitobash Tripathi.

Watch the song and tell us if Emraan’s dance reminds you of Bhiku Mhatre’s (Manoj Bajpayee) moves in the Sapne mein milti hai number in Ram Gopal Varma’s Satya!

Esha Gupta looks like Angelina Jolie, claims Mahesh Bhatt
Former beauty queen Esha Gupta is now days busy garnering attentions courtesy to her debut in much-awaited film Jannat 2 that also stars Emraan Hashmi as the male lead.

Undoubtedly the girl is very pretty and going by the promos of the films, it is clear that’s she turns out to be right choice for the role. In fact filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt is very much impressed with the beauty of the girl and compares her with none other than Hollywood hottie Angelina Jolie.

While talking to the sources recently, he said, "Esha's ethos is very Indian. She looks like Angelina Jolie but she has the flavour of India still in her. She knows that sensuality is an essential attribute of the female animal. However the mystique needs to be retained as a survival tool. Esha celebrates her feminine body and yet her ambition is rooted in real India.”

In fact the filmmaker is so much impressed with the actress that even while the shooting was Jannat 2 was going on, she was already on board for Bhatt’s next film Raaz 3. And the talks are on for her next film as well as the buzz says she has signed three films deal with Bhatts.

Well Esha, way to go!

Hate Story's bold poster to be painted blue for release in West Bengal!

Hate Story's bold poster to be painted blue for release in West Bengal
The latest news making way says that the hot-shot poster of upcoming film Hate Story will be painted blue because of apprehensions by West Bengal Board of Censorship.

Earlier the poster has created quite a stir, as it featured bare backed Paoli Dam, the star of the movie. The Calcutta High Court has upheld an order issued by the state censor board to the film's distributor, Jalan Distributors, asking that the posters be displayed only after the actress' back is painted blue.

Justice Dipankar Dutta, who upheld the order, directed the distributors and the state to file affidavits in support of their contentions. Jalan Distributors claimed that the film has already got a U/A certificate and, as such, the state government cannot ask it not to depict scenes from the film on the posters.

The state Advocate General, Anindya Mitra, opposed the plea claiming that such posters should not be displayed in public places in view of children. The film has already been in the news for its adult content. According to reports, the controversial poster has fetched over Rs 10 crores for all India theatrical rights.

Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film releases on April 20 and is a thriller revolving around Paoli's character who uses sex as a weapon of revenge.

IPL officials don't want Jannat 2 get promoted during IPL
Emraan Hashmi’s most touted upcoming project Jannat 2 has become a talk of town these days and the audience is eagerly waiting for the movie to hit theatres on May 4. However the storyline of the film is creating a stir between the producers and the IPL officials.

The latest is that the makers of Jannat 2 want to promote their film during on going Indian Premiere League but it seems their idea isn’t going well with IPL officials. As per the industry sources the producers; Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are putting their best possible efforts to promote their movie during ongoing tournament but their proposal is kept on a halt by the IPL bosses.

Perhaps the reason behind is that its prequel was based on cricket match fixing and the IPL officials are thinking that the sequel too has a similar storyline. Buzz is that, the makers have been asked for a special screening by the officials to clear the clouds of doubt. However Bhatt’s have not lost their hopes yet and denied for the screening. They told the sources “We are not giving up hope. They must understand this sequel has nothing to do with cricket. It’s about arms, urban crime and the illegal business of guns”.

Well we would like to say that where there is a will there is a way so Bhatts keep up your hopes!

Despite of IPL, all the theatres were almost full... we had almost got 100 per cent opening for Jannat. We are hoping it continues for Jannat 2 as well. We are not scared of IPL... but IPL should be scared of us.”
