A lot of hype was created in the media as seasoned film and TV actor Shekhar Suman came back with his cult show, Movers and Shakers on SAB TV helmed by Sailesh Dave’s Runway Productions.
But to the disappointment of all, the show couldn’t bag the desired numbers as it was expected. And if you think that this must have brought Shekhar’s morale down then you are totally wrong. Though he is a bit distressed but the makers are looking ahead to bring in some changes in the concept to top the number chart!
Sources say that the production house has undergone a change of hands and Optimystix has replaced Runway Productions. It is notable that Optimystix is doing strong with two of its shows Saas Bina Sasural and Comedy Circus, both aired on Sony TV. Buzz has it that this decision followed a meeting held with producer Vipul Shah of Optimystix and the channel officials.
And it’s not just a new production house for the show but it has got a new name too. From now on it will be called Movers and Shakers… Masala Markey. Producer Vipul Shah said, “As of now Movers and Shakers is our show. We have planned something big with the series and accordingly we have also changed the title of it.”
He further added, “The basic format will remain the same but we have planned to make it spicier, funnier and it will have something which will connect to the masses.”
So from next week onwards don’t get surprised if Shekhar says, ‘Welcome to Movers and Shakers…Masala Markey’
