TV industry has witnessed some stunning actors from Gujarat and following the suit we have got another bundle of talent from there in the form of young and vibrant Varun Kapoor.
This Ahmadabad boy though started off his acting journey via few Gujrathi films, some ad commercials and a cameo in Colors’ Na Aana Is Des Laado but his eyes are all for Bollywood. At present, this 25-year-old boy is seen as a teenager in Channel V’s Humse Hai Life. Talking of the same, Varun says, "I am 25 years old. I guess this is the only time when I will be able to play a teenager who is 18-19. Besides, I was not keen to act in the usual saas-bahu shows, so this was the perfect show for me. As opposed to regular dramas, this show is also immensely popular among the audience. I felt the need to connect with a younger audience than appeal to housewives through a saas-bahu show, so I decided to do this role."
Recalling his struggling days, Varun stated, "I had to give a lot of auditions and I needed money. It took time, but it paid off. One needs to learn a lot to survive in this industry. But with time you learn a lot."
Further, talking of his Bollywood plans, he said, "I have no mentor or Godfather to support me or help me get a good offer in films right now. I need to make my mark on television first. With films, it will be another struggle as I have no great connections in the film industry either! After I land a good role in a film, I will not do television anymore."
