Jammu girl in Sony TV serial ‘Anamika’
Jammu, Nov 23: Soniya Kour who had participated in Imagine’s Dulhan hunt for Rahul Mahajan, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge has signed her first fiction serial with Sony Entertainment Television and Trishula Productions’ upcoming serial ‘Anamika’.
Soniya plays the character of a Sardarni in the serial.
Talking to media, Soniya attributed her success to Mata Vaishno Devi and her parents.
She said, it was only because of the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi and her parents that she achieved all this. She added that she had not expected to work with Sony Entertainment Television and come into the media limelight.
Commenting on her role in the serial she said, 'Jasleen the character I play is a typical kaam chor, who escapes from her responsibilities at home. She has this tendency to gossip with her mother on phone and has a very cute bonding with Jeet, the male lead in the show and her devar.
The way she talks and the words she uses will bring smiles on the faces of viewers, she quips. “While everyone in the family forces her to do her share of work, she jumps on her husband (played by Hemant Chadha) and takes out her anger on him in a jovial manner,” Soniya said.
