But the latest news suggests that Amit has been recently replaced by Gaurav Gera. Gaurav Gera, who is known for his character from Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, too is making his comeback on TV opposite Kavita. Sources say that Amit was almost finalized to essay Tota and had even shot for the hoarding. However, things seem to have taken a new turn amidst the actor and the makers.
On being contacted over this change, Amit said, "Yes, that's true I am no more a part of Tota Weds Maina. Actually I would be busy with my movie and we found some date clash. Hence, before we would start shooting, it was a mutual decision made between the channel l and myself”.
