It has been five centuries since William Shakespeare wrote his epoch drama Romeo Juliet, but such is its fan following that it continues to be interpreted through different cultural nuances down the ages.
And the latest adaptation of Romeo Juliet is in the form of Ishaqzaade, which has been set up against the cultural backdrop of Hindi hinterland where the guns still rule the roost and it is the ability to take it out and shoot it that determines the social standing of a person in the society.
With Habib Faisal holding the baton to direct the movie, one really not need to worry about the drama content that the film would provide, as he is one of the most accomplished writers and theatre professional.
Added icing on the cake for the movie is that it has two new faces Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, who does not have a baggage from the past so they would facilitate in letting the characters they portray on the screen, become their talking point.
It is after a long time Yash Raj Films is making a comeback in action genre but they have not done away with their core USP, Romance, as it is romance that is the underlining motif of the film having seasoning in the form of hardcore violence as it is a wont in the vicinity of UP.
Hopefully the film will create wonders on the box-office window!
