Yash Chopra is a big name and he very well knows what he does. He is a visionary person and well-versed with requirements of film industry. He, through his production house Yash Raj Films plan to hone the skills of newcomers and take them through various workshops before launching them in the films produced by the house.
In the past, they have successfully launched newcomers like Anushka Sharma (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi), Ranveer Singh (Band Baaja Baaraat), and Parineeti Chopra (Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl). And now they are set to launch Boney Kapoor’s son with former wife Lt. Mona Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor in Ishaqzaade, where he is paired opposite Parineeti.
Going forward, YRF will be launching a newcomer every two years. "The idea is to hone the skills of an actor, take them through various workshops, have an entire support system for an actor to breathe and live films", says a source associated with the production house. "YRF houses the best talent of the industry from technicians to directors to writers. And for a budding newcomer it will also work as a learning ground and school”, added the source.
