Before the release of Jannat 2, it was said to be the rip-off of Nicolas Cage’s Lord of War, but now as the film has released in the theatres, the truth is out in open for all to see and pass their verdict.
Though it seems as if Lord of War is present somewhere in the background but the movie is not totally based on the Hollywood hit. The film revolves around the hitherto unexplored-in-Bollywood territory of arms trafficking.
Earlier the comparisons were made because the Emraan Hashmi starrer also deals with arms and ammunition like the Hollywood one. However, this film by Kunal Deshmukh is entirely different. As always Emraan has done a fair job playing the pakka Dilli wala who has no shame in admitting himself to be a kutti kamini cheez as his name goes Sonu Dilli KKC.
Involved in the illegal trading of guns, Emraan’s character believes that this way he is making the life easier for all who wants to kill someone or the other. But his ideologies change as he finds love in Dr. Jhanvi played by Esha Gupta. This is when our hero signs a deal with ACP Pratap played by Randeep Hooda, and helps him to plunge deeper into the arms racket.
Must say that Randeep stands as a show stealer throughout the film and if Emraan is the base then Hooda is surely the backbone of this building named Jannat 2!
Surely to be watched for some thrilling moments!
