Hitler Didi or General Didi ( named on Zee Tv USA ) is an Indian daily soap opera that airs on Zee TV. It premiered on 7 November 2011.[ It is scheduled to air every Monday to Friday at 8 PM. The story is located in the backdrop of Chandni Chowk, Delhi. Zee TV expects to see a 60% growth with the new series.[
On December 6, 2011, Zee TV announced on its Facebook page that "Hitler Didi" will be renamed to "General Didi".[]
This name change only affects broadcasts made via Zee TV Americas. According to the Facebook post, "ZEE TV Americas does not wish to endorse our brand through controversy." This name chance effect was put into action on the January 3rd 2012 airing of the show with 'Indira' wearing a uniform similar to Adolf Hitler's uniform and had the Nazi logo was blurred out.
Weighed down considerably by the enormous responsibility of single-handedly providing for her large family, young Indira Sharma (played by Rati Pandey) throws herself into the daunting task. The well-being of her family becomes her sole agenda in life. In facing the daily challenges thrown her way on both the home and work front, she loses her sense of humour and her ability to feel finer emotions. She becomes a regimental disciplinarian, a workaholic and a perfectionist who is almost always on the verge of losing her cool. Enters Rishi Kumar Diwan (played by Sumit Vats), a tenant whose sunny smile, light-hearted wit and jovial spirit come like a breath of fresh air for a family that is beginning to feel exasperated under the reign of their Hitler Didi and how Indira will get to know to about the past of Rishi . Enter Sameer Diwan (Mrunal Jain) who is searching for his brother Ricky Diwan who is none other than Rishi Kumar who mysteriously ran away from home . His sole goal is to find Ricky and bring him back . In the process he meets Indira and falls in love with her. However, Indira has fallen in love with Rishi, and Rishi loves Indira too.

Current Story
Rishi and Indira get secretly married in Macau because of unavoidable circumstances-- it is the only way to rescue Indira's younger sister.When they return they find that Indira's father Inder has come back in order to sell off the Sharma family's home-- with the connivance of his mistress Jhumpa . His secret comes out and he is kicked from the house . Indira and Rishi draw up fake documents showing the slae of the house to a company named Diwan Constructions. It turns out that Diwan Constructions is a real company. Then, at the New year's party, Rishi gets beaten by Indira's eldest brother Munna of the deal . Rishi is taken to the hospital by Indira with the help of Sameer Diwan, the owner of Diwan Constructions . Rishi is treated and is taken back home and Munna is sent to jail . Sameer Diwan is searching for his brother Ricky Diwan, who is none other than Rishi Kumar . No one knows that Rishi is Sameer Diwan's younger brother, not even Indira . Sameer Diwan wants to marry Indira for the Sharma house property. But Indira and Rishi are falling in love with each other. Once Indira realizes Rishi's fake identity, however, her faith is bound to be shattered. Indira throws Rishi from her house. After view twists now Indira is all set to tie the knot with Rishi. When Indira and Rishi will be marrying , Sameer will come with a wheel-chair ridden Vidit and Indira will run towards Vidit . Sameer will reveal the truth that because of Rishi, Vidit is on a wheel-chair and Rishi will agree to that but only half of the truth will be revealed to Indira and her family members not full . (The full truth is that after the accident Rishi took Vidit to the hospital for treatment and then took him to India for further treatment where his progress was going nice and because of this Rishi got related to Indira) . Rishi was going to tell the full truth to Indira after their marriage but this could happen . So Indira decided to break all her relations with Rishi as she thought Rishi was a liar . Now only Vidit is Rishi's last hope who can reveal the complete the truth . Will Indira marry Rishi or will she marry Sameer ? Will the other half of the truth be revealed ?
