Parichay is a new drama series on Colors. Parichay Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka, produced by television maverick Ekta Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms, is the latest fiction offering on COLORS. The story revolves around a fallen hero, Kunal Chopra, played by Samir Soni, who has lost his enthusiasm because of his failure, and is leading a lackadaisical life. Watch the story unfold as Kunal finds his way in life.

Kunal Chopra was once a career-oriented and successful lawyer; but fate had something else in store for him. He fell foul of his employer, D. K. Thakral, a powerful and unscrupulous lawyer. Kunal not only lost his job but was also separated from his girlfriend, Richa, who was Thakral's daughter. With his professional career in tatters, Kunal tried his hand at other ventures; but they all failed. Dejected, he began to feel like a wastrel amidst his family and society.
Kunal now lives in a small apartment house with his parents Veena and Raj Chopra, two younger brothers named Gaurav and Anand, a sister called Raveena, Gaurav's wife Seema and two nieces (Seema and Gaurav's daughters). Gaurav is the only earning member in the family, employed in his father-in-law Sudhanshu Garewal's business firm. Anand is studying law and hoping to follow in Kunal's footsteps. Raveena, the youngest sibling, is in a college. They all live peacefully and love each other, but constantly face a shortage of money.
Anand passes his final examinations and becomes a lawyer. The whole family rejoices for him and hopes for an end to its financial distress. Anand gets employed at D. K. Thakral's law firm, where Kunal had earlier worked. Siddhi Malik, an idealistic young female lawyer, is also working there. Siddhi and Anand fall in love and get engaged with the consent of their families. But their happiness is short-lived. Anand dies in a bomb blast a few hours before he is supposed to marry Siddhi. When the news of his death reaches his family, Veena, his mother, gets paralyzed by shock and has to be hospitalized. A pall of gloom descends on the Malik and Chopra families.
In these circumstances, Kunal's father Raj gets an idea. He suggest that Siddhi and Kunal should get married to each other. According to him, this would bring happiness to both families and help Veena to recover. This proposal is accepted by Siddhi's relatives, who know that a girl who loses her fiance hours before the wedding is considered unmarriageable in their conservative, superstitious society. Thus, Kunal and Siddhi unexpectedly become husband and wife. They agree to keep their relationship on a strictly platonic level.
Kunal now makes efforts to get a job and support his family. He is hired by a law firm after Siddhi secretly recommends his name. Richa , who still loves Kunal, makes plans to separate him from Siddhi. One fine day, Siddhi and Kunal find themselves pitted against each other in court. Siddhi's client is Richa's brother Rohit, who is accused of marrying and abandoning Kunal's client, a young woman. Siddhi eventually learns, to her shock, that Rohit is guilty and his father Thakral has tampered with the evidence in the case. Siddhi, while bound to Rohit's case by a contract, helps the cause of justice. She makes sure that Kunal gets the necessary proof to win the case. Kunal tastes professional success once more; and feels grateful to Siddhi when he learns of her contribution. Husband and wife come closer to each other and Richa feels jealous.
Raveena gets engaged to Vikram Garewal, her childhood friend and Seema's brother. However, Raveena is infatuated with Rohit Thakral, in spite of his past actions, and runs away on the eve of her wedding to Vikram. Kunal brings her back in time and gets her married to Vikram. On her wedding night, Raveena tries to commit suicide but is saved. Siddhi convinces Vikram-- who is upset with the revelation about Rohit-- to give Raveena another chance. Vikram agrees and tries his best to bring Raveena out of her depression. Meanwhile, Richa doubles her efforts to separate Kunal and Siddhi. In spite of that, Siddhi and Kunal continue to grow closer to each other and finally consummate their marriage.
