Phir Subah Hogi, has been hitting the headlines for its striking storyline and unique concept. The show, which is replacing Ram Milaayi Jodi and hitting the screens in the month of April, has a bunch of talented actors in its cast, Narayani Shastri, Sikandar Kharbanda and Anushree Bathla.
The show is a real life story based about the Bedia tribe of the Bundelkhand region wherein girls are forced to dance before the Thakurs (landlords) to earn money.
Narayani will be seen as Gulabia - the lead protagonist's mother. A beautiful 'Raai Dancer' who at her prime was the most sought after woman amongst the Thakurs of that region, Narayani as Gulabia will be seen caught in the whirlpool of societal norms on one hand and her daughter who wants to break free from all customs.
Anushree will play the important role of Lakshmi, the youngest daughter-in-law of Narayani Shastri's family. Anushree will be shown pregnant and she will receive all the love and affection from her family. Reason? If she gives birth to a girl child then the family will get an opportunity to earn their livelihood. Anushree was last seen in Neela Telefilm's Hamari Saas Leela on Colors wherein she played Leela's (Apara Mehta) daughter. Currently, she is also a part of Doordarshan's Imtihaan. Sikandar will play the character of Katari, younger brother of Narayani Shastri. He will add fun elements to this otherwise serious story.
