Indian actor and comedian Ashok Saraf is a popular name in Hindi cinema. He has appeared in many Hindi and Marathi movies since the late 1960s. He is mainly known for comedy movies.
He has also starred in television serials like Yeh Choti Badi Baatein and Hum Paanch (as Anand Mathur).
He set a benchmark in the region of comedy with his stupendous performance as Anand Mathur in Balaji Telefilms’ Hum Paanch aired on Zee TV. But he disappeared from the entertainment industry and was away from TV from a long time, but here is a good piece of news for all his fans. Soon he is going to be seen in SAB TV‘s new comedy show.
Director Milind Dabke is coming up with a new comedy show on SAB TV, for which he is said to have approached Ashok Saraf. Ashok found the concept interesting and has agreed to make a comeback.
When sources asked Ashok about his comeback, he confirmed the news and said, “There were no good opportunities in television since a long time now. Nothing seemed attractive in TV after Hum Paanch and that’s the simple reason why I could not take up any project. The other reason is the format of daily soaps which consume a lot of time. And I was busy with my film projects. But now Milind Dabke is coming up with a wonderful concept and I am sure people will love to see it”.
