So here we are back with some updates regarding the star cast of Jay Mehta’s highly talked about venture on Zee TV, which is said to be based on the lines of the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Namaste London.
Last we had updated you that the makers have locked in names like Sukirti Khandpal (Pia of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani), Ashish Sharma (Chandragupta Maurya fame), and Manmeet Singh. Actor Nandish Sandhu was expected to play the male lead but his ill health made him opt out of the show therefore, the production house will take some more time in finding for a suitable replacement.
Anyway, the news which we have got today states that Malini Kapoor, last seen in Crime Patrol is the latest one to join the gang. Sources say that she will play the bua of the female lead and hers will be a naughty, chirpy and the only character who will support her niece. Furthermore, she will have a skeleton in the closet.
Malini’s character will have a maligned past; her groom had abandoned her on wedding night and had fled to London. But she will believe that he will come back someday, and will dress up like a married woman wearing sindoor and bangles. She confirmed the news and said, “It is a very interesting role that I will be playing in the show. My character is very chirpy, bubbly in nature but has a past associated with her.”
