Now this comes as the most shocking news from the world of daily soaps! If believe the latest buzz doing the rounds then the ardent followers of Star Plus’ Saath Nibhana Saathiya will not be able to see their favorite Giaa Manek as the naïve Gopi vahu anymore.
Yes, under quite a shocking development, the producers Rashmi Telefilms have thrown Giaa out of the show and have replaced her with little known Devoleena Bhattacharjee. For the uninitiated, Devoleena was last seen in Imagine TV’s Preeto as Baani.
As per a Star Plus spokesperson, "Starting today, June 7th, one of STAR Plus' longest running shows, Saath Nibhana Saathiya will see a new face essaying the role of Gopi Bahu, the lead protagonists of the show; which has been played by Giaa Manek since its launch. The association with Giaa Manek has however been discontinued with immediate effect, due to unprofessional conduct and breach of contract from the actor's side”.
It is notable that in the past Giaa has been facing slight problems with Star and her show’s production house owing to her participation in Colors’ Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. The actress was even warned not to accept the dance reality show and was even brought before CINTAA. However, later it was heard that all issues were sorted amidst Colors and Star amicably and no one had issues with Giaa taking part in JDJ season 5.
But this sudden news has certainly left all shocked. It is heard that Giaa too wasn’t aware of any such replacement and this stood as news to her as well!
It’s really sad for Giaa and all her fans but guess even the show will have to bear the burns. After all, how can anyone imagine Saathiya and Gopi without Giaa!
