Pride puffed Veena Malik is walking on air these days as she got her Bollywood debut Daal Me Kuch Kala Hai in her kitty. She also declared that leading ladies of tinsel town should not feel shy in picking item numbers as item number these days are talk of the town and sometimes the whole movie’s identity is a single item number.

By now you must have made out that she is indeed reacting to seasoned actress and dream girl of town Hema Malini’s statement where she had expressed her thought how leading ladies shouldn’t be doing an item songs.

Contrary to what Hema said, Veena stated, "Not really, things are changing now. Item songs are a big challenge. Sometimes the whole film depends on an item song, an item song is a huge responsibility and I would say that heroines should not shy away from them”.

On being probed about her Bollywood debut, Veena replied, "I am happy that without becoming part of a group and without the support of a man, I am making a place for myself in Bollywood”.

She also revealed about her upcoming projects by stating, “I am doing five-six female-centric films but at the same time I am doing item numbers. I did Channo, one in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and very soon I'll do another”.
