Maruti Suzuki, the largest car making brand of India, has launched its most anticipated model namely Maruti Alto 800.
The brand has launched the model in 6 different variants- three of
Petrol and the rest of CNG versions inIndia on Tuesday 16 October 2012.
The launch reason was the problems and the barriers faced by the company due to hike in the price of Petrol in the previous one year duration, which had reduced the demand of the vehicle- Maruti Suzuki Alto.
So, company was designing a new car for the fuel efficiency as the major requirement and after its manufacture, the company claims that the car is highly fuel efficient. The car is the mixture of the Maruti Suzuki 800 and Maruti Suzuki Alto and its hybrid look has bee named as Maruti Suzuki Alto 800.
There are new additions in the features such as improved gear shift and the increased leg spacing for the people to stretch well during the journey. The biggest competitors of the car are Tata Nano 2012 and Hyundai Eon.
The Alto 800 with petrol engine is boasted to give 22.74 kmpl mileage and that of the CNG versions, it would be about 30.26 kmpl. The price of the cars lies from Rs.2.44 lacs to Rs.3.56 as per the different variants.
