With her flawless beauty and stunning acting skills, Drashti Dhami won her laurels playing the vivacious Geet in Star One’s Geet Hui Sabse Parayi.
She enjoys a huge fan following and her enthusiasts are more than eager to hear of their favorite actress. Drashti as Geet has created a benchmark for herself and her on-screen chemistry with Gurmeet Choudhary aka Maan is still considered to be the best among all.
Post the show’s end all had been eagerly waiting to hear of her comeback and now that she is returning playing small screen’s Madhubala, one can’t help but rave about her look in the show. Tilted as Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, this show by Saurabh Tiwari’s Nautanki Films will go on air from May 28, 2012 at 8:30 PM on Colors (Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna has some real competition now).
As seen in the promos so far, the show is based on film fraternity and highlights Bollywood and its happenings. The pretty Drashti will be seen playing a simple girl Madhubala, who has no fantasy for fame but is forced into it. Talking of her character, she said, “Madhubala is not a very ambitious girl and she does not crave for fame. She just wants to stay with her loved ones”.
On being quizzed as to how different Geet happens to be from Madhubala, she said, “Madhubala is mature and calm whereas Geet was very bubbly. Moreover, as Geet I used to say oye and thoudi, so I have to get rid of the habit. I am also working on my body language.”
She is quite hopeful that people will love her in this new role and her chemistry with co-star Vivian Dsena will also kick off well!
