Actor Anup Soni has played a variety of roles in his career so far, from acting to hosting; the seasoned actor has tried everything.
Currently he is playing a pivotal role in Colors’ acclaimed Balika Vadhu and is even seen as the host narrating real life crime stories in Sony TV’s Crime Patrol. Talking about his association with the show, Anup says, "While I am shooting for the show, I am just another responsible citizen of the country and not an actor. And this not just a crime show, it makes people aware and that is the reason it is so popular”.
Producer Vipul Shah of Optimystix said, "I am happy that viewers have liked our show and today we celebrating 100 episodes. I hope the show continues like this. The basic aim behind the show is to look at the 'why' behind every crime. More than showing the reconstruction of events, we try to look into what was there in the mind of the person who committed the crime”.
It is notable that Crime Patrol Dastak is the fourth season of Crime Patrol, which first went on air way back in May 2003. It was then hosted by actor Diwakar Pundir, who was later replaced by Shakti Anand. The second season of it went live in January 2010, and was presented by Anup and actress Saakshi Tanwar.
