Living up the pressure of bagging decent TRPs and surviving the hard core competition is certainly turning a big time task for our daily shows.
Gone are the days when shows were given the liberty to continue their run despite the fact of them performing badly, today, the scenario is completely different. If you work its good, else pack your bag and get going. This is what the channels have to say to the shows which are not getting the desired rates.
In the recent past we got to know of many shows that went off air or rather we should say were made to shut down owing to their poor act. And what to say of shows, shutting down of a complete channel like Imagine TV itself vouches for the high level competition existing in TV world. Before you think as to why we are discussing this fact out here let us tell you that if the buzz stands true then soon Sony TV’s newly launched Shubh Vivah will be the next one to bid adieu.
Yes, we know it comes as a big surprise as the daily is hardly a couple of months old but this is what we have been hearing of late. Starring actors like Eijaz Khan, Aashka Goradia, and Rakesh Bedi, the show has been facing constant dipping in TRPs.
A source said, “Everyone on the sets is aware of the news. It will go off air by end of May or early June 2012. The actors in the show have started getting calls from other production houses for work”. Under all cases, Hats off’s upcoming show, tentatively titled Byah Hamari Bahu Ka, is expected to replace Shubh Vivah.
Well, it’s really sad for Shubh Vivah!
